Stopped by happy lemon to get our favorite mango matcha smoothie. It was made perfectly. The staff were nice, friendly, and timely! Definitely recommend if you're in the area. The strawberry shortcake is another one of my favorites!

Nowhere near what I ordered.

I haven't been to Happy Lemon since 2019, I typically love coming to Happy Lemon seeing that I live 40 minutes away, however; today I decided to come in and the cashier wasn't particularly happy nor interested in serving me. I ordered the D6 & he didn't ask what ice level nor sugar level I wanted. He went straight to preparing my drink. He added 100% ice which takes away from the flavor and inability to get the taro balls at the bottom. He made my drink of how he wanted it to be literally giving me no choice. It's a waste! The color was off, nowhere near the image of Ube & Taro. Go to other locations where they'll treat you like a customer instead of just an order placed. The establishment was dark on the inside. It looked nothing like when I went in 2019. He was more interested in helping the older man in front of me instead. I smiled and said hello, he stared for a bit then said hey. I completely understand we have our bad days and good days, but taking it out on a paying customer is unacceptable. What gives? Go find a new job young lad. Yuck, water & milk mixed together! Not sure what happened to this location.

Located in the plaza north of the main street; business has picked up and now this area (near the H Mart) is also fairly busy. Parking is quite a hassle on weekends in this plaza. Happy Lemon is a chain boba spot; their pricing and drinks are comparable; the ube drink once adjusted for sweetness comes with boba and comes out to around $7 after tax. Pretty tasty. There's no interior space or exterior space at Happy Lemon so that's a downside compared to some of their nearby peers.

We always end up here after eating at San Dong. It's just a great spot to get something cold and sweet after eating hot and savory. We got the Viet Coffee with puff cream, matcha latte and strawberry shortcake. The viet coffee didn't taste like the regular Viet coffee. If wasn't as condensed milky probably because of the puff cream part. But it wasn't too bad. The strawberry shortcake smoothie was good tho. It's like a strawberry smoothie but less sweet and more creamy.

Mango yakult smoothie

I like their mango passion fruit green tea. It comes with passion fruit seeds but I usually ask to sub with crystal boba which they will usually do. The mango yakult smoothie is great too. They don't have seating though and the store is quite small so it's only drinks to go and not a hang out spot. The drinks come out fast even if there is a line.

(not so-late) late night Chinatown run with friends happy lemon always hits the spot after a dense, savory, salty meal like hot pot or kbbq in the chinatown plaza next door got a classic fresh squeezed lemon tea which hit the spot. 4.3/5

Really loved the service the guy in the front answered all my stupid question and had a great personality . Drinks came out fast ! My husband drink had way too much ice so he wasn't pleased but mine was good. I had one of the drinks from the popular menu the taro one . It was good but I thought it would be a tad sweeter.

Chocolate waffle with chocolate boba inside.

I loved this place it was my first time going there I enjoyed my mango matcha smoothie and my daughter had boba milk tea and we also tried chocolate waffle with boba so good. I do recommend the service was also pretty good and fast.

Another Happy Lemon in the Houston area? Yes please! Grand opening weekend for this location offerred BOGO drinks (up to four per person). I am never one to pass up BOGO boba, well realy BOGO anything, so I definitely made a point to stop by. Plus, having tried two other Happy Lemon locations before, I knew their drinks would be good. Stopped by around 2:30 and there was a short line. The interior isn't too big but there is room for a few seats as well as tables outside. The staff was friendly and greeted me warmly. I ordered my go to which is the Okinawa roasted milk tea with boba. Splurged and added egg pudding too! I went with 0% sugar since the drink itself already comes with brown sugar streaks and their boba is soaked in syrup. The tea had an excellent roasted flavor and was very creamy. The boba consistency was perfect for me. It is soft but chewey without being mushy. Finally, the egg pudding was awesome! So silky smooth and just the slightest bit sweet. I will be back for more very soon.

