They took very good care of my dog and she seemed very happy when I came to pick her up. I like the facility because the dogs have some freedom to go in and out as they please, but they're still secure because they are in their separate enclosures. read more

We recently welcomed a Golden Retriever puppy into our home. Immediately, someone recommended that I contact Quail Creek for training, due to their success AND ability to connect with kids, motivating them to work with their dogs, bringing out the best in everyone. At 5 months old, our puppy spent 2 weeks with their welcoming, positive team for the boot camp program. We delivered an active and spastic puppy who jumped on everyone and everything, had no self-control, either wouldn't go on a walk or would go nuts every time he saw another animal, among other puppy challenges. We picked up a calm puppy who knew his commands, focused on the task given, responded to positive messages and focused on his owner while on walks, not other distractions. This has truly made the transition from new puppy to a beloved member of our family occur! The most important part of this program is not the focused training with proven consistent systems, but the way they took time to patiently and thoroughly teach my son how to continue training his puppy, using the same systems he'd learned through boot camp. It has given my son such a great guide to provide quality, purposeful time for the two of them together as well as insure that the puppy doesn't go back to him bad habits. When we dropped off our boerboel Mastiff for the weekend the staff was not very welcoming. We gave them tips on how to approach him if worried. We had to leave him there because we were taking a trip the same day for work otherwise we wouldn't have left him there. My husband had the feeling upon arrival but we couldn't do anything about it. When we picked him up, the owner or short haired blonde older woman at the front gave me the report on my dog and basically said that our dog charged at a couple employees and was only calm when it wasn't busy. My husband and I have had a few mastiffs and we are very familiar with the breed. We have him for a very SPECIFIC reason. If the owners/employees knew how to handle a more dominant breed than this most likely wouldnt have happened OR I would have rather been politely turned away as I am a trainer in the area and I don't always match potential clients. He has not done this with others or at another boarding place in town called Fido and friends which was a longer stay. The only reason I gave two stars is because the son or younger man working there was much more hospitable And obviously trying to pacify the tension between us and the lady behind the desk. I recommend Fido friends over this establishment. The owner and staff is much more friendly and knowledgeable in handling dogs. read more

Although the people seem very nice. They seem to have no concept of what a pet actually means to the owner. I took my Golden Retriever there to get groomed and she ended up with blisters all over her body. They really had no concerns about it. So I called my sister who breeds Retrievers and she said that they are idiots that really know very little about dogs. I was told that if they really had a concern they would have given my money back, or offered to pay the vet bill. I advise anyone that is thinking about boarding or grooming to think twice. I love my dogs and cat and they will never see Quail Creek again. As for the people that gave them a high rating......I say think again. Your experience might have been good the first time, but what about the next. Or is it just the owners giving the rating? They had no advise to give me other than take your dog to the vet and please keep us advised. My sister told me to get tubes of Neosporin and apply it to the blisters. I did that and am very happy that my Bailey (Baby Dog) is doing much better. Please take my advise and do not trust these people. read more

I've been using this kennel for 2 years now when I need to board my dogs for a few days. They have always provided great service and take good care of the animals. It's the second kennel I've used in the Waco area, the first one didn't inspire lots of confidence in me when I picked up my dog and found she had been bitten by another dog. That will be a story for another review. In short, I highly recommend this place if you need to leave your dog somewhere safe when you are out of town. read more

Our dog stayed here for two weeks at Christmas and for four days over Easter. Both times he came home healthy, happy, and acted like we never left. -- For him, a great indicator that he felt very comfortable there and did not miss being at home. I think it helped that Quail Creek made it a point to have the same worker work with him the majority of the time. Additionally, the second time he stayed we also had him groomed. In 8 years of using Petsmart for grooming services (and occasionally our vet's office), we were completely amazed with how clean he was after a bath at Quail Creek. He (a bloodhound) typically smells bad after the second or third day after a bath. However, after quail creek's bath, he literally smelled as if he had just been groomed for 10 days! My husband and I could not stop commenting at how he was like a different dog. Not sure how they got him so clean, but we will not take him anywhere else from now on. Thanks Quail Creek! read more

We have boarded our Yorkie there for the past six years and she is always excited to see the friendly faces at the desk. They always take wonderful care of Hayley. Even when we HAD to board her as a small puppy they went out of their way to take care of her. I cannot say how happy I am to have a place like Quail Creek to board our dog. read more

We recently got our 2 miniature schnauzers groomed here and it was a disaster. They completely shaved them despite our request for the traditional schnauzer cut with the skirt. They used the excuse that our dogs had tangled fur, but we looked them over before and they went and they were not tangled. Then, to our horror, I got home and realized one of my dogs had nicks and was bleeding from the razor that was used by the groomer. For the high price you pay, I would expect much better quality and effort. We will never be returning and will tell all of our friends to never use Quail Creek Kennels. We just moved from California & were looking for a groomer for our 3 dogs. A friend recommend this place. Our 2 Silky Terriers & Beagle- Bassett cross have never looked or smelled so good. It's been 2 weeks & they still look great. We really appreciated being squeezed in as we were going out of town. The groomer had written notes about each of the dogs & the place was spotless. It was a way better experience than any we had in California. And if I ever have to board the dogs, it will be here mIlk highly recommend them! read more

When I must board Boomer, Quail Creek is always my first choice. He always seems happy and relaxed when he's there.
