They also ensured my kids were safe by reminding them not to get to close to the rode, amazing and super nice! Also have a nice hammock, a nice relaxing little water stream with a bridge and nice and peaceful and playful with some statues, toys, and relaxing things and a option to be outside, inside or be outside with a roof over you. Stopped by and had a cheeseburger with mac salad. The burger was good and came with a generous portion of mac salad, which made the $10 price feel pretty fair. The atmosphere was friendly, and the staff were nice and welcoming. Overall, a solid spot if you're looking for a quick bite. read more

Happy Days are here again! Or they will be, once this godforsaken pandemic is over. It will eventually end, right? Right???!!! But Happy Days the Restaurant is still here, and if you're driving by, I highly recommend a stop. I haven't partaken of their burgers and dogs, but on a hot day, the ice cream can't be beat. They've got both soft and hard ice cream, so I can get legitimate ice cream while my wife gets a twist with sprinkles like a child. At least she shared it with our actual child, I guess. This roadside stop is staffed by the sweetest girls. Business has probably been a little slower, so I gave them a pretty generous tip (percentage wise) which I thought was pretty reasonable (total wise). I have to believe no one tips them because the girl was like, "Are you sure??!" and then they loaded me up with way more ice cream than I really ever need. My small cone must've had four scoops on it, and in the heat it collapsed under its own weight and I lost two of them...and I wasn't even sad, because it was still plenty of ice cream for a small, and the perfect treat on a hot day. read more

Great spot! We have drove by this place for years and today we stopped. They were the only spot open on the way home from the lake. They were actually open after the hours that they had posted. First. Hospitality. First class. All the young ladies (I imagine the gentleman too but we didn't see any tonight) were friendly and courteous. Second. Tastiness. First class. All four of us had unique tastes and they're all really delicious. I had cannoli hard ice cream in a waffle cone. Marscapone flavored vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and cannoli shell pieces. My Son had hard ice cream mint chocolate surprise. Super minty with chocolate all throughout. My daughter had Cookie Monster also hard ice cream. Blue vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and cookie dough. And the wife had soft serve vanilla with cherry flavor twist. Finally. Price. Very reasonable for what we received. A diamond in the rough to say the least, Happy Days is unassuming, a roadside drive up that you could easily miss heading north outside of Amsterdam, NY. We pulled in looking for a quick bite, burger and fries and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered 2 Happy Days Burgers and my first indication that I was not in your standard roadside burger dive was when the tatted-up babe behind the counter asked, "How would you like that cooked?" "Medium Rare please," I answered in disbelief. 5 minutes later we had 2 medium rare burgers delivered to our picnic table with fries cooked to perfection! Best part (I mean other than the perfectly cooked big juicy burgers) was the cost-a real bargain to say the least! I was there June 10, 2022. The burger was tasty and I loved the grilled bun. Great flavor. Things were a bit juicy, likely due to the grilled mushrooms. This resulted in the whole thing falling apart before I was done. The macaroni salad was also good - a bit different with peas and carrots but a generous serving. I used to love this place as a kid, so when it reopened I was crazy and excited! We came here a few times last summer and loved the food and definitely the ice cream! I don't know if they changed their ice cream but the choices for hard ice cream so far this year haven't been my fave. So I have ventured out and tried some of their Sunday's and I gotta say, they are SO good! The funnel cake Sunday is AMAZING! They can make it with hard or soft ice cream, I opted for soft. The funnel cake was warm and crispy but just a tint bit chewy. Seriously it was so damn good. When we want good burger we always come here. I opt for grilled onions, my boyfriend opts for bacon. Neither of us has ever been disappointed! We often get it to go, and they give you your food in a reusable bag, which I think is so great. Less wasteful! This is definitely one of our favorite summer spots! read more

Husband and I read on their online menu that they serve hand cut fries. But, they don't. The fries had been frozen. They were crispy but none of t he fries were more then 2 inches long. I ordered the fried clams and they were served spread out on top of the fries. Weird. My husbands burger was ok. A pre formed frozen Pattie lacking any seasoning. The cheese wasn't melted and toasting the roll would have been a nice adfition. Overall the food was what you would expect. Awesome place! If you are visiting the area or passing through you have to stop here. Food is delicious, burgers cooked just the way you ordered it, and crispy fries. What more could you ask for?! Was there last Thursday on the 2nd in the evening and the 2 girls behind the window seemed to care more about talking then waiting on customers . Used to go a lot last year was first time this year and boy did the prices go up and the serving sizes on food went way down. Great hot dogs - footlong and real beef. Fries were not good but you can't order a hot dog or burger without them, which seems silly. I should be able to order just a hot dog and not pay $5. Good customer service otherwise. They use a number system but brought our food to us anyway and even brought me a water because I hadn't ordered a drink. Will be back for ice cream later this summer. July 4th we went to get ice cream, this is the ONLY place in the area who didn't close up directly at 8:59pm but was extremely inviting!!! We called at 9:10pm to see if they were open and we were told they closed at 9pm but to come on over and they would serve us! Ice Cream is the best around as well!
