Pretty sweet Korean pub spot to get your comfort fixings, wings and drinks with a group get together setting. I appreciate that the interior of seating set up does allow for a cozy intimate gathering for your group to be in their own bubble. When we stopped by Hanshin, they were still operating on the soft open menu so options were limited but the rice ball DIY and entrees we ordered were yum, and solid. Looking forward to the Korean pancakes and other treats for ordering once the menu is expanded. Service was friendly, swift and food came out hot and ready. Our waitress forgot to bring us drinks upon arrival but I'll consider she was getting into the groove with all the volume of dinner rush, we can't wait to return for our next meal here.

Overall: 3.4/5 [dine in] Came with a group of 6. The seating is a bit cramped but manageable. To get the staff's attention when you're ready to order or need something, you press a call button on the back wall. We were never checked on, so we relied on the button throughout the meal. The table was also not set correctly when we arrived as we were missing bowls and plates. The napkin holder was also super dusty, and some of the bowls and plates had dust on them too, so we ended up wiping everything down ourselves. We also found it a bit odd that anywhere from 1 to 4 staff members would come to the table whenever we needed something, including to watch us pay. Why do you need four people for that? Hanshin is coming up on 2 months of being open but still has a lot of "coming soon" menu items. If they can address these issues, I would give it another star. The food was better than the service. We got 4 bowls of rice to share across the table ($7.80 total at $1.95 per bowl), which was really only necessary for the proteins. LA Galbi ($28.95): Good but nothing special. 10 Piece Garlic Soy Chicken Wings ($19.95): Came with a side of crinkle fries that were crispy but not salted enough. The wings on the other hand were delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Grilled Soy and Butter Squid ($16.95): I don't even like squid, but this was amazing! Our friends loved it too, and it quickly became one of the table's favorites. Carbonara Tteokbokki ($17.95): Not as heavy or creamy as I expected. It was actually on the liquidy side and lacked that umami depth. Cheese Pork BBQ ($24.95): The best item at the table for me, with the squid being a close second. The pork was delicious, flavorful, not too fatty, and had a great texture. 2 Flavored Soju Bottles ($29.98): They gave us 2 different brands, Jinro and Soonhari, so it depends on the flavors you order.

20% off on happy hour! I like the "private feel" of tables. Soft opening and you order with menu on the QR code. You push button if you need anything since it has a private booth feel to your space. We ordered grilled squid, snail salad, and bulgogi noodles (not the official name!) it was a great Korean dining and looking forward the their menu after their grand opening!

I had such a great experience at this Korean spot! My absolute favorite was the pork bulgogi with cheese--easily one of the best spicy pork dishes I've had in Austin. The cheese pull not only looked amazing but really added an extra layer of flavor and richness to the dish. The wings were also a standout, packed with a deep, savory umami flavor that made them super satisfying. I tried the carbonara tteokbokki as well... but it was a bit disappointing. I personally wish the sauce had been a bit thicker since it leaned slightly watery. The octopus dish was another solid choice, and it paired perfectly with some soju. I also really loved the ambiance. Each booth is nicely separated, and the closed curtains make it feel like you're in your own cozy little bubble, which adds such a unique and intimate vibe to the dining experience. I think service could've been better as we weren't checked on as often. There is a button you can push to call but we would've appreciated more attentiveness. Overall, a really enjoyable spot with great food and atmosphere, I'd definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our experience here! I came in with a table of 7 so we had to all sit in one of the tents. I do wish there was a little more space to accommodate for larger groups since we were planning to drink and eat a bunch. The service was good, the call button was helpful to call over the waiter in the busy restaurant and they came promptly. For the food, I loved every single thing we got. It was fresh, it was hot and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. A lot of the items on the menu wasn't available due to their soft opening but we look forward to coming back to try more items (especially the raw marinated crabs)

I'm a huge fan of places that have a warm an vibrant atmosphere. I also really enjoy Korean food. This place didn't miss. It took a little while for someone to take our order, but once that was all sorted the service was superb, even helping us determine the best bang for our buck with drinks which is always appreciated. The chicken feet are extremely spicy. So if that's something you enjoy, highly recommend. Also go for the whole chicken and the soup, it was amazing. A great late night pre or post game location with a great atmosphere.

