Coryell Veterinary Clinic - My good ol' boy Bo

Coryell Veterinary Clinic

Subject: Highly Recommend Coryell Veterinary Clinic…read more I am so grateful for the care Dr. Mabry and the entire team at Coryell Veterinary Clinic provided to my senior dog, Bo. From the moment we walked in without an appointment , I felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. Mabry was incredibly patient and gentle with my senior dog. Bo hadn't been feeling well, Dr. Mabry listened to my concerns. He took the time to thoroughly examine Bo. Then he explained all of my options and answer all of my questions. Bo was in serious but stable condition. Bo needed immediate attention, the staff was incredibly compassionate and caring during a difficult time. They went above and beyond to ensure my Bo was comfortable and well taken care of. I highly recommend Coryell Veterinary Clinic to any pet owner looking for compassionate, professional, and high-quality care.

My first visit was due to having to put my dog down. That in itself is a terrible experience, but…read moreto top it off both people at the front were very rude and unfriendly (clearly talking bad about clients in earshot of clients). Then the girl, (maybe the vet tech) obviously didn't believe us when we told her our large dog couldn't walk because she kept trying to pull him up. My husband and I both told her twice that he had lost his ability to walk. We get in the room and she's just pushing him around not being gentle at all. He's already scared, we are already emotional and our experience at this place 10 min in is horrible. To top it off the room was absolutely disgusting. We did opt for the cremation service and whoever provided that did a wonderful job. However when I went to pick him up the girl at the front told me she would be with me in a few (no one was in the waiting room or at the front desk) so I patiently waited for her to finish up. All the while she carrying on a conversation with 2 other workers. It took another worker walking out from the back to ask if I had been helped for the girl at the front to help me. Bottom line this place is disgusting and the staff is rude and not caring or compassionate. If you are able to avoid giving them your business most definitely do so. I will say the vet was very nice and compassionate and that's about all the good I have to say.

Great VET clinic. We just moved here from Louisiana and we have a dog with special needs, IMHA. We have a follow up appointment scheduled for December as our dog requires regular blood checks. Their fees were reasonable, $50 office visit and $45 for the blood work. The staff was super friendly and did all the preliminary work in gathering records from LA Vet, etc.

In the years since we started using Dr. Surbur as our vet we have had five different dogs. Dr. Surbur is very thorough and actually caught a rare clotting disorder that one of my dogs had simply because she was paying careful attention and noticed that my dog had a little bleeding around her gums. One time I had an after hours emergency and she met me at her office at night and took x-rays of my dog and helped me to make the decision to take him to Texas A & M for further care. While we were in College Station she called me a couple of times and checked on my dog and when he eventually died (not her fault, he had a congenital defect) she sent me a lovely gift to remember him by. Her office staff is excellent and it is easy to get convenient appointment times.

Our kitty Farty started bleeding one day, stopped eating and moving. We took him to an emergency vet, and they basically said there was nothing they could do, and he was fine. After 3 days or trying to get to eat, drink, ect we, we feared that we would have to put him down. He was fading quickly, and we hated watching him suffer. My mom wanted to try and took him here, and thanks to the doctors collaborating and trying to figure out what was wrong, they were able to bring him back to his old self after weeks of care. He had a severe undiagnosed UTI, hyperthyroidism, and possible IBD. He was on deaths door, we were so heartbroken, and because of the caring of this vet, they were able to bring him back to his old self. I also recently brought my kitty Tiny in a panic due to her not keeping any food or liquid down, and they fit me in and were extremely understanding even though they were short staffed that day. This is the best vet I've been too and I always feel listened to, and I feel like they care about the animals so much. Every time I'm here, the phones are ringing off the hook, and I can see why. This is possibly the best vet in the area.
