There's only 2 of us and it's NOT busy. I guess it's taken this long to forget that "we are never coming back." Food came really really fast and was better than okay but not great. Waitress only checked on us one time early in the experience and was never seen again until the end. Never came back to offer us a chance to order a second drink or dessert and it took forever to get the bill. Honestly, not an enjoyable experience. The only thing that keeps us coming back is our poor memory. So, I guess I'll post again in 2028.

An example of a beefy meal would be the Fat Buffalo Wrap, and an example of a skinny meal would be the full rack of ribs. The service was great and they were even willing to split our table's check 6 ways but don't make them do that folks!!! Just get one check and Venmo each other like adults! Jimi was here with a group on a co-bachelor party for two good friends who selflessly kept trying to make the weekend about the other. It was a beautiful thing! There was no bickering at all! Just like there's no bickering about the great menu at Hagen's! 5 stars

I wanted to try many things from their menu, but decided to keep it original with a double cheese smashburger. From the crispy edges in to the center was delightful. What made it even better was the Martins Potato Bun, buttered and toasted, just like you would get way back when at the G.C. Murphy store. My Mom would have certainly loved that. The most pleasant surprise was the fries!! I always order extra crispy, and a lot of places can't pull it off. But Dillon and his team... Perfection! Crispy outsides with soft and fresh potato inside. Anyone who knows me well knows, of my love of ketchup. Well, the ketchup actually took away from the taste of the fries. The seasoning Two Farmers uses is a sweet and salty combo, and the way it clings to the fries fresh out of the oil fryer, they stand on their own. Nothing else needed. My wife had the grilled-cheese bun burger and she said it was great. It is exactly what I said it was, a grilled cheese sandwich on top and bottom of the crispy edged cheeseburger. It was too big for her to finish. She, however did snake some of my fries. Wish we lived closer (next door), I really wanted to try the Homer. Just to say I had. A pink sprinkled donut bun??? I gotta go there. I know it sounds like a sales pitch, but if you are down south, in the Vincennes/Evansville area, take the time to cross the state line on into Illinois to Mount Carmel. Two Farmers is easy to find in town, and the food is definitely worth the trip

The interior features table seating, some coolers with ice cold Coca-Cola (and Pepsi, RC Cola for those wanting more options) and other soft drinks, a kitchen area and of course, walls littered with amazing vintage farming advertisements, thermometers, antique tractors, etc. This place takes me back to my childhood, growing up in a small town with nothing more than a grocery store and some grain elevators. A Midwest mom and pop joint, one of the finest I've set foot in. The folks working in the store were friendly and welcoming. After getting our drinks, we ordered entrees consisting of a double cheeseburger and Cajun cheese fries, as well as a chicken sandwich (add cheese) and mozzarella sticks with, you guessed it, another side of cheese. Both sandwiches were fantastic and fresh, hot off the grill. The burger I had was perfectly done, with a slim char on the outside. The chicken was very clean and juicy. Both were mouth watering. The Cajun fries were cooked just as I like them: crispy but not burnt. The cheese had some spice to it but not an overwhelming amount to the point it was "hot". I did taste a mozzarella stick and the absence of grease and the abundance of crispy, well seasoned breading was fantastic. Top notch all the way around. The wait for the food was surprisingly very short considering everything is made fresh. We felt as if it was just another day eating in the kitchen at grandmas, which I miss a lot these days. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to slow down and take a step back in time and enjoy a meal. In my opinion places like this get overlooked and shouldn't. I can't wait to come back and try the Angus burger!
