I had been told of Sit Means Sit from a co-worker years before contacting them. What brought me to them was that I was adding a puppy to my pack and wanted my 8 yr old and 2 yr old bulldogs to properly accept the American bully puppy and work on some of their bad habits to have more rounded family dogs. I started my 2 yr old Bulldog with their 15-day boarding package with Robin. Robin was wonderful with his training and communication of his progress in messages, calls, pictures, and videos. He was a completely different dog when he came back. My puppy started with their 6-week puppy class with trainer Kabri. This class was wonderful as a good foundation to start her off on a good obedient foot. I was suppose to do private lesson with my older Bulldog but her health declined too rapidly that between discussions of my concerns for her health with Robin, we decided to transfer those lesson to the puppy. That was one of the best choices I have made! We have continued our training and was able to get our puppy to become a certified Therapy dog a month after she turned 1! The strides my dogs have made and heads they turn with their obedience is beyond my belief! Since my initial training I have added a 2 yr old American Bully who after a few short months of training was also able to success become a therapy dog. I will be getting a Rottweiler puppy in the near future who will become another Sit Means Sit alumni. Sit Means Sit has been a life changer for not just my dogs but myself as well! Their training has given me the confidence and ability to push myself more to challenge my dogs with other activities such as conformation and agility and obedience competitions.

After nearly 4 weeks of board and train, Cammie is learning to peacefully (and obediently) coexist with the littles. I am so proud of my pup and in awe of Marissa and Nina for the profound difference in Cammie's confidence and ability to follow direction. She is so happy with her new found calm state that all I can say is that I wish I had dropped her off sooner!! They come to you to pick up your pup and provide progress reports along the way. We adopted a Belgian Malinois from a local rescue and started working with another trainer as soon as we brought him home. I can't tell you how many times I tried to walk this beast and would come home crying because "I will never be able to just go on a leisurely walk with him!!" We then met a man with a malinois also who raved about Nina, so we decided to give her a call. Ladies and Gentlemen, not only does our dog now have amazing recall, he walks beautifully on a leash but is actually able to be an off-leash dog most of the time! Having a working breed dog is not something that most trainers are used to working with (and no, a lab isn't the same as a malinois). Nina knew exactly what to do with our pup and gave us all the tools we needed to make him a happy, well trained dog.

From our very first consultation, I knew Sierra was going to be the trainer we hired. Before the consultation was even finished, she had already impressed us with how prepared and thorough she was. She came prepared with a detailed intake form to learn about Josie's history, diet, exercise, play, current behaviors, and, most importantly, our goals for her training. Sierra took the time to explain her mission, training philosophy, plan, and expectations--not only for Josie but also for us as owners. She understood that we were in urgent need of help with our wild puppy and was incredibly accommodating, fitting Josie into her schedule within a week. The drop-off was another detailed meeting where we reviewed general lesson plans and goals for Josie. Sierra was so calm, patient, and reassuring that she made leaving Josie much easier than we expected, for Josie and ourselves. Throughout the entire 30-day board-and-train, we received regular updates, pictures, and videos. Sierra was always willing to answer our questions and kept us involved in Josie's progress every step of the way. At pickup, Sierra provided us with an incredibly thorough training packet. It included commands, board-and-train maintenance instructions, schedules, structure, and examples of activities to continue at home. We also received professional training videos, along with videos specifically showing Josie's training. We had a hands-on dog-walking and basic-commands lesson, two follow-up visits included, and--one of my favorite parts--lifetime support as long as we continue following the training program. Josie has now been home for 10 days, and she is doing incredibly well--so much better than when she left! We continue to communicate regularly with Sierra, sending pictures and videos of Josie practicing her training. Sierra takes the time to review everything and responds promptly with encouragement, praise, and helpful suggestions or tips whenever we need them. What really sets Sierra apart is that she is knowledgeable not only about dog training but also about the overall health and well-being of dogs. She was able to point us in the right direction regarding food and supplements for Josie, which has been incredibly helpful. Most importantly, Sierra is the first person I have ever felt 100% comfortable leaving my dog with. We have had previous dogs stay with family, friends, veterinarians, and boarding facilities. Our experience: We adopted Sunny from the West Valley Humane Society back in January. For months we tried various different training programs. We tried online training and in person private classes and nothing really seemed to work for him. He had a ton of anxiety, was not confident, was reactive and aggressive towards all dogs but specifically small ones, did not know boundaries, etc. We really had our hands full with our Sunny boy but he needed someone that was going to be patient with him and boy was Sierra just that! We purchased Sierra's board and train class (2 weeks) and Sierra kept our boy an ADDITIONAL 2 weeks because he was having a hard time focusing and getting comfortable. Not only that, her training was a third of the price that we were going to pay for a board and train at another local place. She really did what was the best for him. Like I said before, Sunny was a lot of work and Sierra went above and beyond in every way to help our boy. She first came over for a consult to see what we were wanting to get out of her services and how we were already doing things and offered assistance with that. We've had a great experience working with Mr. Sam! Our dog has always been full of energy and…read morereactive--especially when someone comes to the door. He would bark, lunge, or jump if people knocked or even walked by, and I had kept him in one-on-one play at daycare because I wasn't fully confident in his interactions with other dogs. But after just the first session with Mr. Sam, we saw a noticeable difference. He not only helped our dog become calmer and more manageable at the door, but also gave us the tools and knowledge we needed to work through the behavior. By the second session, Mr. Sam had our dog calmly off-leash and playing with other dogs--including a puppy!--in a way I never imagined possible. He really understands dog behavior and is incredibly skilled at guiding both dogs and their humans through the process. Much of the progress is also specifically about me learning to manage my own nervousness due to his previous behavior and history - and trust the process, and Mr. Sam is great at walking you through that. If you're willing to follow his guidance and put in the effort, you'll absolutely notice a big improvement.
