The staff was lovely and the space itself is definitely the kind of place you'd want to return to for a self-care moment. That said, while they do say walk-ins are welcome, I'd highly recommend booking in advance. I called right when they opened and could barely snag a 30-minute slot for a basic pedicure. I had originally planned to go for the seasonal (upgraded) pedi, but was told they didn't have time for anything but the basic service. At first I was a little bummed (and confused why they wouldn't want to squeeze it in for more money--but respect the appointment aspect)... until I realized half of the "basic" service was spent in glorious hot stone massage and lotion massage treatment. Honestly? It was so relaxing, I might not bother upgrading next time. There were no drink offers--alcoholic or otherwise--which was a slight letdown since some salons offer that little extra touch. But I brought my water and a book, and once I settled in, it was smooth sailing. Overall, Havy delivered a solid experience with top-notch cleanliness and a great atmosphere. Just plan ahead, skip the walk-in gamble, and you'll be golden.

We would highly recommend this salon to anyone! During our appointments today, we encountered a woman who clearly did not feel the same way, and we wanted to share our story because we felt she treated the employees and business unfairly. Today my friend and I came in for a gel manicure and acrylic set. While we were waiting, a customer from last night came in to get a nail fixed that had broken after she left the previous night. The manager quickly recognized the woman when she came in and asked to take a picture of her nails in order to show the other technicians; the customer was clearly unsatisfied with her service despite the manager accommodating her request. This woman then proceeded to loudly and obnoxiously criticize the salon manager and the technician. According this woman, the technician apparently failed to make her nails even, failed to give her the proper amount of coats, failed to spend the "proper amount of time on cuticles," and blamed her nail breaking on the technician. My friend and I actually saw this woman's nails and they looked fabulous, we have no idea where this attack came from. The woman tried to ask for her money back for the manicure, however, the manager correctly pointed out that her broken nail was not the technicians fault and she was not entitled to a refund because she was unhappy with the service. The salon manager handled the situation well. When she left we were not expecting her to leave a tip, but she approached the manager and continued her rant then had the nerve to leave two dollars in quarters which just felt like a slap in the face to the technician who has done both my nails and my friends nails very well before. This woman was embarrassing and told the manager "if she can't handle criticism, she shouldn't have a Yelp account," and that "she could have done a better job herself." I am posting this review because I completely disagree. I do not believe that the purpose of Yelp is to single handedly destroy small businesses. A nail salon is like anything else: they provide a service, and they will do their best, but just because you are paying for a service does not give you the right to demand perfection. If you think you can do a better job and you feel the need to make a public exhibition in order to shame a business, then please save yourself the embarassment and the $21 (plus $2 tip in quarters).
