These people took advantage of my 15 year old daughter getting her nails done alone. She showed David the nail tech a picture of what she wanted and he said ok no problem. Then proceeded to do the design he wanted and used the colors he wanted. When I came to pick her up and questioned why she had something so different I was told she shoukd have said something sooner so now we have to deal with it. My daughter is quiet and shy but I am now. I use to get massages and my nails done here all the time and this has never been a problem. But too take advantage of a quiet 15 year old girl is not ok and I will NEVER come back or recommend. I got my nails done with Nina she do good work so I don't know what happened this time. She didn't want to fix it after I paid 130 and tipped her 15.00. She asked me did I want her to put glue under the part that was lifting up. After 4 days of having a new full set this is what happened and she didn't want to fix it. Then sent me to another person name T.T who told me she can cut out the spots where it was lifting up and put more acrylic like a fill. Then told me she wouldn't be able to do the design, and I couldn't pick another design. That I will have to pay for a new design after I already paid about $40-$50 for the design that I picked the first time. So I just went and got the glue under the nail and that's what it look like. I would never ever go back to them and I don't recommend anyone else going back to them. Today was my first time visiting Happy Nails. I was extremely lucky to have Mindy as my nail tech. She was extremely friendly and personable. I got the spa package which included a spa pedicure, 60 minute massage, mini facial, and eyebrows. When I tell you, it was an EXPERIENCE!!! Highly recommend this place. I immediately was taken and received the worst manicure. It took 20 minutes start to finish and it looks terrible. She was obviously trying to get as many clients as possible. All done here. Don't waste your time or money at this place. They are horrible with scheduling and your time. You call and they tell you someone isn't working that they would be in next day. Schedule you and when u drive to appointment they say that person not working that they worked yesterday. They are incompetent and seems like this happens a lot to minorities. Seems very racist. Please avoid this place! I visited this location with my mom a few weeks ago, and I will tell you, this was one for the books. The aesthetics of this place are appealing (including the hostess booth, the oversized bar, complimentary wine or water (one glass), etc.). However, the service and overall quality lacked significantly. The power went out for at least 30-40 minutes; more than 30 patrons were in the establishment (not including the staff). People, including my mom, were forced to use cellphone flashlights to help the tech finish nail services (they were advised by management to keep going). We were offered no discount for the inconvenience. Additionally, the techs act like they don't understand English unless you add services (spend more money). I attempted to tip my tech, but I received weird stares when I tried to walk to the back. I was told, don't worry about it. The other tech was trying to take the tip (no ma'am). A few hours later, one of my mom's nails broke. So we had to go back the next day (a 30+ mile drive). Long story short, everything was overpriced considering the quality of service provided. She rushed through the first time and left air bubbles in the gel that, when pressed, moved around. I returned to get her to fix the two nails with the air bubbles, and after the repair, I still had air bubbles in the gel!!! It seems like she doesn't like her job. And she needs extra training. And when I approached my husband to get the keys to our car, she snapped at me to wait in the front! This place is overhyped and overpriced!!! I do NOT recommend it! This place is trash! The attitude is not worth the savings on price. I wish I would have remember the nail techs name because she only cared about upselling me to different more expensive services. When I told her I just wanted a basic manicure, she had attitude and gave me the worst service. Was so rushed, she kept talking to other techs as if complaining that she's having to waste her time on me. And to make matters worse, I had brought my own nail polish and she put them in my purse not fully sealed and they spilled all over the inside. However, my visit turned out to be extremely disappointing, to say the least. Firstly, despite requesting a full gel set, I was not provided with the service I desired. Instead, I received a basic gel manicure, missing several elements I had specifically asked for. I literally showed her my nails that I wanted and she gave me something completely different. This lack of attention to detail and failure to fulfill customer requests was truly frustrating and left me feeling unsatisfied with the overall service. She was also rushing to get my nails done Furthermore, when I brought up the issue with the manager and politely asked for at least a discount due to receiving something I didn't want, the response I received was shockingly hostile. The manager displayed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service