Great spot in Kirkland ! Lovely decor and vibe in the restaurant, super friendly staff, very attentive. I didn't realize until I asked the staff, but this restaurant is a sister to Mamnoon in seattle ( big favorite of mine) The food is just as good however they do not have the beet dish shamandar , the menus are a bit different. Just to keep in mind.

Muhammad's- appetizer served with Arabic bread

Tried out this Lebanese restaurant first time for a quick bite. The atmosphere was bright , roomy with windows. There are round tables for 4 and 6 people which are great for social gathers. The service was great. Loved the server Aischa who gave us her recommendations. We ordered Muhammara and Lamb Kefta Kebab. The Muhammara had amazing spice and the nutty texture. It came with 'house arabic bread'. It only came with 3 little pieces but we requested for more. Lamb kebab was excellent with great flavor, charcoaled texture, and a side that is a great balance of grilled marinated red peppers. Will definitely be back for to try the lunch menu.

    Chicken kebab and jeweled rice

Pleasantly surprised but how healthy the food tasted. Light but flavorful. Smaller portions so be warned to order enough. The jeweled rice is worth trying, altho a small cup of rice but delicious and needed with the protein dishes. Decorations are clean and tasteful

A little bit challenging to find as it's in a shopping complex. Located across from Lululemon. Love the interior vibrant decor. All the kebabs are delicious (steak and mushroom) and the halloumi was one of my faves. Server was super friendly and attentive but accidentally spilled a whole glass of cocktail on me... I shall never wear white again lol.

Six of us were able to get a reservation same day and were excited to try this spot, We loved the ambience and the food was good--it was the best hummus I've ever had, the mushroom kebabs were fantastic, as were the other main plates we tried (the lamb ribs, chicken kebabs, and lamb kebabs) were amazing. The issue unfortunately was portion size... the kebab plates don't come with a side except for a salad... we ordered rice with which added $8 per plate but I know what some have mentioned and maybe it's having teenagers but was surprised how small the portions were and how much we had to order as a result. The food was wonderful just for the more casual atmosphere I wasn't expecting to spend as much as we did!

Such a nice spot to grab dinner! Went on a weekday and was easy to get seating. Ordered two dishes per person for a nice variety of options and some leftovers for home. Really enjoyed the spices and flavorfulness of every dish - everything was unique and tasty. We had the crispy halloumi, sweet batata harra, fatoosh salad, and the lamb skewer. It is a little pricey but a nice experience with friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

Really food service & food.. Hummus was preety food Not much food options.. Whatever we tried was tasty There lunch & dinner is different.. Wanted to have there fries & shawarma but that just available in lunch..

Lamb kabob dinner. Just one skewer of meat only with no side dish. Not enough for dinner.

Very nice restaurant. Nice design and I like the space between tables. Great service too. Nice open Kitchen. Very clean too. The appetizer plate with humus and three other items was ok. I personally had a much better hummus before. The Halloumi cheese was ok. It was cold and this cheese is much better when it's hot and soft. The cauliflower dish was delicious I ordered the lamb kabobs which was delicious but unfortunately it did not come with anything else ?? A side of rice would have been great. Because of that I give the place four stars.

Falafel happy hour and apricot cocktail
    Hanna S.

Great food, great music great cocktails Thanks to James for making the fabulous apricots sumac_ ~iri. I told him I didn't want it to be too acidic, so he was late on the lime and it was perfectly balanced. And happy hour this is $12 instead of 14. And that falafel dish five dollars on happy hour is a great deal. I've had falafel in many places in the world, and this one is fantastic. OK I wish the garlic yogurt was vegan. I didn't even ask because I am assuming it's probably not. . Take a look at my photo. They serve it with wonderful, purple cabbage. Everything was perfect. I came here at about 445 on Monday and it was very quiet. Sometimes that actually can work against you because you may have staff moving slowly and the beginners in the kitchen. However. It was perfect. They make a chocolate chip cookie with tahini and sea salt. That might sound strange but if you're a fan of chocolate chip cookies, it is delightful. I will definitely be returning.