Probably the best bubble waffle Whatever you do don't put it in a plastic bag to avoid it being soggy and eat ASAP

I was skeptical to hear salted cheese in my drink and had it before elsewhere and it wasn't tasteful. I'm now a fan of jasmine green tea with salted cheese. My kids have tried many places with bubble egg waffle and this is by far the best. It's crispy, light, and airy. It's been consistent in texture expat for today. They had asked if I wanted a bag for my original puff dip and waffle Togo. It basically made the waffle soft from the the waffle was still hot steam in the bag, My friend said her lemon slushy was refreshing for Texas heat.

I can't write much cause I'm feeling CRAPPY LEMON If I was an infant, I'd wear a NAPPY LEMON If I wrote for Hallmark, I'd write all SAPPY LEMON But when we want Boba, we go to HAPPY LEMON These lemons are so happy Pharell should do this RAPPY LEMON Tried to bring my feelines here, but they were CATTY LEMON Hamilton likes it, says it's I'm young, hungry and SCRAPPY LEMON And the only Lemon that we want is HAPPY LEMON If Selena Gomez came here, she would TAKI TAKI LEMON Now I'm gonna finish this review and make it SNAPPY LEMON Barbi's getting naked and she's moaning "AYY PAPI" LEMON Posing on the couch and being a THIRST TRAPPY LEMON Now she just came over, gave my butt a SLAPPY LEMON I think that she wants me to give her a TAPPY LEMON I do that so much she's getting kinda FLAPPY LEMON But now I'm gonna make her happier than a HAPPY LEMON WHAT! One of the friendliest and best quality Boba shops in the world. From their magnificent drinks to their wonderful ownership, from the lovely employees to the regional manager based in Cali who puts the midas touch (or the Lemon-Yellow touch) on all of the Lemons under his guidance, this is top notch all the way, and there's a reason that their are lines out the door on any given day of the week. Well, the reason is that the shop is so small and is take-out only, but there's another reason too! And that is, it's just so good! I got in a fight here (Scrappy Lemon), got my hair done in corn rows here (Nappy Lemon) and also tried their Peppermint Bubble Tea (Crappy Lemon). But more than anything else, when the girl some of you know and love insists on me taking her here and getting her fave Lemon Black Tea, then for me and any boys (and probably girls) in the place, it becomes Fappy Lemon. We come here on a near-daily basis because Barbi is madly in love with their Blended Lemon Black Tea and their Squeezed Lemon Black Tea. I adore both equally, but she's really into the squeezed and I can see why. Their strawberry black tea is excellent too, as is their wonderful Lemon slush. And the milk tea and Okinawa milk tea are both wonderful. Happy Lemon also has top notch delicious Bubble Waffles too. Be careful what you order. Some of these drinks are so sour, that when she drank them, Ronda Rousey changed her name to Ronda Sourey. Of all the locations we've been to, this is right up there as the friendliest and happiest and most consitent. I'm thrilled to be able to call the people running it and owning it my friends. If it were in the largest city of Minnesota, it'd be Minneappy Lemon. And it'd sell sodas too. Not just small and large, but Mini Sodas. If it were in the capital of Maryland, it'd be Annappy Lemon. Of all the chains in the world, Happy Lemon is one of the very best, and is probably my fave boba chain that originates from China. They have extremely authentic taste worldwide, reminding me of the way it's done in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and I've tried these all over the UK is well, and they were just as good there as the American versions. Of every location of Happy Lemon, this is one I'd come back to on a regular basis, for life, and I wish them every single success. It's always nice running into them after their long work day is over, sometimes over at Sinh Sinh or other late night food spots. A truly wonderful bunch of people making truly magical drinks. If you haven't tried Happy Lemon yet, get over here and try it immediately. It might change your life. And If Jay Z brought his own Houston girl (Beyonce) (who does not dress as hot as my Houston girl) here it'd be Rappy Lemon. And I guess if we really wanna go one step further than what we already wear to Boba places, then I should bring my date here with both of us wearing nothing but Cling-Film. I guess then it'd be renamed "Saran Wrappy Lemon."

