I went in specifically for a big piece of a Rainbow Coral and I was expecting to drop a lot of money. I found a 5 mouth colony of their Deadhead Rainbow for a fraction of what I was expecting to pay! Uber excited for this piece to grow out and the customer service was top-notch! From the moment my daughter and I walked in to the moment we left, we were made to feel like family! Lastly, I was caught off guard when I was offered a freebie. I feel bad when I don't pay for something, but Ben insisted and for that I am very very grateful! My first recent try was to go the traditional route - heater, filter, bottles of water conditioner & beneficial bacteria, etc. etc. - when I unexpectedly happened upon an eye-opening You-Tube vid about the Walstad method (less homework & a more natural environment, the way God intended). So I returned all that other gear & am starting from scratch. Fernando eased My initial anxiety arriving as a total tank newbie, and gave Me a tour of the various low-maintenance plants I could start My nitrogen cycling with. Nolan - the Captain of this aquarium supplies ship - answered every one of My questions with patience & grace, did not talk down to Me or make Me feel stupid, and I left feeling happily hopeful that I might actually be successful in creating a fish-friendly safe & healthy environment. 7seas is a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the positive side, they have a really great selection of…read morefish and dry goods. Tanks, lights, filters, hardscape, supplies, you name it. They also clearly know what they're doing. The staff is knowledgeable and can answer questions without giving you that blank stare you sometimes get at other aquarium shops. But the pricing is honestly kind of shocking. A lot of their equipment is outrageously overpriced compared to what you can find online or even at other local stores. For example, I saw a UNS double valve connector selling for about $60 when the same thing is easily available online for around $20. They also had the Kessil 35° reflector priced at $50, and I've never seen those go for more than $30 or $35 anywhere else. I get that local fish stores have overhead and can't always compete with online pricing, and I'm totally fine paying a little more to support a brick and mortar shop. But some of these markups feel excessive. If you need something immediately and don't mind paying a premium, it's a solid store with good selection and knowledgeable staff. Just be prepared for some pretty steep prices on certain items. Overall I'd say it's worth visiting, but definitely price check before buying equipment.

However, there has been a slow decline in the cleanliness and amenities offered in the bath. There once were shelves with towels readily available for use now you have to ask staff for towels and they only give you two towels, if you have a larger dog with a thicker coat this doesn't necessarily work. They seem to never have cotton balls for the ear cleaning, most of the time don't have slip collars available to use while bathing your pup. My main concern is the visible mold on the bathing station.