    Shawarma and harra fries

I keep wanting to give this place a chance to up its game and I'm usually left perplexed, some dishes are so yummy I cannot get enough and then they miss the mark on other but what I can only think of as trying too hard. This is absolutely the hill I'm going to die on, your bread needs to be a larger serving than what you have, if not entirely unlimited as is custom in almost every Lebanese/Shami restaurant. We ordered the hummus, great flavor with 3 little pieces of bread (we went ahead and order more bread and were given 3 more little pieces of bread). This is the same case when we ordered the Mezza last time, hence the ordering of the second "basket" of bread. We also ordered the Halloumi Salad, which was utter perfection, a little bit of apple and honey to accompany beautifully fried halloumi pieces. I love a good Batatah Harra but I do wish it was in the traditional form of crispy potato pieces and not whole mini potatoes as the potato skin doesn't hold as much of the flavor, the garlic sauce with is absolutely divine. Lets move on to the mains we ordered 2 Shish Tawook and 1 Lamb Kebab and we really should have done it the other way round. The kebab was so delicious, the flavors were on point and the cook was perfect, would definitely order again. The Shish Tawook missed on several levels it was very bland and I didn't like the cuts they used, the dish is usually very flavorful but this one just didn't work even with the garlic spread although the accompanying salad was very yummy. We also order a 2 side of their rice (we requested no dried fruit) as the mains came with no rice, come on guys really, the rice itself was nicely perfumed and herbaceous. The service was ok if a little awkward but nothing I'd ding them points for and the interior is always beautiful. I would also suggest that they keep the shawarma on the dinner menu, I for one cannot make it there for lunch and it would be great if it were available all day.

I've dined here more than a handful of times and it's been delicious each time. The service members have been accommodating and kind. The restaurant can feel laid back during the lunch hour then a bit more of a dinner party vibe at night. We've had lunch, dinner, and brunch here and dinner is probably my favorite because of the larger menu offered. All four dips are good, but something about the caramelized onions in the labneh dip is out of this world good. We had the chicken wrap and lamb wrap today for lunch and it was amazing. The lamb didn't have much meat in it, but the chicken wrap was stuffed to the brim. Love that the wraps come with salad and frites as well. Great fry with their own spin on ketchup. I'm craving it right now! Can't wait to be back for another great time here.

All I can say is WOW... NOT IN A GOOD WAY. Came here today for lunch for my girlfriend's birthday and had high hopes until it crashed and burned fast! Sat down and ordered shawarma wrap and a falafel wrap. Basic lunch items and the restaurant at less than half capacity. Fast forward 35 minutes and we are still waiting for the food... THEN when the food finally came everything was cold as ice and she could care less. Especially the fries and when I mentioned it to the waitress she got an AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE and became rude and unpleasant. She did not smile once and clearly doesn't like her job or working weekends who knows but the customer should NEVER feel that. The Owner should be embarrassed he didn't come once to check on the situation and rectify anything until I physically GOT UP OUT OF MY SEAT and told him the fries were cold and had to flag him down to get my check since the waitress was blatantly ignoring us. He was definitely not the owner you'd expect from a nice restaurant. He acted as if it were a normal thing to wait that long for cold expensive food as if we were in a McDonald's drive thru. He didn't apologize once for the waitress or the food and this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. As an owner of a business you should take responsibility and rectify the situation. Not run away and pretend you are a busboy. will NEVER EVER BE RETURNING. Take your business to a place that cares about customer service. This place is a joke but has potential to be amazing with the right staff and MANAGEMENT.

    Moushakal (mezze mix) $28 + extra Arabic bread, $4 - 2 Stars
    Eva M.

