I was so blessed when my pet was returned to us after his cremation. Having to euthanize, a pet is painful, I hadn't even thought about what I was going to do after he passed but fortunately my vet recommended cross river, and they took care of everything. When I received Oliver's ashes and all of the extra little additions, it just brought me so much comfort (his footprint and a little bottle of his fur). I had a tiny little bantam rooster that was the best pet you could have asked for. When he died, we wanted to memorialize him, so we sought out cremation services. I called Sheila over at Cross River Pet Cremation services, and I dropped off my pet with her at her job (in Waco). A week later, I came to pick him up, and he was in a beautiful pine box with an engraved plaque on top. She did something amazingly touching for us, which made us cry. She included a heart-shaped stone with my bird's footprint, and surrounded it with a feather from his tail. It was all beautifully put together. Thank you so much. I lost my cat, Mr. Miagi after 16 short years together. I called Sheila and she was able to meet me on a Saturday for no extra charge and then we met again the following Friday for me to pick up his remains. We had our Wally for 12 years. He was the most awesome 4 legged companion you could ask for. We had to put him to sleep unexpectedly and we decided to use our vets cremation service. I had no clue who they used but when I went to pick him up, I was more than pleased with the tough decision we had had to make. He was in a beautiful wood box with his name engraved on a gold plaque on top. I seen something else and when I pulled it out of the bag, the tears started flowing again, as they did the day we had to make the hard decision to put him to sleep.