Fresh taro milkshake w/ taro balls
Alex P.

All I can say is ... IMPRESSIVE! The blend between real taro and milk is just sublime. I don't know what magical proportions they use but I can't replicate this. Taro is blended in so finely without being gritty. The taro balls are like a blend of something between boba and taro or some sort of jelly. And best of all the portion was decent! Would I come back to try the other menu items? You bet! Sweetness 50% and less ice. Full flavor Portion size

Everything was good except they didn't have a lemon themed restroom. I wanted to take a dump in a lemon shaped toilet. Very, very disheartening. The drinks were good though.

Cafe 101 serve Japanese and Chinese food. There are table and booths inside as well as a full bar. We started with a couple of sushi specials... bluefin toro and Uni. Thought the bluefin toro were fresh as well as the Uni. Wasn't expecting so was pleasantly surprised. For our mains, we ordered the twice cooked pork and beef galbi. Both came as a set... with rice, side dish of pickled radish and carrots and dessert. Price-wise, it was reasonable considering it came as a set. Twice cooked pork hits the spot. It was plenty and had some to go. Galbi was decent... it's not like Korean Galbi. It was pretty saucy, sweet and tender. It was decent portion as well. Think we found our new late night spot! Look forward to trying out the rest of their menu in the future. :-)

The lounge like ambiance, along with their diner-like menu, is a major selling point for folks and has been one of the reasons for their popularity over the better part of the last two decades. It is a bit trendy and plays music that you would think of and in a Miami lounge or a pretentious New York Club. While service is not their strong suit, the clean bathrooms, spacious seating, and semi-open kitchen makes up for some 'tudes from the staff. The menu is most definitely Asian, but blends from a predominantly Chinese menu and featuring various Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese items. The latter includes sushi, which is likely one of the only spots in the neighborhood that still has it after midnight. They have bluefin tuna and sea urchin, in which Cafe 101 is one of the only late night spots to offer it. Their beef chow fun is nice and greasy, but filled with excessive onions, bean sprouts, and various other veggies that almost take away from the noodles and beef (which was nicely cooked). Their shrimp and egg came in a nice set, which was a good surprise and surprisingly well executed. This is also a spot for Japanese curry, and even though it's not the best, it most certainly does the job. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is on point, cumin lamb is unsurprisingly spicy, and Singapore chow mai fun has a tinge of solid wok hei. (#1) I'm genuinely not a fan of their soups and think the sushi rolls are not their best work. While they also have milk, tea options, unless one is desperate, I would also steer clear of. Parking in the early evening can be an issue at Don Huang Plaza, but after 11pm, the parking options should be abundant. I would consider coming here in a larger group, especially with late night owls. ___________ (#1) Wok's essence (鑊氣)

While the osmanthus with cream remains my personal favorite, this visit I ordered the high mountain pouchong with orange and was not disappointed. It's refreshing in the Texas heat, a little tangy from the citrus and perfectly sweet (the lemon variety of it is also exceptional). Luckily there wasn't a line. I picked up a green tea passion fruit tea and was surprised how tasty it was! The drink was a pretty yellow hue with passion fruit seeds at the top. The green tea flavor wasn't overly strong or dry wnd was very fragrant-- super tasty~ It came in a recyclable little sling carrier too, super cute :) I love how the brand focuses on real fruit, milk/cream so there aren't any artificial ingredients lurking around. You can order at the kiosk or at the cashier. For sweetness customization, they only have full level, less sweet, and no sugar options. The less sweet is already plenty sweet for me, so wish there was a slightly less sweet option than that. The service was polite and friendly, and the inside was clean with several tables. Besides the great taste, I really appreciate the "no artificial stuff" way of doing things. After one drink I'm Chicha San Chen fan! Be sure to stop by sometime and try their tea :D