skills, refusing to acknowledge their mistake and instead blaming me for the misunderstanding. This level of disrespect and dismissiveness towards a paying customer is simply unacceptable. After literally explaining to him that this was never the set I wanted and also explained to him that I showed the nail technician the exact length and shape. Mind you, the totally for my medi/pedi was $85! What waste! Overall, my experience at Happy Nails was far from pleasant. I would be lying if I said this whole incident sat with me lightly. Not only did I not receive the service I requested, but I also encountered a hostile manager who made the situation even more unpleasant. As a black woman, I felt like I needed to hold my composure due to the stereotypical outlook of the whole thing if it was to be escalated. So I found it unfair that I didn't get what I wanted due to my fear of being viewed as 'hostile'. Unhappy Nails. I showed up for an appointment I had scheduled at my previous appointment as I always do only to be told my nail tech was on vacation, I'm not sure if my appointment was actually ever scheduled or just canceled with no courtesy call. I was able to get my fill done with another technician and it was the worse experience of my life. Her first attempt several nails had to be repainted as she has a towel jammed up under the uv light, upon fixing the nails she made them gritty with the powered from filing them, after looking at my gritty nails with the color I had chosen I could see they were all lumpy the acrylic. I use my natural nails with acrylic on top, I asked her if she could re do them and even out the acrylic on the nails, she then proceeded to use the file that they use when they're removing the acrylic and file my nails all the way down in turn burning two of my nails beds and cutting them open as well as cutting the sides of my fingers and cuticles. Two other nail techs attempted to correct her mistakes. Not even a week later and the polish has already almost chipped completely off one nail and the thin layer of acrylic has already started to lift in a large area meaning I will now need to pay for another fill A WEEK LATER! My hands were left sore for several days from all the cuts. read more

Today was the first time I've been to Happy Nails Day Spa. My nail tech advised that she had move to this location. I was quite impressed. It's a lovely atmosphere and they have numerous manicure tables and pedi chairs. They will be no waiting for the next available table/chair. I was most impressed that they have beautiful wine bar offering complimentary beverage while being pampered. You can have wine, water, soda I even saw someone drinking iced coffee. They also offer a small fruit plate. They have an array of spa services to include private rooms for groups- perfect for girls day out, bridal parties even date night. I've been going to Happy Nails as a "treat myself" salon for over a year, I like the ambiance and usually get good service. The place is pricey but I am willing to pay for above and beyond service. I have been meaning to try their spa services for awhile, at the recommendation of a friend. Firstly, whoever handles their phone calls needs a better attitude. She sounds like she's doing you a favor by talking to you. If their "appointments" are just something they say but don't honor then that is the last visit from me. I made an appointment for a massage for my husband just to have him show up and they not have someone available. It's 2pm- did you not realize you didn't have someone all morning? However, I had come in for the first time yesterday to get my nails done by a new place; As I wasn't in my home town and needed them done. Everything went well and was reasonably priced; That is until today I noticed that two of my nails have broken already. Not sure if the acrylic was put on too thin or whatnot, but I hadn't have had this problem before. It's very hard finding a technician that takes the time to trim and shape the nails. They always leave the corners sharp. I've seen two different techs and I've had to go home and refile my nails. They left them ruff and jagged. And the last time the paraffin was too hot and burnt my toes. At the time I didn't realize it. About a week later, I noticed my toes felt sunburned on my left foot. And went to the doctors because of the pain. And thinking back, I remembered the hot paraffin. Doctor said she had treated others with this same problem. I will go back in search for a technician that's good for me. And stay away from the paraffin. read more

However, these people seem like they're racing one another to see who can come in first place. What ever happened to good, old fashioned pedicures? Well, they're non existent in this place. To say my lady took 5 minutes is being generous. I guess it's because she had an eyebrow appointment that was waiting for her. In this case, why not just have the pedicure wait instead of rushing to get a job done?! From my experience at this salon, it's not worth spending money on a "pedicure". What I just experienced was more of a foot wash finished with polish. Not coming back here and wouldn't recommend to anyone. Go to smaller salons that offer a more personalized experience.
