This store has an abundant selection of both fresh and saltwater fish as well as all the supplies needed to maintain an aquarium. The store owners are knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. Absolutely do not go here! I have gotten 2 angelfish from this place for seven dollars apiece and they died two days after which is in accordance to their policy of two days for a refund or an exchange and they refused to honor it. They sell fish theat have been injected with ink which is classified as animal abuse. Their fish are not healthy and they do not last long. Absolutely do not go here if you want fish or any other type of pet I'd recommend Petsmart or Petco but anywhere else but here. The owners are rude and are just trying to scam you! This place is hard to see off imperial but once you go in see the verity of fresh and saltwater fish they have you are sure to walk out with something. Prices are reasonable and are pretty much on par with other local fish stores in the area. Though they do not have a large selection, they tend to have healthy fish. The dry good selection is small as well, but they'll have all your basic fish keeping needs. Also, there is a 800ish gallon saltwater tank in the rear of the store with some beautiful tangs that is worth stopping by to check it out. read more

I have been going to this store since I moved to Placentia almost two years ago. I upgraded my 20 gallon to a 32 gallon fluval tank system & one month set up & water change caused something to crash, lost 3 fish & the owner Lan took in the 4 survivors, my PH had tanked, after buying something to shock PH back, Lan said my tank needed more, so it now has a round aerator to bring more bubbles to the new system. I will forever be a grateful & permanent customer for his kindness & knowledge & for saving my four survivors now happily swimming in their tank back at home. Would avoid if at all possible. For their type of selection you are better off shopping at pet smart or petco. I have been here a handful of times over the past years since they opened. My recent visit was typical. The majority of their tanks were quite cloudy. Fish seemed in poor health (dark coloration, laying on bottom of aquarium). The selection is quite limited. And the customer service is terrible. My last visit the were relatively welcoming at first but when I went to leave and said thank you they were extremely nasty seeing I wasn't going to purchase anything. read more

I was offered a bottle of water almost right away and all of a sudden I felt compelled to buy. Not only was the place clean and items were well stocked, but the prices of the fishes were so REASONABLY PRICED and HEALTHY. Where I saw medium sized Peacock cichlids (not the mean African ones) somewhere for $14+, I found it there for $7.99. Recently started a planted tank and had only done a reef tank in the past. I hadn't been to this store before but I found it on Yelp and it was only about 20 minutes away so I thought I would check it out. They are very helpful at the store and answered a lot of the questions I had. They have a large selection of live and dry goods and they even had a stand I had been looking at getting from Amazon. They gave me a better price for the exact same stand and even took it out of the box and set it up for me and loaded it into my car!
