It had been a while since I treated myself to a nail day, so this was my first time visiting this salon. The nail technicians I had did an amazing job on both my nails and toes. I got the classic pedicure with regular polish, and the 3-minute massage at the end was such a refreshing touch. However, when I got home, I noticed there was still some dry/dead skin on the soles of my feet, which was a bit disappointing. That said, my toes still turned out beautifully. For my hands, I got a basic manicure with gel polish. My cuticles were cleaned up nicely and the glove treatment at the end left my hands feeling super soft. Two stars are for them at least trying to make up for the mistake by giving $5 off, but it was still $45 for a pedicure and manicure with no polish. She cut my toe nails way too short and cut me several times. I just asked for my finger nails tips to be even and she filed them completely down short. I've seen three different owners as this place and every time I come with the current owners, I have a terrible experience. Do not come here to get your nails done . They do not clean their tools properly. I got a fungal infection and paronychia from this place. I now have to use a topical medication in hopes of it going away and if that does not work I have to take a 12 week long oral medication. Which requires lab work just to be able to take it . True Touch Nails is my go-to nail salon. I've been coming here for about 2 years now and have always been happy with their services. Martin does my acrylic/gel fills and he's the best. I've changed salons a few times in the past because the nail technicians were not careful and would cut up my cuticles with their drills. I would leave in agony and not happy at all. I just want to address some of the comments the manager made to me. Yes I was told I can come back anytime to have it fixed it but because the issue happened a week after I had my nails done I still had to pay basically full price to have it all fixed evenly. Which is crazy cuz not only is it a quality issue but it's a hazard. And then to lecture me about it after I repeatedly told them that how was I supposed to know to get it fixed right away when the nail starting melting a week later. And the comment about my nail shape. It had nothing to do with how I wanted it shaped. I asked for it to be EVEN and instead she kept filing it shorter and shorter AND IT WAS STILL UNEVEN. First time and was honestly the BEST mani pedi I've had in a LONG time. I came on a Sunday and got lucky it wasn't busy so they didn't rush me out. I got a fill and gel manicure and they shaped my nails so well. They took their time to perfect them. Pedicure was the $55 spa deluxe with gel polish and it was so relaxing. Fill with gel was around $45. Prices are higher everywhere due to inflation but it's been such a long time I've actually got what I paid for. I will definitely be back. I first had came to this place when it first opened up years ago. I went on Friday since it's two minutes away from my house and I needed a manicure. The last time I had gotten a manicure done was a year ago so my cuticles were dry even after getting acrylics or gel x done (I would go to different at home techs or these services), I was desperate. I was hesitant to try this place after the first time coming, but I love that their prices are reasonable compared to other places. The girl that did my nails, sits at the corner toward where the gel polishes are, her manicure assigned area is not the one close to the wall but she's in between the gel polish and another nail tech; she wears glasses. About two weeks ago I went back because I loved the service I had received and the prices were recent. Well this last time I went I found out they were under new owners. Everything seemed rushed and the place was empty. I noticed I had to get a fill much sooner than expected, well I ended up getting a new set because they broke. Normally my experiences here have been great. The service is normally nice, the facility is clean and staff are friendly. Last Friday I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure and was disappointed. I'm not sure if the staff were new and that was what contributed to the issues I experienced but it's now Monday and my gel manicure that normally never comes up is peeling on every finger to the point where I've resorted to nail glue to salvage what I can of an expensive manicure. As for the pedicure my nails were cut down much shorter than I would have preferred but was not asked or consulted before they were cut and the polish was applied in layers so thin that you can see through to my natural nail in the patchy application. All in all, I'd say book an appointment with caution. read more

I will admit, I'm not the easiest person when it comes to getting my nails done. I like my nails to look a certain way. Maybe you'll have a different experience here but to say this is the worst place I've been to is an understatement. I think what got me the most was their dishonesty from the very beginning. When I was researching for a nails salon nearby, I came across this place and read countless positive reviews before I decided to schedule an appointment. Upon calling, the owner seem confused with all the names of the "workers" I mentioned, but he proceeded to say a name out of the 3 names I had said, and said something along the line of "Yes. Cathy is in, we schedule you". The moment I arrived, I was paired with a male technician without any warning. Okay, so I proceeded. The owner tried to catch a conversation with me by asking if I found them on Yelp, because he doesn't recognized any of the names I've mentioned. My best guess is, the previous owner/store with all the positive reviews had sold their store to these folks and they're now trying to keep it afloat. I wish he had told me this initially but he really did try to play it off like it was nothing. The shop was so rundown, dirty, and overall, unsanitary. The technician that did my pedicure was constantly coughing but acted very nonchalant about it. At this point, I'm already fed up with everything . Then the male technician that was working on my gel-x set proceeded to drilling my cuticles so deep, I jumped a couple of times. After about 2 weeks, I took the gel-x off, and indeed, I had deep marks on my nails. It goes without saying, the work done was horrible, and I was charged over $100 for such poor and dishonest service. FYI, I did not recognize ANY of the products they used on me. read more

