Family friendly, open seating in booths or tables. Booths are large enough to hold 6 large adults. I had the Special #1. Eggs over medium with sausage and a biscuit. My husband had the sausage and cheese omelette with grits, hash browns and a biscuit. Where the locals hang so you know it is going to be good. Our server was friendly and engaged. I would suggest not charging 3% fee for credit and debit.....there are not many who carry cash now days and credit cards are a part of doing business. read more

I have been to Patty's Kitchen quite often and really enjoy the food, but this last time we went the service was not good at all. I have noticed that there is a certain waitress who doesn't attend her tables and ignores when the cook hits his bell. He was quite frustrated with her when we were there. I've also noticed that she will sit and talk to someone at a table for 10-20 minutes but ignore all her other tables. read more

First time at Patty's. Passing through and wanted a non chain restaurant. Late Monday afternoon, not too busy. Was able to get a booth and the waitress immediately took my drink order. Staff were every friendly. Restaurant is clean and spacious for large groups. Menu has a good variety of items for that everyone will find something they like. I ordered the special which was the taco plate with chicken. However I got the beef but I think it was better with beef anyways. It was delicious. My traveling companion ordered the other special of hot beef open face. However they were out of mashed potatoes. She got the Mac and cheese as a substitute. She said it was all good, however the mac and cheese was bland and didn't have much for taste. Overall it was a good place to stop for lunch. Service was great and all staff were friendly. Will eat here again if in the area for a home cooked meal. read more

I went here with a local friend for lunch. It's a nice little local place that feels like a Virginia variant of a New Jersey diner. I won't say it's outstanding but I won't fault those who give it 5 stars. Relatively low prices for good food in a nice casual and friendly atmosphere. Service is not quite like NJ diners, they won't be by every 2 minutes to check on you but you'll get what you ask for if you need something. Probably the best stop in town. read more

Best western omelette I've ever had. Crammed with fresh ham, onions and pepps toss in some shredded cheddar-Wow that hit the spot. Great little diner with a hometown touch. Very nice gals all serving everybody. If their lunches and dinners were as delish as my breakfast than I'm happy for the good folks of Dublin. Not clubbed over the head with absurd prices either. Wish I left room for their blackberry cobbler, which was calling my name from the windowed fridge in the corner. Oh well, next time I'll get that first. Went here a few days ago for dinner and it was incredible! Inside the diner is immaculate with a very welcoming, friendly service. The food is delicious! I got a mouth-watering cheeseburger with fresh, crispy bacon, just the way I wanted it! Mashed potatoes were good, I'd personally do a little more seasoning, but I understand because some people can't have them. My friend had the 10 oz, medium rare, and it was made to perfection. He got Mac and cheese and a baked potato, said was amazing! The servers were moving as fast as they could and were doing a great job, esp with the fair in town! The staff here are super polite they make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. The food is fantastic. I've had the pleasure of trying the big breakfast, bacon cheese burger, and chopped steak. Today, I had the Philly cheese steak sub. I got totts with mine instead of fries, and I can honestly say they don't skimp on the portions. Will definitely be back to try more from the menu. read more

I am a constant traveler and love little mom and pop places like Patty's Kitchen. It is small , homy feeling, great service. I had the Country steak dinner with sides of fried okra and steamed broccoli . and a wonderful cornbread muffin (southern style that made this southern boy really happy) I love the fact that the steak was nice golden brown and crispy but the steak was nice and thin, moist and tender. and not over cooked. And the gravy was perfectly thick and not smothering the entire steak. They even gave me a extra portion of broccoli. :-) I am going to be in town for the next week and I will be back to sample their entire menu. I highly recommend Patty's. I saw the low number of reviews and the low rating but I wanted to give them a chance. And wow they nailed it. read more

the food here is usually great but the servers (waitress with dark hair and pigtails) leave more to be desired we arrived and waited 15 mins to get menus she went to everyone that came in after us we had to go to the counter to get help and she told our waitess but she said we just came in and sat down. We did what the sign said and took a seat. we ask for a refil and she just slings them across the table and rolled her eyes. she stood at the register being hatful to people coming in to get orders and talk ing to others about them she got corrected by anouther customer and then turned to talk to the other waitress. our waitress seemed to have a issue with us the entire time we were at your resturant all she could do was grip to the other waitress about us and be hatful when she came to our table. our food came to the table an hour after we ordered they dropped the food and ran my food was ice cold the meatloaf was hard and cold all the way through mashed potatos where iced cold. no one came to our table to check and see how things were. they were turning people away bwcause the wait for food. The waitress was sweet and honey when we left to us but the rest of the time i might as well have done it all myself. Just passing through. Found this on Google with 4 good reviews. Good locally owned home cooking. I had grilled chicken salad and it was good, just a basic salad with tender chicken, tomatoes, cheese,onions and iceberg lettuce. My wife had meatloaf, mashed potatoes & baked apples. Meatloaf was moist and had texture due to chopped veggies within. All was good, home cookin' like her sign says. Prices very reasonable. Really terrible experience with the waitress at our last visit. It was a Sunday and we arrived there at 1:45. They close at 3 and she made sure we were aware of this. First off Patty's had hands down the best sweet tea I've ever had from a restaurant. I was not expecting that when I walked in, but what a really great surprise! Secondly Patty's doesn't pretend to be anything that its not. Its down home country cookin', and very fairly priced. Everything on the menu is between $3 - $6 so you can enjoy a sit down fresh prepared meal for less then Hardee's or Burger King will cost you now a days. Someone else's review suggested the home made potato chips, so I ordered some. WOW they were good, definitely order some! Also they have Kentucky Derby pie, which I had never heard of so I ordered some. Good Lord it was delicious! I had a drink, salad, a main course, dessert, and my Wife had a drink, main course, dessert, and we split an order of the homemade potato chips and our bill was $20. That's amazing in a work where a Hardee's burger is going to run you $7! Give Patty's a try! read more

I think they have good breakfast I usually order the omelet but service is awful. We went there last weekend for breakfast and we walked in at 09:45 and didn't get our food until 10:35. We ran out of drinks while we waited and no one asked if we needed refills until our food arrived. read more

Tried this place while passing through area. Four of us had the 5.99 lunch special that included meat, 2 sides and tea. My mom had spaghetti and salad that she enjoyed. My husband said the meat loaf was good. My dad got the sugar ham that looked like 2 thin pieces of wafer sandwich meat from the Walmart deli. I got the chicken tenders. I received 2 frozen small chicken tenders that was dry and looked like belonged on a kiddy meal. When we went to pay for the meal the 5.99 special ended up costing much more because they charged for refills on the tea if you got more than one refill without informing us. read more

We had dinner at Patty's Kitchen tonight and I wanted to write a review. I love eating at good hometown diners, just as much as 5 star eclectic restaurants. You have to understand what Patty's is in order to have a good experience and appreciation for her menu and food. I had the 4 vegetable entree, for $6.95, which consisted of salad, regular iceberg lettuce but kick ass homemade ranch dressing, amazing corn fritters, real mashed potatoes with gravy and well cooked pinto beans and corn bread. The ambience is a dimly lit road side restaurant across the street from the railroad line, it is not in the greatest place for business exposure, and I wish Patty had an in town location, because her 7 years in business, kind gentle southern personality would be appreciated by so many more people. Breakfast is great and the prices are cheap, amazed that I can get an egg cooked they way I want it fried, over medium, well, over light, poached, scrambled or hard boiled. Can have a biscuit with gravy choice of meat 2 eggs my way coffee for less than $5.50. read more