No change to previous review. All content there is still relevant, except they update their menu regularly so not all dishes stay available. They still have the dinner/upscale dining, the casual wraps take-out window, and bar seating happy hour menu. The restaurant has nice deco. They aim for upscale, and their prices reflect it. In retrospect, it is expensive for what the food is. Our server today was constantly hurrying us, offering to take our plates away at all times. No one is waiting for a table, and it wasn't near closing time. It was rather annoying. Dropping 0.5 stars, bringing a 2.7 average food rating to 2.2, rounding down to 2 Stars for this review. Newly tried dishes, all from dinner menu: Moushakal (mezze mix) $28 + extra Arabic bread, $4 - 2 Stars This mezze platter comes with a little dollop of Basal Labneh (yogurt), Baba Ganoush (eggplant), Hummus, and Muhammara (red pepper). I honestly have had better versions of each one, most recently in San Francisco. What I object to the most is the price. That is very expensive for the amount of food we got. Halloumi, $7 (I think) - 3 Stars This dish contains 5 pieces of grilled salty cheese. One of my table mates loved it. Another said it could be crispier. 2 others were neutral. Batata Harra, $16 - 3.5 Stars Menu: crispy fingerling potatoes, green garlic bi zeit, pickled fresno, labneh toum This is one of the better dishes. Well-seasoned, crispy fried. A spendy French fries, sort of. Aleppo Spiced Eggplant, $23 - 2.5 Stars Menu: roasted eggplant, naz khatoon, red shatta, aleppo, herbs It doesn't seem possible for a dish that visually looks very good to taste ok+. Somehow, there's too much going on. The roasted eggplant didn't retain "body", so it's much more on the squishy side than the roasted firm side. And each strip is sitting on a lot of sauce, such that if it was firmer, it isn't anymore. The idea is good; the execution is not. Plus, it's also expensive. There are about 1.5 to 2 (Chinese?) eggplants on this plate. Shish Taouk, $28 - 2.5 Stars Menu: yogurt-marinated chicken kebab, sugar snap peas, morel mushrooms, black lime toum, fresh herb mix The chicken is well seasoned and flavorful. I might order this again, but I suspect I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I absolutely love their specialty drinks like honey cardamom, and a shakerato. The vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. It's usually social and low-key but never too loud. They have excellent food, matcha with option to remove sugar (not all coffee shops have this!). Generally, I feel like their staff is really great! Love the location minus the issues with parking being tricky for a quick stop, sometimes need to pay. I keep coming back here! With gas prices over six dollars and budgets getting tighter for so many the one thing that hinders me is their prices. Their baseline drinks are an average of $5.75 + tip. Quiche slice is $8 two hard boiled eggs near $4. Typical typically if I'm gonna spend almost $10 I'd rather buy a fancy drink like a bubble tea or go out for an appetizer and food. When you own your own espresso machine and Matcha at home it's hard to justify getting such expensive drinks unless there is that "I can't make this at home" appeal - housemade syrups, Boba, etc I do love that urban coffee lounge has pour over options which can be time-consuming and cold brew, which is delicious and also more time-consuming. I appreciate their presence in the neighborhood. Having lived in Seattle for so long with so much access to incredible coffee I appreciate urban coffee lounges level of expertise with coffee. It is more rare on the east side. (Zoka is great of course!) And I will keep coming back, but sparingly due to prices. (Am I the only one who feels this way? Let me know!) Dogs are not allowed inside, so tie them up or have a buddy watch them while you go inside. Parking is street or under an apartment complex near by. Not sure if you pay or validate inside those apartment retail parking garages because I parked along the side streets. Park Mobile is the app you use to pay for parking. I love the overall environment of downtown Kirkland, so I was really excited to finally try this spot since it's been on my radar for a while. I was also meeting a friend, which made the experience even better. I ordered their pizza scone, and it looked so good, and it definitely delivered. It was warm, crusty, and had such a unique flavor combination. I've honestly never had anything like it before, and it just felt perfect for a spring morning. I also got a hot chocolate, which wasn't my favorite. It leaned more on the watery side. The space itself is really nice and spacious. They have plenty of seating in both the front and back, which is great whether you're meeting friends or getting work done. Their menu is also pretty extensive, with options like sandwiches, pastries, drip coffee, matcha, vanilla lattes pretty much everything you'd expect from a café. One thing I appreciated was how fast the service was. Our order came out in less than two minutes, which was impressive, especially given how busy it was. Be sure to ask questions if the dish names are unfamiliar. The Food: Soltani, $32.99 - 4 Stars Soltani includes one skewer of Koobideh (ground beef) and one skew of Barg (flank steak). Both are well-seasoned with excellent flavor. We ordered the flank steak medium rare, but it was medium with no pink inside. The steak was tolerable, not as tender as it could have be. This dish was served with rice per the menu. After I saw another table has their kabab served with a bread, I asked the server. She said other than rice, there is a choice of Persian bread (flat bread with sesame) and salad. Curious that wasn't in the menu nor did she say it. Not a dealbreaker. Her reply did raise my eyebrow. Zaboon, $16.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Veal tongue, simmered and fried, tomato, pickles, parsley Based on the description, the texture completely threw me off. The meat is mushy to the point of spreadable. The flavor is light with minimum seasoning. I applied hot sauce liberally to the sandwich. Portion size is large. I ate only half. Fries, $6.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside Some pieces aren't crispy enough. Some pieces are too thick such that the inside has the potato gritty texture. The sauce is a house-created flavor. We like the sauce more than we like the fries. The food is closer to 3.5 Stars. I like the family vibe and am rounding up to 4 Stars for the overall rating.

