Next visit was for our big boy, copperhead bite, they treated him quickly and sent us on our way, and 2.5 weeks later we came back, our boy had collapsed after tracking scents in the yard, immediately they caught that it was another snakebite, and determined to be rattlesnake. It was serious, he stayed 24 hrs and was released. We've got a long road of wound care and such, but they saved him. I've had nothing but great care and they saved both our pups lives. The vets have taken their time listening and explaining, very patient and caring. Top notch!!

They've failed on multiple occasions. My dog had a lump appear within 2 days, I stopped in on a whim, the Vet had no appointments and was wandering around hap hazardly, so I asked if she could feel the lump and tell me her opinion. No, I have to set up an appointment, and pay 45 bucks. Which I did. She felt the lump, did nothing else. and said give her some steroids. (which are known to be very hard on animals....) Oh, ok. I guess heres 45 bucks that it took me 6 hours to earn at my cheap ass job. Thanks so much for that. Our last instance we brought dog in, just for a check. The entire appointment ran us 200.00 + dollars. 3 different types of medications (only one of which we used.) and a blood panel. They gave me pain meds for my dog! com'mon! (and a mouth wash @13.00$$) I refuse to attend this clinic again, they will only (even with some resistance) try to charge you as much as they can get from you. Yes, they are capable - but so are many many other vets that will take YOU and not just themselves and their winter vacation costs into consideration. I'm VERY disappointed in you Emersons Veterinary Hospital.

I loved to see that there is a separate entrance for dogs and for cats. The staff behind the counter was very friendly and I already had my paperwork done since the new patient forms are on their website. They did not mind that my dog wants to put her front paws on the counter to say hello. Everyone involved was very sweet to my scared pup. They petted her and spoke softly while they held her for her shots. The doctor saw us on time and we were in and out in a flash. Dr. Emerson answered all of my questions and even anticipated some before I thought them up. The only "negative" I have is that they didn't tell me to wait to get her heartworm results before giving her preventative meds. (Partially my fault) Also, their website is difficult to navigate so it can be hard to find the information you need. Things to know: They do check ups, spaying/neutering, washing, etc. They see almost every pet you can imagine! Dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, pigs, birds, etc. They are fair priced. Not so cheap that you wonder if they even have a license but not so expensive that you know that they are only in it for the money. They take cash, check, and all major credit cards. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day (annual check-up).

If you're looking for a veterinarian who is experienced, calm, knowledgeable, and honest--without…read morewasting your time or money--Dr. Keil at Eastside Animal Hospital is the one. I've taken my dogs and cat to Dr. Keil for many years. His office on New Dallas Hwy isn't one of those flashy, new buildings full of sales talk--it's a place focused on true veterinary care. You won't find gimmicks here; what you will find is the best veterinary care I've ever received, from a doctor and staff who genuinely care about animals. Dr. Keil is a quiet, thoughtful man with a calm presence and a slight smile, but behind that is decades of experience and deep knowledge. I believe he finished veterinary school in the 1970s, and it shows in how confidently and carefully he treats animals. Just today, I called with a very sick dog, and they got me in immediately. The staff was ready for us as soon as we arrived. While Dr. Keil reviewed the notes from an overpriced emergency clinic, his team got to work right away. After a thorough exam, he prescribed the right medication and gave clear instructions. You can tell that his focus is 100% on the animals--not on upselling or guessing at costs. If you want someone who's straightforward, honest, and truly skilled, this is your place. I don't usually write reviews, but I'm writing this because I sincerely trust Dr. Keil. He's an exceptional veterinarian who provides fair, compassionate, and expert care--without the BS.

All that to say their urgency to treat my dog although it was non venomous just makes the experience so much better! I'm glad I finally found somewhere where my dogs are so loved and well taken care of!!!! 100% recommend!

Heartbreaking Experience with Dr. Jeremy Echols…read more I brought my dog to Dr. Jeremy Echols at Ranch House Pet/Vaquero Equine Hospital in Woodway, TX during a medical emergency, hoping for compassion and help. Instead, I was met with a focus on costs rather than any real effort to save my dog's life. We were sent away with a bag full of medications, but no clear plan or urgency. My Zeus died the very next day. There was very little empathy shown, and I left feeling devastated and unsupported. I understand that veterinary care involves expenses, but I believe that a vet's priority should be the well-being of the animal and the emotional support of the owner--especially in critical moments. This experience was deeply painful, and I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone seeking genuine care and compassion for their pets.
