Immediately, someone recommended that…read moreI contact Quail Creek for training, due to their success AND ability to connect with kids, motivating them to work with their dogs, bringing out the best in everyone. At 5 months old, our puppy spent 2 weeks with their welcoming, positive team for the boot camp program. We delivered an active and spastic puppy who jumped on everyone and everything, had no self-control, either wouldn't go on a walk or would go nuts every time he saw another animal, among other puppy challenges. We picked up a calm puppy who knew his commands, focused on the task given, responded to positive messages and focused on his owner while on walks, not other distractions. This has truly made the transition from new puppy to a beloved member of our family occur! The most important part of this program is not the focused training with proven consistent systems, but the way they took time to patiently and thoroughly teach my son how to continue training his puppy, using the same systems he'd learned through boot camp. It has given my son such a great guide to provide quality, purposeful time for the two of them together as well as insure that the puppy doesn't go back to him bad habits. As assumed, it's greatly enriched their relationship, reminding me the full value of getting a puppy. Sue, Gina, Nadine and everyone at Quail Creek K-9: Thank you for the gift you have given us. Through you, we have gained new friends and an ongoing support system for our entire journey with our new four-legged family member.

I have to admit I am partial to here now. We visited Petsmart on our date night after we went to…read morethe frozen custard stand and we went in to look at prices on items as we had already been planning to adopt a cat or kitten for quite some time. We found our baby there and didn't plan on that. We weren't aware that they did adoption there for cats. The price is 75 dollars but they were nice and gave us a pretty big booklet w adoption info for our cat but also a ton of coupons for free cat food and discounts on beds etc. They have a great selection of items for many animals like fish hamsters and birds etc as well as dogs and cats. They have reasonable prices here as well. BTW even if you adopt elsewhere you can get the adoption coupon booklet provided you show them the adoption papers. All in all an awesome experience.

The groomer also lied and said she growled.... I was standing right there the cat did not growl. Worse is the grooming area was filthy and she literally placed my cat on a table full of left over dog clippings nails and hair! They want our rabies verification ...I'd like to see the health dept record! So long story short absolutely don't recommend for cats but honestly there's no way I would take dogs here either! They seem very inexperienced and again cleanliness is an issue!

I had been told of Sit Means Sit from a co-worker years before contacting them. What brought me to them was that I was adding a puppy to my pack and wanted my 8 yr old and 2 yr old bulldogs to properly accept the American bully puppy and work on some of their bad habits to have more rounded family dogs. I started my 2 yr old Bulldog with their 15-day boarding package with Robin. Robin was wonderful with his training and communication of his progress in messages, calls, pictures, and videos. He was a completely different dog when he came back. My puppy started with their 6-week puppy class with trainer Kabri. This class was wonderful as a good foundation to start her off on a good obedient foot. I was suppose to do private lesson with my older Bulldog but her health declined too rapidly that between discussions of my concerns for her health with Robin, we decided to transfer those lesson to the puppy. That was one of the best choices I have made! We have continued our training and was able to get our puppy to become a certified Therapy dog a month after she turned 1! The strides my dogs have made and heads they turn with their obedience is beyond my belief! Since my initial training I have added a 2 yr old American Bully who after a few short months of training was also able to success become a therapy dog. I will be getting a Rottweiler puppy in the near future who will become another Sit Means Sit alumni. Sit Means Sit has been a life changer for not just my dogs but myself as well! Their training has given me the confidence and ability to push myself more to challenge my dogs with other activities such as conformation and agility and obedience competitions.

My dog Panda had extreme reactivity to anything that moved. We started seeing signs of a problem…read morewhen he was about 4 months old. At 5 months, he ran to and bit our sweet and understanding neighbor with no provocation. We realized that we had a serious problem developing. Over the course of the next 7 months, we went through several pure positive trainers and training methods. This works for many dogs, but for Panda's extreme anxiety, it did not. He continued to escalate and when he turned 1, I broke down in tears as I was losing this boy by degrees. We went through several trainers, hundreds of training hours (with trainers and personally), and thousands of dollars trying to help him. It was so bad, I even considered having his teeth removed (I know, crazy). Almost every trainer at that point had said we either needed to put him down or that "he is just a dog that needs to be locked up when people are around and kept at home away from the public." Thats like going to an Oncologist and having them say "Well you have cancer, so go home as there is nothing we can do". DeepWater has changed our lives. Panda leads a full life. We can run off leash, we can enter crowded areas, we can pass playgrounds and dog parks without issue. We love the weekly group outings. It gives Panda a chance to challenge his skills and gives me the security of having experts on hand for advice. Plus its just nice to get together with like minded people :) I advocate for these trainers fiercely because they saved our beloved dog and gave us the training and tools to share a wonderful full life with Panda. Without them, we were in unbelievable despair. Many dogs like Panda are put down or relinquished to shelters with no positive future in sight. It simply does not have to be. If you have a troubled dog, you need to contact these trainers immediately. It will be the best decision imaginable.

She also came to us thinking other dogs were food not friends (she needs to hear the sharks in finding Nemo again apparently.) After nearly 4 weeks of board and train, Cammie is learning to peacefully (and obediently) coexist with the littles. I am so proud of my pup and in awe of Marissa and Nina for the profound difference in Cammie's confidence and ability to follow direction. She is so happy with her new found calm state that all I can say is that I wish I had dropped her off sooner!! They come to you to pick up your pup and provide progress reports along the way. They are truly dog whisperers so if you have any training needs, they are the ones to call!

He would bark, lunge, or jump if people knocked or even walked by, and I had kept him in one-on-one play at daycare because I wasn't fully confident in his interactions with other dogs. But after just the first session with Mr. Sam, we saw a noticeable difference. He not only helped our dog become calmer and more manageable at the door, but also gave us the tools and knowledge we needed to work through the behavior. By the second session, Mr. Sam had our dog calmly off-leash and playing with other dogs--including a puppy!--in a way I never imagined possible. He really understands dog behavior and is incredibly skilled at guiding both dogs and their humans through the process. Much of the progress is also specifically about me learning to manage my own nervousness due to his previous behavior and history - and trust the process, and Mr. Sam is great at walking you through that. If you're willing to follow his guidance and put in the effort, you'll absolutely notice a big improvement. I now feel more hopeful and empowered, and I'm already seeing a change in our dog's behavior both at the door and even in the car (another place he tends to go crazy). Looking forward to the continued progress--we're so thankful for his help!
