I was then told I would need to pay an additional $1,000 for them to continue working with her, or pick her up. This felt like a bait-and-switch. Adjustment periods and stress behaviors are normal when a dog enters a new environment, and I expected decompression time to be part of the program rather than an added charge. When I picked her up, I was also told I had misrepresented her temperament, which was upsetting and did not reflect my experience with her. Because of the quick reassessment, added cost, and communication style, I chose to remove my dog. I encourage others to ask detailed questions about acclimation procedures, behavior assessment timelines, and potential additional fees before enrolling.

When we added another dog to our pack, we needed help because he came to us with massive separation anxiety (if you've ever been through this you know how awful this is). We immediately got in touch with Adrienne. She does home visits, group classes, and boarding. Adrienne came right over to asses and help us. She only uses positive reinforcement rather than punitive training techniques and let me tell you, what she taught us did the trick. After boarding her this time (we've been customers there for years), we were told she displayed behaviors such as growling and was no longer welcome to return. What I find most concerning is that this facility also promotes dog training services, yet there was no effort to discuss what may have triggered her behavior, offer recommendations, suggest training options, or work with us on a plan for future success. Instead, we were simply told not to bring her back. I fully understand that any boarding facility has the right to make decisions based on safety concerns. However, anxious and fearful behaviors are not uncommon in boarding environments, and I expected a business that offers training services to have a more knowledgeable and supportive approach. As pet owners, we trust boarding facilities to care for our dogs during what can already be a stressful experience. Rather than feeling supported, we left feeling judged and dismissed. If your dog struggles with anxiety or fear in unfamiliar situations, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those behaviors are assessed and managed before booking. We'll gladly be taking our business elsewhere and won't be back with our current dog or any future dogs.

We have had 2 trainers, a week of off site training, a behaviorist and he is on meds forever. He started showing signs of hip dsyplasia at 1 year but can't be xrayed until he's 2. My vet was very unhappy about the poor breeding. She did offer to pay for half on one training that uses shock collars when he was under 6 months old. My research says it just makes them worse. This is the first time I have put out anything bad but the hips were the last straw.

Our dogs are rescues from Austin Boxer Rescue and we have had a total of 3 adoptions and we have also fostered 3 boxers from them. We want the best for them and it is SO nice to see them get excited when they see Michelle. They have known our dogs for years AND are excited to see them too! Prior to this most recent visit to Bliss for boarding, Jaxi had a hurt paw and needed antibiotics while she stayed. Michelle didn't even bat an eye when I mentioned she would have to give her medicine. D.Bo often likes to find a corner to relax during the day and they always make sure he has a soft little bed to lay on instead of the cold floor. Long story short, they go above and beyond to take care of my two babies! D.Bo and Jaxi always come home looking happy and well-cared for. We're always sent pictures of them from their visit - it makes me feel so good to know that when we can't be with them, they are getting the love and attention they deserve.