Had a great experience eating here at night after a concert. The menu is pretty big and the food comes out hot and fresh!

I came here around midnight and got the rice bowl and some chicken wings. Each table was sectioned off into tents and to order or call the waiter, we rang the side button. The food arrived in a timely manner and the chicken was nice, hot and crispy. I especially enjoyed the sweet and spicy boneless chicken. I wanted to order half of the yangneom chicken, but they only had whole. Other than that, I really enjoyed my experience here for a late night craving.

I understand this is a soft opening, but I know this is a chain. The food to price ratio here is crazy. You're paying $11 for frozen fries with sauce on them. The wings were insanely small. $20 for like 10 fries and small wings. The service was not good either, I understand they may be new, but my food was missed and they forgot my drink twice. I decided it wasn't even worth it anymore after that. The ambiance is decent. Cute rooms to hang with friends but the room closest to the door get blasted my pressurized wind whenever the door opens, flying everything around. The tissues and everything get hit by the wind pushing the curtains against everything. Would not recommend this place at all.

First off the cute private booths are so cute!! And my server Meghan was awesome!! I love her recommendation!! The food was tasty... I had the beef stew and the grilled chicken gizzards which is tasty and garlicky!! I'm definitely coming back with friends!!!

My husband and I occassionally go to Wicked Snow and we noticed Hanshin Pocha moving in next door. As you enter the place, you see all the tented tables and hear the various pitches and tones of conversations from each table and K Pop music in the air. I was in the mood for a light meal after a long day from work so we ordered the grilled soy & butter squid and the sweet & spicy boneless fried chicken along with rice and 1 bottle of Jinro (blue). The squid was cooked well but the sauce was a bit burnt. My husband noticed it first. There were tasting moments of the sauce being slightly sweet, slightly caramelized, and mostly burnt butter not the brown butter with soy experience I was hoping for. My husband and I provided feedback to the staff and they were very open to listen as well as to communicating it back to the kitchen. The fried chicken had the right amount of sauce that coated each piece of chicken. I was really surprised to see tteokbokki (the small tubular rice cakes) with the chicken. Bonus! Eat the tteokbokki while it is hot because it has a very soft and pillowy texture. Once they cool down, it becomes a chewy. Still tasty, enjoyable, but a different texture experience. Portion sizes of the dishes was enough as for Korean bar food. I believe majority of Koreans and Korean Americans know when to use the call button on the table. The service was a overly attentive (in a good way but got slightly annoying). After giving the order to the server, it seemed like we were greeted by a new staff on the minute interval. I think this lasted like 5-10 minutes and we probably met everyone working that night. It was quite entertaining. Btw, neither my husband nor I pressed the call button. The only time we did so was when we wanted to order the food and to pay for the bill. Overall, the quality and portion of the food and service was good. We found out Hanshin Pocha has been opened for 6 days after their soft opening. Congratulations and we wish Hanshin Pocha much success.

    Raw chicken

I honestly don't even know where to start. This was a really disappointing experience from beginning to end. We were already on the waitlist for quite a while before we even came in, so we expected things to run a bit more smoothly once we arrived. Instead, when we walked in, no one greeted us. Multiple servers walked past us without acknowledging us at all. We eventually got seated, but when we asked the waiter questions about the menu, he seemed very unsure of what was actually on it. The menu photos are extremely misleading. We ordered the galbi, and the portion was extremely small for the price. Most of the pieces barely had any meat on them. They were mostly bone. Definitely not worth nearly $30. When we received the stew, it did not come with a portable stove to keep it hot. They only brought the stove after we had already finished more than half of it. The worst part was the garlic soy chicken wings were RAW. My friend had already eaten some before realizing it was undercooked. That is a serious food safety issue and completely unacceptable. We asked to speak to the manager and had to go through three different servers before we were finally able to talk to him. At one point, he even sent a server in his place instead of coming himself. When they remade the chicken, it only came out with 5 pieces instead of the full 10 that we originally ordered. On top of that, they did not bring us basic items we needed to eat. No plates, no ladle for the soup, no bowls. We had to keep asking for essentials. Overall, very poor service, misleading portions, and serious food safety issues. I would not recommend.