When we realized we were at the wrong place, we informed the staff. They were incredibly polite and friendly and didn't show any irritation at all. They kindly said it was no problem and were very understanding. While we were there, we took a look at the menu and decided we should come back and try the food another time. A couple of months later, we returned to give it a try. We ordered the non-mixed grill, and it was absolutely delicious. The beef was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The chicken was also excellent. The rice was perfectly cooked, and when we added the butter, it tasted amazing. They also had a special Persian spice that elevated the flavor to another level. The service was warm and welcoming. Our server took the time to explain how Persian food is traditionally enjoyed and described the purpose of each ingredient. We followed his suggestions, and the experience was even more enjoyable. The ambiance was simple and modern, and the place was very clean and well maintained. Definitely a must-try.

A very welcoming barista crafted a pair of 16oz mochas with really nice coffee art. Note that cash payment is not accepted. Points can be accrued via Toast by signing up with your phone number. Nice clean cafe with plentiful natural light, healthy plants, and mirrors. There's merch and coffee roasts also available for purchase. I can't speak to pastries and other menu items since we were there towards the end of the business day. Majority of the folks seated along the counter were taking advantage of natural light while working on their respective laptops. Counter seating, as well as, table seating are available onsite. Pleasant, brief visit to their Kirkland indie cafe location. Appreciated the tasty mochas.

While we were there we asked if they would be willing to display an "Everyone is Welcome" decal in their window--a small symbol of inclusivity for the neighborhood. The response we received was direct and disheartening. The barista behind the counter stated, "Our company doesn't support that." It appears we aren't the only ones who found this stance concerning. For those who prioritize supporting businesses that value diversity and open doors, you may want to take your business elsewhere. We believe the community deserves to know where local establishments stand.

The parking lot can be quite busy or filled during day time hours but easy to park during dinner time. This café is eatery style where you order at the counter, and they bring you the food. Three screens behind the counter show the menu; there are no paper menus. On the Friday night when we went with two friends, this little eatery was packed with plenty more for takeouts and deliveries. The clientele suggests many are regulars. We were lucky to score two pairs of small tables to make a table for four. Service was basic; everyone was busy in the kitchen or at the counter. We were offered a complimentary hot cup of Turkish tea on a cold night. Thank you. This little place is neat and clean but not a place to linger. The value is good with sizable portions. All four of us were happy with our dinners. The Food: Beyti Doner, $22.50 - 4.5 Stars Doner meat, wrapped in lavash bread, covered with tomato sauce, served with tzatziki sauce. Very delicious with a good combination of textures and flavors. Their doner meat has a discernible meaty texture without being greasy. We like their doner meat much better than A.D. also in Kirkland. This is a sizeable meal, and I brought half home. Iskender Doner Kebab Plate, $22.75 - 4.5 Stars Sliced doner meat is topped with hot tomato sauce and melted butter over pieces of pita bread. This is a rich and very filling dish that my hubby happily finished. Lahmacun, $8.95 - 4.5 Stars We shared this crispy lavish bread with minced ground lamb/beef, their version of flatbread, with our friends. All four of us like it. It's a smaller bite and sufficient as a meal for a smaller appetite. A must try. This place is 4.5 stars overall. I rounded up due to reasonable cost (for Eastside) and portion size.
