Yeah, I already knew this place wasn't great, but I didn't think it would be THIS bad. I came in wanting the cheapest pedicure package, which was $35. The lady kept insisting that I get one of the more expensive packages, and I had to tell her no at least twice. She kept trying to justify it by saying I would need the higher package because I already had polish on my nails... it was literally REGULAR nail polish. No gel, no acrylic, nothing that needed to be filed or removed in some special way. She finally proceeded with the $35 package I originally asked for, but then while doing my feet she asked if I wanted the callus removed. I said sure, thinking that was part of the pedicure, only for her to tell me it was an EXTRA $7. Like what?? The whole experience just felt like they were constantly trying to upsell me instead of simply giving me the service I asked for. I also just didn't like the vibes in here at all. There are SO many other nail salons in Chino Hills to choose from, and honestly, I've never really liked this place to begin with. This experience definitely didn't change my mind. read more

First time at this establishment , my experience did not start nor ended well! As I walked in, I asked for the Price for a fill! I was quoted $48 which is pretty average. I was seated right away The Nail tech started to work on my nails by filing off the gel polish. He brought over a bowl which I thought was water and place my hands in the bowl I assumed it was to Soak my cuticles. Within a few seconds. I could smell the acetone. When I questioned him what he was doing. He mentioned he was giving me a new set. I reminded him , that I did not ask for a new set I asked for a fill. He gave me an annoyed stare Lucky the individual that gave me the quote when I walked in was the manager, who confirmed the tech took it upon himself to start on A new set without asking me first ! At that point I should had walked away The gel nail set the tech completed was horrible The gel polish is bumpy. Not smooth at all. Ethan did my gel mani and Shaprina did my pedicure. For both, they set timers for my massage so there was no question of getting short changed. I appreciated their transparency. The salon is clean and has comfortable seats. The pedicure water was warm and she took her time cleaning up my nails and removing calluses. I was pleasantly surpised she used an orange slice at one point and hot stone massage at one point. She was very meticulous with her painting as well and took time to make sure it was perfect. Ethan asked me after he shaped my nails if the shape was right and he took special care of a torn cuticle I had on one finger. The music here is at a nice low volume so you can talk if you are with a friend. They also have a TV on mute with subtitles. There is a nice smell inside, not like chemicals at all. The hot towels they use on the pedicures are so lovely. Overall this is a great place and priced well in comparison to similar competitors in the area. I have been coming to happy nails on and off for the past 6ish years. Recently I decided to come back and give them a try. When you arrive the staff is always very welcoming. This location is very neat and clean. I was seated immediately with Jessica . This was my first time with her and I was very pleased with the way she did my nails. She is quick and to the point. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails and I can say Jessica understood the shape and style I wanted. She did an amazing job and because I was so impressed I'll be scheduling with her again. During the Covid Era, my local and normal place still hasn't re-opened. So I decided to give this place a try since they were in an area that was allowed to reopen. I called and made my appointment with a female - however when I arrived 5 mins before my appointment, they didn't have me down in the books. They weren't busy, so they were able to seat me right away. They have plexiglass barriers between the technicians and customers during the services. I find that Happy Nail prices are a lot higher than your smaller mom and pop shops. A pedi is $27 (basic) and the mani is $17 (basic). You can get the combo for $42. I normally pay $25 for both services at my normal place just for reference and there was no difference in what I got at Happy Nails. I guess I need to suck it up until my local place is able to reopen. Everyone is wearing masks and distancing - they also have a table near the entrance with hand sanitizer. I saw a guy that was wiping down the seats and tables when customers left. Kudos for their COVID 19 precautions. read more

There are too many good options to come here. The polish on my nails was clearly old as it was still tacky 4 hours later and ended up messed up. I paid for 4 people and reached for my Amex. The guy said "do you have visa or Mastercard?" I said "do you not accept Amex?" And he just didn't answer and used the silence so I ended up pulling out my visa. I'm 100% sure they just don't want to cover the extra .025 Amex processing which was annoying but not terrible. Terrible: my sister didn't want polish so Linh tried to upcharge buffing which my sister passed on - she then had an obvious attitude the entire manicure and even cut my sister finger in cutting the cuticle way too short! Like a huge hole in my sisters finger! It was possibly intentional! After passing on buffing, she left the nails uneven and not filed so scratchy. Also, probably because of the huge wound, she didn't use anything to clean the lotion off the nails so the clear polish just bubbled and stuck there. My sister who never asks for anything asked her to take the polish off and she said "sure, later" and walked away! I had to step in and get someone to take the bubbling clear coat off. I regret tipping before we were done. Once the money was exchanged, the attitude was extremely flippant and my sister has a round on her finger!!! DONT RISK IT! read more

Not only are my nails ugly and poorly shaped. The nail technician handled his drill so carelessly that he cut me multiple times. It's $58 + $20 extra for gel pedicure. Everything was okay until the lady (I didn't get her name) pulled out my ingrown toenail. It was painful and I didn't notice at first, but it was bleeding a little. I told the lady, and she didn't say anything and continued with the services. When I go to other places for a gel pedicure and they need to take out an ingrown toenail, they almost always do it painlessly. I went yesterday to get a pedicure and the staff was very nice but I would have expected way more for the price. I woke up this morning and I am so sore and in so much pain. I have 3 toes on each side that have cuts on them from her cuticle clippers. I have never had this happen before in all the years I have had pedicures. I walked in around 920 and was immediately seated/treated and didn't leave until almost 11. While there another customer was getting upset and stated "that's enough on that foot it's been almost 30 minutes on one foot". At first I thought she was being dramatic but now I understand. She spent a very long time to give me my pedicure and I think it's because they take off/do too much. I have never been sore after a pedicure so this is definitely a first. Great location right off the freeway as I drove from Rancho Cucamonga which was a bit of a drive for me but worth it! I decided to have an appointment at this location as it was recommended by a friend of mine ... as soon as you walk in they do the normal check you in have you sanitize your hands and of course check temperature due to Covid, it seemed clean, sanitized, and there was plexi glass between the technician and customers. There is a $2 sanitation fee and they have you sign a Covid waiver. I feel waivers should be given up front instead of when you are already getting services so customers are aware! They do use plastic covers for the pedicure bowls which is great to avoid any unnecessary germs or bacteria from non sterilized bowls. Over all my acrylic full set and pedicure came out great I'm glad I came to this location even tho it's a bit of a ways from where I live. read more