I tried them for the first time weeks ago since they were open on Sundays and I was able to get serviced right away. However, the quality of work was as not good. My gel mani was lumpy, the builder gel wasn't smooth. For my pedicure, I didn't expect it right away when the lady left but I realized it wasn't enough coats of polish and I had to ask someone to add another layer. My daughter has been living in Pomona well over a year. Since then, we've been on the hunt for a good nail place within a 5 to 8 mile radius, and when I tell you we've been on the hunt, I mean it. After more than 6 failed attempts & scouring Claremont, Pomona, and Montclair. We finally found the holy grail, lol. 1st of all, they weren't so busy that they couldn't take us in or told us 30 min. I get that I didn't make an appointment anywhere, but who the heck waits 30 min to get a pedicure? Tops 15 min max. So we called around, everywhere was 30 min. So I called True Touch Nails & I asked how long the wait was. They said I could come in. I told them I would be there in 10 but didn't realize it was more like 15 because I didn't notice they were in Chino & we were in Montclair. Not a big deal they took us in right away. They had plenty of people, and it wasn't a long wait for someone to be free and attend to someone else. At 1st glance, you think the prices are high but the $55 packet includes the gel polish which is way more than regular plus you get all these relaxing feel good treats like a longer massage, cucumber slices on your leg, hot stones, plus luxurious cream and oil. It also felt good in the chairs to massage by back. The chairs also have an arm extender to put your phone in for hands-free watching. Also, one of my big toes has been hurting lately without my saying anything. My attendant told me my nail was cracked & I had fungus. She told me what to buy & said my toe wasn't bad. The good nail was starting to grow out by making sure to buy the solution at any drug store. She added acrylic to the crack. All this time at my one did any of the other places say anything. Oh, we're definitely coming back to this nail place. The ambiance is nice and clean with air conditioner. You can tell they take pride in the way the shop looks. read more

I scheduled the first appointment on a Monday morning and was warmly greeted by Vince upon entering the establishment. His staff were working to get things set up for the day and a woman was ready to help me with my gel manicure immediately. Extremely organized and efficient service. I came in with a simple design in mind and explained I wanted to add something wintery to the look. Together, we came up with something perfect without being overboard. Though the lady working on my nails was quiet, she was focused and friendly when we did have some brief exchanges. She worked speedily but with intention and her work was impeccable. I wish I got her name because I would love to have her do my nails again in the future. Everything turned out perfectly and I couldn't have been more pleased. I went to this nail salon today for the first time with my friend and had a disappointing experience. I paid $68 for a pedicure that included scrubs, hot stones, and more, but the older woman (i didn't get her name) who did my pedicure rushed through it and didn't seem to put in any effort. My friend got the classic pedicure and they started working on us at the same time and mine, the pedicure with all the extras, was finished well before my friend who had gotten the classic option. I asked her to shape my nails square and she told me she couldn't and i asked her if she can try and she did fix it after asking her a few times. i don't know if she just didn't like me but it's like she didn't want to even do the service. The massage was weak, and I felt like I didn't get my money's worth at all. Im probably never going back here read more

We had an appt today at 9:30am for my daughter's 5th birthday. This was her first time getting her nails done and I really hoped it would be special. I had a regular pedicure while she got the "princess" mani/pedi. They didn't even start on her until 9:45am. The place is open and clean, but the technicians were not friendly. Not so much as even a "hello" or "good morning." It was kinda sad that they didn't even acknowledge her birthday even though she was wearing a crown and birthday sash. It would've been nice for them to just say "Happy Birthday". The TV had a rather inappropriate show playing that had violence and foul language. I wasn't comfortable watching it and my daughter should definitely have not been forced to see it either. There were also little gnats flying around the whole time. When you go to the counter to pay there is a sign that states that the prices listed are only for cash customers and card customers will pay extra. False advertising much?! Sadly because of all this we won't be back here. What happened to good old customer service? read more

There are new owners. They do not clean their instruments like they used to, the pedicure man was terrible. I paid for callous remover and he didn't even scrub my feet with a pumice stone. He kept rushing and I asked him to please slow down and not keep hurting me. He kept digging in really hard around my toes and kept going even when he knew it was hurting. No one seemed to know about colors or how to properly match their own colors except one person. When I told them I wasn't happy they just said ok thanks for telling us and did absolutely nothing. When I called I had to call multiple times to get an answer. They didn't want to make an appt as they want walk ins so they can make people wait. I will not return to this place any more. Upon first calling for walk-in availability for my mother-in-law and I, I was asked to come in about an hour and half later (1:30pm) which was fine with me since it gave me time to get there without rushing. I arrive around 1:20pm and was told they would be right with me. Long story short I didn't actually get seated until 2:50pm. Another girl had come in right after us and he told her it would take 30 mins to get seated. She didn't get seated until after I was part way into my session so she definitely waited longer than an hour. I don't mind waiting but don't completely underestimate the amount of time just to get more customers. Besides having to wait while, my nail tech told me during my pedicure that she wanted to cut my big toe nail so that it wouldn't curve in and cause an ingrown toe nail so of course I agreed because no one likes that. Ever since that day back in November it is now almost end of January and my big toe still hurts on the inner corner with even the slightest pressure. I haven't had an ingrown toenail in years because I always cut straight across. I also understand that it's their job to hustle and make money but she kept trying to persuade me throughout the session to get gel polish and I kept repeating that I don't care for gel on my toes. It's unnecessary to me. But she kept pushing. I'm all for hard working but she was doing to much and disrespecting my choice by repeatedly asking me. I hate the feeling of pressure of being pushed especially after confirming my choice. All this to say I will not be coming back here.
