This time as I drove by, I had a friend and my dog riding along with me. Would they let us have dinner outside with my dog? I pulled up and walked into the restaurant to ask. Sure. We could sit at the high picnic tables near the front lawn. It was a nice, relaxing setting. Our server was Juliet, a very nice and helpful young woman. I ordered a Rustic Mule which was really a Moscow Mule and a Turkey Reuben with garlic mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a half pound burger with Dirty Fries. The food was delicious. We had a great time. I couldn't finish my meal. I ate half and took the rest home. Too bad. I was hoping to make it to dessert. The restaurant is famous for some sort of ice cream "flavor bomb," which I'll have to try next time. The dog, meanwhile, got a nibble of turkey from my sandwich and then sat down beside me. Juliet said the dog was so quiet she almost forgot the dog was there.

Service I guess was okay.. can't blame callouts on long wait time. Food was nothing special, very generic, burger I got was dry, cheese wasnt very good, if there was supposed to be sauce on it, nothing. Fries I've had better, coleslaw a small 4oz dixie cup. I guess the doodle of the donkey with a huge butt in the menu was funny, but otherwise I wasn't impressed with this place.

5 Stars - A Local Favorite That Never Disappoints!…read more I can't believe this is my first Yelp review for the Raindancer because we've been here at least a dozen times! ‍ It's become one of our favorite places to eat. Most visits, my husband and I grab seats at the bar , but this time we brought my brother and sister-in-law along for dinner, and it was fantastic from start to finish! The service, as always, was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Our food came out at just the right pace--never rushed and never a long wait. We were seated almost immediately, but to be fair... we also showed up very early. Here's what we ordered: Two of us had the surf & turf special. My brother-in-law ordered the prime rib sandwich. And my husband tackled the 32-ounce prime rib! He said it was, hands down, the best prime rib he's ever had anywhere! Everything was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. Whether you're looking for a quick bite , a casual date night , a family dinner ‍‍‍, or a place to celebrate a special occasion , the Raindancer is a wonderful choice. We'll definitely be back... again and again! Highly recommend!

I've been coming to Raindancer for years and I honestly can't remember ever having a bad meal here. It's one of those dependable restaurants where you know you're going to leave happy. Back before COVID they had a legendary salad bar and I REALLY wish they would bring it back. I'm not even a huge salad person and I still looked forward to it every time I came here. It was fresh, loaded with options, and honestly one of the best restaurant salad bars around. Raindancer, if you're reading this, bring back the salad bar!!! The ribs here are excellent. Always tender, flavorful, and they give you a very good sized portion. I've brought several friends here over the years and everyone has always enjoyed their meals. The restaurant has a nice rustic feel to it that fits the atmosphere perfectly. The food is consistently great and the staff has always been friendly and attentive whenever I've visited. Small negative is there are no free refills on soft drinks. I believe it's always been the case here atleast as far back as I can recall. For me it should be a big deal because I live sodas it's an integral part of my dinner. But yet i like it here a lot so I forgive it. That says something. Keeping my soda filled is one was I rate servers. If they do it without me asking they are ontop of their game to me. But Ike I said that's not applicable here. Just keep it in mind. But for me, the crown jewel here is the chocolate mousse pie. It is fantastic. Light, fluffy, rich without being too heavy, topped with whipped cream and little chocolate morsels. It's absolute heaven. They also have a peanut butter mousse pie that I keep telling myself I'm going to try someday, but every time I come here I can't bring myself to pass on the chocolate mousse pie. Maybe one day... although probably not. It's just too good. They have a take out window. Sometimes if I'm in the area I quickly pick some up for desert. It's so worth it.

I started with the Saranac Blueberry Blonde, which is a refreshing beer that smells exactly like blueberry muffins - it's so good! The bartender also brought out a delicious bread basket to start and the olive oil it came with was amazing - it had chunks of roasted garlic in it. For my entree, I ordered the Penne a la Vodka with shrimp, which came with a house salad. It was fantastic! It had a good amount of shrimp in it too. Overall, the food was great and the service was a little slow but thankfully the food was worth the wait. I was too stuffed to try any dessert but I hope to if I'm in the area again!

Well, that day came -- and I kinda wish it hadn't. Started off with a beer -- tasted fine, but it came in what I can only describe as a juice glass for toddlers. I've seen communion cups with more volume. On the bright side, the Buffalo Trace pour was generous and done right -- finally, someone knows how to pour a proper drink. Now the food... yikes. It took so long I thought they were growing the ingredients out back. When it did show up, the plates looked like they'd been hit by a food shrink ray -- portions were weak. Worst offense? The cheesesteak came with zero cheese. I'm not even being dramatic. No melted cheese, no slice, no nothing. Just sad steak on bread. Felt like I got pranked. Only thing that saved this meal from total disaster was Randi, our waitress. She was on the ball -- super friendly, fast, and clearly doing her best while the kitchen was stuck in neutral. If you go, ask for her section. Seriously, she's the real deal. Bottom line: I wanted to like this place -- had high hopes. But unless they step up the portions, pace, and, ya know, actually put cheese on a cheesesteak, I'll be sticking to backyard grills and diner breakfasts.

Why would we drive 20 minutes in the rain and fog on St Patrick's and not eat at the lobby restaurant (this restaurant) where we were guests for two nights? Why walk out on our reservation? The reservation made with the front desk? Incompetence. Disrespect. Complete inability to remedy multiple screw ups. We were taken to our table with a cute little reserved placard on it. Unnecessary, but ok. There were three tables dining. Of dozens. As in the place was completely empty. Tables everywhere. Ours? Right next to the point-of-sale system against the bar. We asked to move. A dozen tables were available away from the bar. As it turns out, the significantly warmer side of the venue. Nope. The gentleman states that we can only sit on the kitchen entrance side close to the main door. In an empty restaurant. We sat there for about two minutes before it was clear we'd be cold from the main door draft and even more frustrated by the loud yelling in the kitchen. The ice crunching from the bartender was the only thing that made it comical. Seriously, within two minutes my neck was stiff from the cold at the second table. My wife's feet, in boots, we're getting chilled. I'd be furious if this wasn't a first world thing. It is a first world thing. But if you're looking for a nice dining experience in an empty restaurant and the staff wants to sit your reservation made, suite (just a bigger room) staying butt in front of the kitchen or POS system rather than accept that the guest isn't satisfied with the hospitality... As I said, we left. We won't be back. At least I got a nice text letting me know they canceled our reservation.
