I haven't eaten traditional Mexican in quite sometime, and if you're ever in Dublin VA - this is a must stop, the flavors are fantastic and service tremendous, Robert at the bar is friendly, attentive & joyful - you'll love this place! Great Mexican theme to boot!

Found a hotel in Dublin, VA, and asked the hostess how the Mexican restaurant was. "It is really good! And you get 10% off with you show them your room key." Well, I guess we are eating at Happy Cinco de Mayo! And glad we did! Sat immediately, and our waitress was so helpful and nice. First Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at, and the waitress had the sweetest southern accent. I wish I had remembered her name because she deserved and earned a very, very good tip! Ice cold Modelo and a mango margarita started the meal off right. The free chips and salsa didn't disappoint. But the highlight of the night was definitely the food. My mother got a cheese enchilada, which was simple but delicious. The wife got a supreme taco, and it too was simple but very tasty. I had the quesabirria tacos. They were probably the best I have ever had to date. Wow!! The grandkids got the largest kids' meals I have ever seen! A mini cheeseburger that was bigger than anything McDonald's sells, and a cheese quesadilla that consumed half of the plate! And only $5.99 for their meals. Absolute, great value!! Speaking of value, 2 Margs, 2 Modelos, and all that food for $57!! Oh, and they sell Margs and beer to-go for us hotel guests! What a perfect stop!

Delicious Mexican food with quite an array of options. I opted for the arroz con pollo with vegetables. First - the portion was huge! I had to take half of it home. Second - it was the perfect plate of rice, chicken, broccoli and onions, with a delectable and light cheese sauce. I couldn't stop eating it and wobbled out. Third - the service was spot on - extremely friendly and attentive. The price was low for everything you ordered. I was shocked at how well everything just blended together. Pretty cool place full of decor - check it out!

Dublin, Virginia who knew. Just here for a stop visiting someone hiking the Appalachian Trail and found this place. Thank you Roby. We had an amazing evening. The food was great. My husband had the Burrito Grande and the chicken and peppers were fresh. I had the Burrito Special and it was tasty and fresh. The House Margarita is large enough to share. And our bill was amazing...$36 Our server Roby was engaging and helpful even treated us to tequila shots for dessert, my kind of dessert. Wish we had a place like this in Charlotte, NC

Great food. There were some food combo not normally seen. Had the chicken with peppers and it was cooked with cheese. The spicy peppers were mellowed out with the cheese. Will definitely try other dishes when we stop by next.

Giant house margarita, fresh Mexican food, great service by Roby in a bright and clean setting. What's not to like? I had a burrito grande with chicken that was awesome and the friendly service by Roby, just made the evening better. Wish I lived closer, I would come back often.

Please do not patronize Creek Bottom Brewing…read more It is not a safe place for women or children. Creek Bottom is at the center of a local controversy involving a young man named William Ayers. In 2023, Ayers was convicted of child rape (carnal knowledge of a child) and abduction. He was released from prison last year, back into our community. Upon his release, Creek Bottom Brewing began employing him to work in the brewery--as a known convicted child sex offender. In February, while working for Creek Bottom, Ayers was arrested AGAIN for ANOTHER sexual assault, strangulation, brandishing a firearm, and abduction by force. It got a little media attention as the "Valentine's Day Rape." Recently added to his list of charges is possession of child porn and sexual abuse of an animal. Where does Creek Bottom come in, beyond offering a job to a known child sex offender? William Ayers' parents are the owners of Creek Bottom. They made the choice to employ him at their brewery, along with their many young women employees and the families who visit the restaurant. Our dollars spent at the brewery unwittingly went directly towards Ayers' paycheck. Many community members feel that Creek Bottom's owners have made horrendous decisions that endanger our community by choosing to have their son employed at the brewery, and by supporting/enabling him in other ways. It is readily apparent that Ayers' parents employ pricey high-powered out-of-town attorneys to defend their son from his charges. (Courtroom interactions between those attorneys and the father of William Ayers reinforce this, with the attorneys pulling Daddy Ayers aside for extended conferencing before making motions.) A couple of days ago, Ayers was offered bail set at $900,000. That means that if his supporters/enablers come up with a $90k bail bond agent fee, or $900k on their own, Ayers will AGAIN be released into our community. All of this is a matter of public record: past convictions, state sex offender registry that showed Ayers working at Creek Bottom until his latest arrest, ownership of Creek Bottom, recent charges, and ongoing court case with private legal defense. All members of our community can and should make their own INFORMED choices here. Sending your money in Creek Bottom's direction could literally help lead to this individual being released into our community once again. Endanger the wealth that is supporting him, and we may be able to make a real difference for community safety. Please don't unwittingly contribute to a William Ayers legal defense fund or to bailing him out to walk among us again. If you see fit, stand by us in this effort.

Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. I also love that they have closed captioning on the televisions. And they have a roll of paper towels and all of the condiments already on the table which helps the workers so much. The crinkle fries were good. They have a good seasoning on them but they need more. So much more seasoning because it's good. The beef topped pizza was also good. The dough is a little sweet but I ate every bit of it. The cheese was plentiful. To me, the homemade chips were wonderful. They weren't greasy or salty. The club sandwich's bread was out of this world fresh and good. The sandwich was a little thin to me. I would have appreciated another slice of meat but the sandwich as a whole was good. The cheese was melted and tasty. The food was a little expensive but I guess everything is since 2020. The parts I didn't like-they are minor things. There was a loud hum in the lady's restroom. Sounds like it's coming from the ceiling although there wasn't a light over the stall so I'm not sure. Upon arrival around 2 pm on a Monday, there were 6 tables that had not been cleaned. I saw a couple of workers on break outside, perhaps they took a break after a lunch rush?? The only female worker had her hair up but part of her long bangs was hanging down. I used to work in food service and we always had to wear hair nets. The dress of the staff was quite casual. That doesn't bother me but some might frown on it. One guy had crocs on. Another guy was wearing sweatpants. Again, no worries for me because it's a casual place but wanted to mention it in case you're looking for a white tablecloth kind of place. This is not it. Side note-the ice cream and fudge across the street at Hester's Country Store is AMAZING! makes for a nice dessert after eating here.

The place is small but quaint, with dim lighting, a full bar, and a fun mix of music genres that keeps the vibe relaxed but lively. I ordered the Gregg Brady, and my sister had the Doctor Gozo, both made with 100% Wagyu beef. You can taste the quality immediately. I added mushrooms and grilled onions for a small extra fee, and had my BBQ chips that come on it, on the side. We shared the crinkle‑cut fries, which came with their incredible house sauce. The sauce was so good I asked if they sold it, they do not, but the waitress sent me home with some samples for free. Service was fast and friendly. The waitresses were dressed in black tank tops, black shorts, and black shoes, and every one of them worked with a smile, like they were glad you came. The restaurant entrance itself is handicap accessible, but the bathrooms are not, they're very clean but also very small and too tight for a wheelchair to fit inside. One of the coolest things about Jack Brown's is their Beer Club. If you drink 100 different beers, you become a "Notcher." If you drink 1,000, different beers you become a "Saint." On Saint's Day, Saints get all food and drinks free, unlimited, with no tab. It's a huge part of their culture and adds to the fun, and a loyal community. Overall, the food was phenomenal, the staff went above and beyond, and the atmosphere made the whole visit top notch. I will definitely be coming back the next time I roll through this part of town. How to Become a Notcher (repeat for the Saints) To achieve Notcher status, individuals must follow these steps: 1. Visit a Jack Brown's location: Start by walking into any Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint. 2. Request a Notcher list: Ask for the Notcher list to begin your journey. 3. Try 100 different beers: Sample 100 different beers to reach Notcher status. 4. Join the community: Once you hit 100, you become part of the Notch Club, which includes various events and celebrations. And The BiblioPub is the perfect example. Located on Campbell Ave, in Downtown Roanoke's West End District, almost next to the Locker Room Lofts, The BiblioPub calls itself a Bookstore, Coffee Shop, and Beer & Wine Lounge. With a Cafe Menu divided into Sandwiches, Coffee and Tea, and Beer & Wine, it also stocks current pastries and sweets from locally owned bakeries. As soon as I found out of its existence, and reviewed its website, I immediately headed over there to discover what this place was all about. What I found completely amazed me. A large open space with furniture arranged in such a way as to create warm and cozy spaces where people can go to read, eat, drink, view and purchase used and new books, and socialize with one another in a cozy and comfortable environment where they can get together with old friends or meet and make new ones. A welcoming and friendly staff consisting of two ladies were situated behind the bar counter, where they greet and meet with their customers, take their orders, and bring the orders to the tables where they are seated. If the order is for an alcoholic beverage, I saw them checking the person's ID before processing it. They also were chatting with the customers seated at the bar drinking some beers. There are bookcases full of used and new books, reasonably priced, so one could get a sense of the book there and decide if to purchase it and take it home with them. Since I already had dined, I ordered a lemon muffin and a large Iced Café Latte. After paying with a credit card, I went to sit down with my muffin and one of the staff brought me the coffee when it was ready. I believe this is a wonderful concept for a place where one can go, enjoy reading a good book, have a snack or light meal, cool down with an Iced Coffee, beer, or a glass of wine, while socializing with friends in a safe and cozy environment.
