I have been going to this nail salon since it opened. I always make an appointment and I always ask for Alice or Anna. For a while, everything was going well and I was very happy with suddenly there's a manager, a young man every time I make an appointment it's either double booked or I can get a manicure from Alice and pedicure from somebody else and that's not what I I called today I asked for Alice I was told she was available at 3 o'clock. I told him I wanted a regular manicure and a regular pedicure, possibly a spa pedicure and he told me I needed to come I told him that that was not possible. He got snippy. I told him well I'm not coming back there again and he said fine OK. I called back and asked for a manager and he told me he was the manager. Popped in here 4th of July weekend to get a pedicure before I headed downrange and had my feet in Boots for a couple of months. To my surprise. Paul senior from Orange county choppers was in there as well getting his dogs taking care of. The technician was very borrow and I even ended up getting a small manicure and she mentioned that it wouldn't hurt if I took care of my hangnails even if it wasn't professionally, which I thought was pretty cool. Pretty busy place and they even have a massage spot in the back. Overall. I would definitely check this place out if my number one wasn't available. read more

Since the new owner took over the quality of their service has gone downhill. The environment is not pleasant. While I was getting brows done, one of the new owners staff was listening and watching everything being done by a seasoned worker (who was great). I've been here 3 times and will probably be my last. The first time I came in the staff was rude but it was my first and didn't really think any of it. The second time it was the same and the wait it's insane even with an "appointment". This Friday I went for the third time and got a gel mani and pedi and when I tell you my feet had never feel this horrible and I noticed that they reused everything for several clients (for hands and feet). I picked a light brown color for a dip powder manicure. The color ended up being a purple. Jojo told me the color was labeled wrong and laughed. I said okay, but this still isn't the color I wanted. She called the manager over and they spoke in their own language, not including me or apologizing that their own color was labeled wrong. He walked away and i asked what the solution was. They were looking at me like I was stupid, not knowing what I meant. I said again, I would like to have the color I picked or change the color. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I asked the nail tech to fix one nail that had lint in it and another that was clearly crooked. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she became incredibly rude, calling me annoying and being openly argumentative. I used to come to Hany's for years and Lulu used to do my nails She left, and they changed management and very disappointed! The guy I have been going to always seems upset and I have been doing acyclic nails for 35 years and he insists that my nails need to be thick and wide. After I left, my hands felt horrible because I can actually feel all the acrylic (being so thick) I went someplace else and I got my nails the way I have been used to for the past 35 years!!! I've been going to Handy's Nail Spa for a couple of years. It's a hit or missed with the friendliness depending on the tech as well as the service received. Just like most if not all nails Salons in the area they charge for everything and anything. They expanded their location last year and upgrading everything. Lisa and Lulu are experts in their areas of service. But for my quick Manis I like Carmen. It is preferable if you make an appointment ahead of time as I never had an issue with my appointments. Depending on the day and time of day it's a hit or missed when it comes to walk-ins. Finally there is an ATM in the location with a very cheap withdrawal rate, I have used it a couple of times and haven't had any issues. read more

