The staff was friendly and nice, and there are a few tables around for customers to enjoy their snack. Good donuts, great service. Breakfast sandwiches tasted great, but not worth the price for the size. Definitely one of those moments where you're better off making it at home for way cheaper. Here is my two cents, and the quality quantity and price of the happy donuts... it was delivered by Uber eats in a timely manner, and the driver went out of his way to properly deliver. Thank you Sarah... I order a pineapple strudel, a doughnut, and an apple fritter along with a sandwich for later.. A coffee arrived piping hot and was pretty good and a sandwich was just a sandwich.. Things that I was just disappointed in was I did not receive my pineapple strudel and was yet still charged by Uber eats or the store. The other items I was disappointed waswith my donut and my apple fritter. They were obviously not made fresh today. You could tell the difference having hot or anything sugar had crystallize so which made it actually very old or a day old.. I ordered this item at 8 AM on a Sunday morning..... I have had fresh donuts and I know what older donuts feel and taste like and this was the ladder not very fresh.! though I must say the prices were a little bit less expensive than other ones, but that does not justify for their failure to have a proper and proud product...... To start off, the place is really clean and cute inside! The worker was helpful and everything was very neat. However, the donuts weren't the best. They were okay, but they seemed too machine made. They didn't have that greasy, crunchy, unhealthy quality that a lot of small donut places have. The selection also isn't super vast besides the classics. read more

I absolutely recommend Happy Donuts on De Anza Blvd. The store is under new management and the owners have done a remarkable job renovating. The seating area is comfortable, quiet and sparkling clean. The donuts are fresh and tasty, not painfully sweet. The sandwiches are outstanding...bacon, egg and cheese on a warm croissant. YUM. I was pretty disappointed. I came in and got two donuts and their special drink, the banana matcha latte. The donuts themselves were okay--I got the original glazed and this like chocolate and regular dough twist with glaze, and they were glazed only on one side in a very thin layer. It just felt like I was eating a vaguely sweet bread, not a sugary glaze-y donut. Didn't hit the spot at all. That drink... oh my god. It was genuinely the worst matcha drink I've ever had. I couldn't even drink it. It tasted like milk with something off about it (not in a spoiled way, just didn't taste good). I didn't taste any matcha or any banana, it was just milk with a weird flavor I can't name. I don't know how to describe it. I genuinely couldn't drink it, it was so gross. Service was kind of lackluster, it took a couple minutes for someone to come out to the register to take my order despite not having any other customers, I think the worker might have been in the back chatting with the other employee. New ownership/ management. They gave this place a fresh and clean update. Different folks, but I appreciate the friendly and positive vibe living up to the name. I've visited a few times in the afternoon and they typically have a modest variety of donuts; previous management and other shops will have a wider variety of donuts to choose from even in the afternoon. Perhaps they manage their production more efficiently so they "sell out of the donuts during their busily morning and have less available in the afternoon. I don't mind since the donuts are well made, "fresh" and well priced below their competition maybe due to a more efficient production model. Would be interesting to see some more "specialty" creative donuts beyond a croi-nut but that's a wish for all the local shops. The gal at the counter was super friendly. I used to be a "Donut Wheel" guy for decades but when they raised their prices to be unreasonable, I had to stop going. The previous incarnation of Happy Donuts became my new donut place and it was just ok and the prices were a little better than Donut Wheel. But the NEW Happy Donuts is much better tasting (really good) and it has the best prices in the area. Happy Donuts will make you happy!! 5 stars for service/staff and 4 stars for the donuts. The staff working here is always very sweet and patient. They're super nice and in terms of the donuts/coffee, everything is fresh and yummy! I personally love their raspberry filled donut holes, those are spectacular and will melt in your mouth. The raised chocolate and vanilla donuts are also brilliant! The only average donut I've had here is the plain vanilla cake donut. The coffee is pretty great too. This location takes good COVID precautions as well, plexiglass between the staff and customer. The last time I came here, there is no indoor seating and face masks are required. Love happy donuts!! I'm so pleasantly surprised and impressed with this local family owned donut shop. They're open 7 days a week from 5am-10pm, and their food is so delicious! We got these sandwiches and a dozen doughnuts in less than 5 minutes on a Sunday morning. They also serve Hawaiian BBQ at good prices, will be trying that soon. RUDE SERVICE - not worth the effort. Walked 40 min to pick up a nice Saturday treat for family and friends. Originally was going to get a few donuts for the family but then decided why not get a dozen... well it turns out the 2 ladies who work there don't enjoy selling donuts. I entered at 8am and they looked annoyed that I dare intrude upon their chat session. One reluctantly got up and I asked if they accepted digital payment. She said yes only if it's $10 minimum. No problem. I will get more than the few I anticipated. I picked out 5. It was still less than the minimum so I asked can I put some in one box and then in another. She said I could only have 6 in one box and 6 in another. Otherwise I would have to use a bag if it was less than six. Mind you, I walked 40min to get here which means I need to walk 40 min back. I'm not carrying a bag and a box when I have carpal tunnel and tendinitis in both arms. I physically cannot. Thus, I ask her to transfer my 8 donuts down to 6 so it can fit the strange (pretty silly) requirement since I'm paying for a dozen anyway. Another customer walks in, a father with a little toddler son. The other salesperson gets up to help. However, this is when my salesperson gets agitated and snippy with me. I asked how many is in this new box already since I have to fill it with 6 donuts. Again, I only needed a few originally but because of their outdated $10min requirement, I have to buy more than my original need. She asks me "how many chocolate you want?" I'm confused because I had asked "how many is in the box" and she repeats herself rudely and loudly. At this point, I'm confused why she's angry with me. Did she think I was taking up her time? There were no other customers there. I was the first one there. I was buying more than I needed for the $10 requirement for digital payment. I was trying to adhere to their strange 6-6 rule per box even though I wanted 4-8 since I'm paying for a dozen already. She repeats "how many chocolate" again. I don't want any chocolate. I'm confused so I ask "why are you getting angry with me?" And she angrily and rudely responds "you have two in this box! How many chocolate do you want?!" This is all while the father is trying to order with the little boy. I'm not sure how this is acceptable customer service in front of young children nor for people who want to pay them money. Sweet stuff makes me wanna BARF. Over the years, I've trained my tummy not to have too much sugar, but sometimes, I can't help forcing myself to eat something that looks and smells so freakin' gooooooooood. We hosted a slumber party with two other kids and one adult so I felt I had to provide breakfast for everyone. I wanted something quick and easy. I didn't think fruit was enough food in the morning for these peeps. After yoga, I stopped by work and Happy Donuts was nearby according to Yelp. Woo hooo!!! I ordered a dozen but I only had a chocolate donut. Okay, okay.. I had two chocolate donuts that day. The dough was perfect... soft and tender, not too dough-y, not nauseatingly too sweet. LOVE you Happy Donuts! I've been coming here since I was a kid, and I still find myself coming back here for some old skool donut lovin'. They have one of the cheapest prices I know of with FRESH and soft donuts. Even thought this place is open 24 hours and whether or not you walk in at midnight or 8AM, this place ALWAYS has quality donuts. It's not like Donut Wheel which has served me hard-ass donuts at 10PM in the past. This is the best and my favorite donut spot, so GO IN AND SEE WHAT I MEAN. Their donut holes are the absolute trademark. Plus they have free Wifi for customers, and I always see people whether I'm coming in to get breakfast for the next morning or waltzing in here on a lazy weekend morning.
