I've had very bad experiences in the past where other clinics just wanted tons of money without proper care. They love my two kittens with their whole heart and spend plenty of time with them to make sure they find the correct treatment. They always find a way to fit you in if you have an emergency as well! My male kitten had a fall from a tree and had hyphema on his iris, they got me in the same day and spent a significant amount of time making sure he was okay, also gave him lots of love and treats! He is always very excited to see them which speaks volumes coming from a cat! They are the best in Waco, 10/10!

The last time being before our dog turned 2 and they said we don't need to bring him anymore for his weight because he will be done growing. well I've tried to pick up medicine on three occasions and I've been told I have to order it online now. which makes no sense if they just have given it to me in the past. I have been taking my cat Mysti to Barkley Animal Clinic since I moved to Waco about 1 year ago …read more I've been very satisfied how I'm treated and especially how my furbaby has been treated. The last time I took her she was getting her hair shaved because of her matted and tangled hair. She's a Himalayan mix with Persian so naturally these type of cats are beautiful but require alot of brushing and sometimes I've had to take her to get shaved and sometimes if I'm lucky just shave her mats. This time she definitely needed a complete shave. Dr Pippin explained her sedation to me because I was a little nervous because of her age . She will be 16 in a couple of weeks. Dr Pippin has always explains what he's doing and if I have any questions. I left and I decided to take a little nap before picking her up. I woke up late and realized the clinic had called twice and I looked at my phone it was 5:45;pm.I called and apologized. They told me it's OK because things happen. Wow how nice is that. I rushed to get Mysti and thanked them for being so nice. It's also affordable too.

Dr. Surbur is very thorough and actually caught a rare clotting disorder that one of my dogs had simply because she was paying careful attention and noticed that my dog had a little bleeding around her gums. One time I had an after hours emergency and she met me at her office at night and took x-rays of my dog and helped me to make the decision to take him to Texas A & M for further care. While we were in College Station she called me a couple of times and checked on my dog and when he eventually died (not her fault, he had a congenital defect) she sent me a lovely gift to remember him by. Her office staff is excellent and it is easy to get convenient appointment times.