Service by Lisa was not professionally equal..... while I did like the way my nails were done.... I did not like the way I was treated.... Lisa did not offer same experience for persons of different ethnicity.... I found it offensive and insulting when she told me I had to call to make appointment .... I left the building and then came back to get a card only to find Lisa making an appointment for the customer she had serviced after me not to mentioned I watched her give that same customer a neck massage that was never offered to me.... The manager was not there for me to file a complaint.... I spoke to another attendant that offered to take my appointment.... I said I wouldn't spend another dollar in this place and if Lisa keeps giving poor customer service then this place will eventually have no service.... Make sure your name has been entered on the list! Because that didn't happen for one of my friends and she got skipped over. I got the charcoal pedicure and 3 weeks later my feet are still looking good! My technician was careful and precise. The entire pedicure was efficiently done and relaxing. I paid way too much for poor service. I was rushed and treated poorly while receives a pedicure and gel manicure. Never had a manicure before where you leave and your hands are not moisturized. I missed the name of the woman who rushed my $45 pedicure with regular polish, but did catch Munro's name. My nails were cut down shorter than I wanted. He picked at the cuticles put the gel polish on and that was it. Very disappointing for $75. They should also beware that you don't have to be Asian to speak Chinese! I went in for a fill and gel manicure. The nail technician was very impersonal and rough. He was so rough that I bled from two of my nails. The nail station was also filthy. I can't take an apology. I would love for people to stop judging people for their appearance . I walked in today and the lady asked me what did I wanna get done and told me to have a seat. I waited five minutes, walked over to her and asked her. How long will it be? She said 10 to 15 minutes I said OK and had a seat 10 minutes later. I walked in one night bc my regular place (where I had an appt) was packed and they were not great at honoring appts. I didn't have time to wait. I walked into Hany's and waited about 5 minutes, then Marc helped me. He was so professional and nice and did a great job! I have been coming here ever since. I have NEVER waited for my appt.; when I walk in Marc is ready for me every time. They know how to run their business! The spa pedicures are amazing. I have been getting gel pedicures and powder gel (dip) on my nails. I just decided to let my nails breath, so I got a regular mani/pedi this week. I expected it to last less than 24 hours before it chipped, especially in my nails fragile condition. But to my surprise today is Day 3 and they are still holding up without chipping. Came here for a wedding in town and this place did not disappoint. I got gel almond short acrylics and the gentleman who did my nails was patient and really took his time. It was nice to watch someone admire their own work. I told him I was from nyc and my nails came out better than they do at home and he was elated. I needed to go to a nearby store and was thinking about getting a manicure. I sropped in and the price for a regular manicure was $10. You can't beat that so I figured I would try. My nails were too long (I have a toddler who was complaining that I was scratching him) so she cut them back and shaped them perfectly. It was a quick manicure and the polish was perfect. Terrible experience. I've done many basic manicures and pedicures and this one didn't do some essentials I expected. There wasn't even hot water. So my feet soaked in cold water, they pushed cuticles back, filed, and painted. That was it. No treatments. Even the most basic ones I've paid for provided that so i don't understand why they didn't. He didn't even paint my entire nail. It looked like they had been painted and grew out for over a week when they were done. I sat under the dryer for at least 30 minutes and still the polish got messed up immediately. We made an appointment in advance and specifically asked for both mani and pedi for each of us AND we wanted to be together. They said it was no problem. I took my daughter for her prom to get her nails, pedicure and eyebrows done. It was a rushed job. They were done in less than half an hour with her eyebrows not fully cleaned with hair still on them. On top of that they ask for an extra tip along with the cash tip that I left for the worker. I've gone there for many years but the quality in this place has gone significantly, meanwhile the cost continues to rise & rise. They always make errors and never offer an apology, acknowledgement or discount to make up for it. They do not sanitize tools in between customers unless you specifically ask them to. They now use cheap products so nails chip after just a day or so. They say they take appointments but when you show up they don't honor your appointment & lie that you didn't make one (even after showing evidence) Some of the nail techs are very very bad at doing nails but still charge the same. Their extra charges do not make sense. When I switched from tv to shellac, they charged me extra even though the removal was exactly the same. If I tip less than 25% they seem disappointed & never thank me (I'm usually a good tipper but I can't find myself tipping 25% when one of the techs do such a horrible job- I've left there looking like a 5 year old painted my nails before). When they do a poor job I usually tip 15-20% When they first opened they were so awesome it's really really unfortunate that they have gone so downhill. There are too many nail salons in the area to continue going to a salon that does not value quality for loyal customers. read more

What I especially liked was that the receptionist was realistic. He told me there was not time for both manicure and pedicure. Deplorable service. When they first opened, it was beautiful and I swore I'd never go anywhere else again. The last few times I went, I could not be more disappointed. I went yesterday with my 5 year old daughter for mani/pedis. I did not have an appointment so I asked how long the wait would be. She said 20 minutes without even looking up at me. In fact, my presence in her business seemed like an inconvenience. 20 minutes came and went, and then 30, 40, 50...I didn't want to leave because I didn't want to disappoint my daughter and I had already invested so much time in the wait. ONE HOUR AND 20 MINUTES later, they sat us in two pedi chairs. We continued to wait. They did my daughter's toes first, then a half-assed job of her nails as she sat in the pedi chair. The girl who did my manicure did a good job but was EXTREMELY SLOW. When all was said in done, we were in there for 3 hours. From 4:20-7:30. It was too late for us to go get dinner afterwards like I had wanted. My daughter was patient but the experience was not enjoyable. On top of it, the cost was $74 for our mani pedis. I was charged extra for callous removal, which would have been okay by me if they had actually removed my callouses. I will NEVER go back. They just want to take your money and lie about the wait and make you stand around. They do NOT value your time. Everyone in there was complaining. Sorry to say this mani-pedi visit was a first and last visit to Hany's. Halfway through doing my toes, they started burning heavy incense, which gave me a headache. The nail work was really basic level. My feet were left still calloused and my toe tips are, too. My fingernails were not well-shaped even though I carefully stated twice that I simply wanted my nails rounded and shortened a little. Cuticles we're left unfinished, nails look rough and they are much too squared off to be called anything near round. Worst of all, throughout the whole visit, my salon staff person carried on several Loud conversations with coworkers, calling all the way across the shop, shouting remarks so loudly I kept getting startled when he spoke to the other employees. Because I didn't want a spa pedicure the gentleman with glasses was not happy . My pedi came out worse than if I did it myself- crooked cuts, streaks of nail polish all over my toes. My finer nails looked only slightly better - cuticles only partially cut nail polish all over my fingers and smudgy polish . Not worth the money . He rushed the job too I was out in 30 min ! read more