Amazing service. We came for the late service and Gracy was the best server. I loved the intimate space and the great service. Plus, the food was amazing. Please come before this place gets crowded. Im pretty sure you will need reservations pretty soon. Keep up the good work. Thank you for a great valentines. Much love!

As a…read moreKorean American who's spent a lifetime eating great Korean food at home and in restaurants, my standards are high. That said, this was easily the best Korean meal I've had in Austin, and honestly, it might be the best I've had in Texas. The soondubu arrived absolutely piping hot. I ordered the mushroom version, and it was packed with a wide variety of mushrooms rather than just a few token pieces. Even when ordered spicy, the broth still had incredible depth and flavor that wasn't just heat for the sake of heat. The tteokbokki was addictive. We ended up adding cheese and ramen, which took it to another level. The marinated kalbi was equally impressive: high-quality meat with very little fat and generous portions. The banchan was also top-tier. Standouts included the soy-glazed potatoes, fresh kimchi, and japchae. They also serve purple rice, which has a wonderful chewy texture and feels like a more thoughtful alternative to standard white rice. The food alone would bring me back, but the service was excellent as well; friendly, attentive, and efficient. We came for an early dinner and got seated right away, but if you're planning to come during peak dinner hours, expect a wait. The locals clearly know this place is something special. Huge parking lot and the dining area is bright and airy, even playing the world cup games. Seems to be very family friendly.

The cold noodles had a great taste, but were not served with any accompaniment except some ginger. The six pieces of galbi we ordered included one piece that was purely gristly and bone. We had a pretty uncomfortable table wedged between a large family dinner and the server station, blocked from the windows by a giant wall.

We didn't get a single bad cut and everything was flavorful and cooked well. What really made this place stand out though was the service. MJ took care of us and was incredible from start to finish. Since it was our first time, she walked us through the menu and even helped cook the meats so we could actually relax and enjoy our time together. She stayed on top of the grill, swapping it out right when needed, and was always checking in to see if we needed anything or wanted more banchan. What stood out the most was how thoughtful she was with my parents. She made sure they had food on their plates without overdoing it, which was such a small detail but meant a lot. The food was great, but MJ really made the experience. Definitely coming back.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and such positive energy. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and chill vibe made us feel right at home. Every dish we ordered was outstanding and packed with flavor. The seafood pancake was cooked to crispy perfection, something that's surprisingly hard to find, as it's often left a bit doughy at other restaurants. The steamed egg was light, fluffy, and comforting, while the spicy tofu pork soup was phenomenal. It had just the right amount of heat, with silky, melt-in-your-mouth tofu and incredibly tender pork belly that paired perfectly with a bowl of rice. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. At one point I accidentally dropped my chopsticks, and before I could even ask for another pair, one of the servers noticed from across the restaurant and immediately brought me a new set. Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. I am going to focus more on the cooked items as most people here already gave their review on the sushi. Hangover ramen, not too bad. It is like Shin Ramen Instant Noodles with a lighter flavor, nice touch with the bean sprout as it is a needed texture element. Add the gyoza into it and it makes it even better. Cucumber salad, not bad at all. It is missing a bit of spice to it. A touch of chili oil on it would kick this dish up a bit. It is refreshing and a must at the table. Truffle fries, please skip this. No salt on the fries if you are okay with it. It is just a bit of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. It is lacking in flavor. Yaki Udon, skip this as well. Not sure if it was just the day I went but the sauce was not so great. It was this sweet and sour taste but it was swimming on the bottom of the bowl like the sauce was poured on top of it at the end instead of being stir-fried into it in a wok or a pan. The first few bites are okay but the bottom half is just swimming in that sauce. Spicy Pork Bulgogi, decent size overall, not too bad. I would order like kimchi rice to eat with it next time if I come back.
