Been coming here for years because they are the closest to us and we want to support a mom and pop store but multiple times now, their fish have had ich. It has wiped out many of our older healthy established fish (killed a lot of money we spent on those fish). Just spent about 100.00 there. Brought the fish home and low and behold, 2 days later there is ich in our tank. Won't be going back after this. She helped me find the healthiest fish throughout the tank, gave great advice and even gave me a few duckweeds to grow on my own. At the end she also gave me a cold bottle of water since it was so hot outside and it's these little things that make me love this store so much- please support them, they deserve the attention & recognition for their hard work & care in the aquatic industry!! We came because we've been looking for a female koi betta fish & the owner showed us where they had them. We were so happy! But of course, after looking around we didn't just leave with the female betta lol We also liked the aquatic frogs and aquatic snails, the owner told us that the betta is a great fit with the snails and frogs & for the size of our tank - 1 of each is good. So we left with 1 female koi, 1 aquatic frog, 1 aquatic snail, and of course - frog food. Will keep coming to this fish store. Even though we only needed the fish, Happy Fish Pets have all the equipment you need, and even some very fun and cute decorations (my son loved the Spongebob themed decor). The staff were so helpful and answered all our questions. My son wanted guppies, and he had specific colors he wanted, so they very kindly helped through the process of picking the specific fish and colors he wanted. My son also wanted a bottom feeder, and they helped us make a good choice based on the size of our tank. The store itself is amazing -- and just looking in all the tanks is an experience. Excellent selection of saltwater and freshwater fish. Came here for some healthy looking well acclimated Discus. Owners, a husband and wife, were super friendly and patient with the tons of questions we had. Owner happily showed us around the store and then answered every question we had, making sure we were comfortable with the final decision: Discus. Owner explained his water parameters and showed the fish eating both dry and frozen feeds like crazy, making us super comfortable that his word that these were healthy specimens was accurate. Freshwater selection has all the usual fish you would see, all healthy and reasonably priced. Plant selection is great as well, everything was vibrant and lush. I am no longer in the saltwater hobby, but if I was, this would be my go to store. They have a great selection of marine fish and a huge display with some monster sized tangs and angels, all for sale! Rarely are these type of large/show size fish in a display for sale, but the owner stated it was all for sale, so if you are looking for big tangs or angels well acclimated to tank life, come here!
