Been going to Lonnie and Mel for over 15 years now. Friendly people and have the most reasonable prices around. Have both fresh and saltwater, including a mega salt water tank he built himself. Lots of variety, nice clean store. Highly recommend. Ask to pay in cash and you may not be charged tax. read more

God awful store. Charged me for a bag to put my fish in was gonna charge me 5 if I didn't have a bill. Prices way too high. They desperate for a buck. Front desk lady doesn't know anything about her store, kept asking me to go get the other guy. Awful selection of fish. read more

These people are completely out of their minds, they were not looking to help me out at all. They yelled at my kid for touching the glass, thank god they did I was about to buy a complete tank set up.They started talking extremely rude about my family in Vietnamese, I speak the language! First ever 1 star review Ive ever written. read more

Love this local fish store! The owners are always friendly and help me with a smile, they even gave me a free bottled water when it was a hot day and fruit snacks for my kids. All the fish I have bought have been healthy and I haven't had any issues with them dying or being sick. I will only go to this store for all my fish needs! read more

The owner is so helpful and extremely friendly, prices of the fish are very reasonable, fish look healthy and happy indeed! You can tell the owner is very knowledgable and genuinely loves her fish. Definitely recommend this store. read more

Absolutely do not go here! I have gotten 2 angelfish from this place for seven dollars apiece and they died two days after which is in accordance to their policy of two days for a refund or an exchange and they refused to honor it. They sell fish theat have been injected with ink which is classified as animal abuse. Their fish are not healthy and they do not last long. Absolutely do not go here if you want fish or any other type of pet I'd recommend Petsmart or Petco but anywhere else but here. The owners are rude and are just trying to scam you! They are absolutely disgusting and horrible people! Never coming here again! read more

This place is hard to see off imperial but once you go in see the verity of fresh and saltwater fish they have you are sure to walk out with something. Lonnie and his wife are always so nice and offer me a bottle water every time I visit. I stopped by supplies online for my fish and started supporting my local fish store because these are getting harder to find these days. read more

Happy Fish Pets - My 30 gallon aquarium, time for more fish. - Aquarium Services Near Me - Brea, California

The owners at Happy Fish Pets are always so nice and knowledge. The store is ran by a husband and wife team that is willing to help answer any questions you may have. Prices are reasonable and are pretty much on par with other local fish stores in the area. Though they do not have a large selection, they tend to have healthy fish. The dry good selection is small as well, but they'll have all your basic fish keeping needs. Also, there is a 800ish gallon saltwater tank in the rear of the store with some beautiful tangs that is worth stopping by to check it out. read more

I am relatively new to the hobby of fish keeping and came to this store when setting up my first tank. I have been constantly coming back since then. This store has an abundant selection of both fresh and saltwater fish as well as all the supplies needed to maintain an aquarium. The store owners are knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. They have been a great help in getting me started. They even give me a cold water bottle whenever it is hot, which has been a lifesaver during the summer months! I look forward to visiting again! read more

It's called Happy Fish Pets. How could it not be awesome?! Best fish store around! Saltwater and freshwater fish. I go there for saltwater fish and everything I've gotten from there is great! Great quality. Great prices. Owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a specific fish you're looking for, talk to the owner and he will try to get it for you. I've been to all the other fish stores around, and this place is the best. Check them out! read more

Our family loves this local fish store! It's a small store but they have everything you need for both fresh and saltwater. Very friendly and helpful owners. Huge, beautiful, display tank worth seeing. This place always seems to have rare and odd ball pleco fish too. read more

I have been going to this store since I moved to Placentia almost two years ago. I upgraded my 20 gallon to a 32 gallon fluval tank system & one month set up & water change caused something to crash, lost 3 fish & the owner Lan took in the 4 survivors, my PH had tanked, after buying something to shock PH back, Lan said my tank needed more, so it now has a round aerator to bring more bubbles to the new system. I will forever be a grateful & permanent customer for his kindness & knowledge & for saving my four survivors now happily swimming in their tank back at home. You will not find a better fish store anywhere! read more

Would avoid if at all possible. For their type of selection you are better off shopping at pet smart or petco. I have been here a handful of times over the past years since they opened. My recent visit was typical. The majority of their tanks were quite cloudy. Fish seemed in poor health (dark coloration, laying on bottom of aquarium). The selection is quite limited. And the customer service is terrible. My last visit the were relatively welcoming at first but when I went to leave and said thank you they were extremely nasty seeing I wasn't going to purchase anything. read more

The owners are VERY HELPFUL and NICE, you will feel like you want to buy more even when it's not necessary. I went there on a hot day just curious what they have. I was offered a bottle of water almost right away and all of a sudden I felt compelled to buy. Not only was the place clean and items were well stocked, but the prices of the fishes were so REASONABLY PRICED and HEALTHY. Where I saw medium sized Peacock cichlids (not the mean African ones) somewhere for $14+, I found it there for $7.99. On top of that Lani ( I believe I spelled it right) gave me another $.99 discount!! Walked out with 3 fishes plus food. Happy customer here and will definitely come back here read more

Lonnie and his wife have been very helpful with my aquarium hobby. If you like a family owned business and the business owner takes his time to answer any questions you have, this is the place. Also, his prices are great and had everything I needed for my new project. read more

Happy Fish Pets is just like every other fish store. Pros: Nice setup Clean Fish look healthy Employees nice Cons: Most saltwater fish are pretty large A lot of the tanks had no prices No wow factor (would like to see a fish I have never seem before) read more

Recently started a planted tank and had only done a reef tank in the past. I hadn't been to this store before but I found it on Yelp and it was only about 20 minutes away so I thought I would check it out. They are very helpful at the store and answered a lot of the questions I had. They have a large selection of live and dry goods and they even had a stand I had been looking at getting from Amazon. They gave me a better price for the exact same stand and even took it out of the box and set it up for me and loaded it into my car! They really went above and beyond for me and seemed very knowledgeable about their fish and aquarium care! I really can't wait to go back! read more
