This place is REALLY GOOD! Food: I picked up chicken shawarma with triple the chicken to hit that high protein level! I skipped the bases of lettuce or rice and went with a plain base of hummus. I grabbed a cucumber pickles, seasoned onions, tomato & cucumber salad, tabbouleh, grilled veggies, jalapenos, and parsley along with some garlic sauce decorated on top. At first bite, I could tell this was going to be a smash hit in my book! The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well! The hummus was delicious, the veggies were absolutely a knockout! I cleared the entire plate in what felt like 5 minutes! Absolutely incredible in every single way, healthy, delicious, perfection! (5 of 5) Service: A sweet lady took my order and captured everything perfectly. You order at the counter and sit down, they bring it all out for you and even offer up some bread! We stopped here for lunch. I had a craving for something middle eastern after reading about some featured yelp places in this week's email. I chose Hannah's as it was half way to our destination on our car trip today. And of course, I used the yelp app to choose my destination. The restaurant is easily accessed from I95 off Yamato Road. It is in a nondescript shopping strip. It is modest inside. But clean and spacious. The menu is on the wall as well as on a take out print out. You order at the counter. I had the luck to be waited on by Hannah, herself, and she was most amenable to my requests. When your order is ready, they deliver it to your table. I decided to order from the "build your own" section of the menu. I knew I wanted salad but I didn't want a typical bowl where everything is mixed together. Hannah explained that she had a plate divided into sections and she could give me each item separately if I wished. Perfect. I got the salad (no onions). You can also opt for a wrap or for a rice bowl. Next you choose your protein. I got the chicken shawarma. They also have beef, salad, felafel, or veggies. There are a slew of toppings. I got original hummus (there's a roasted pepper one too), grilled veggies, and turnip pickles as my "toppings". The portion was huge. We added some sumac spice as well. And I got some oil and vinegar dressing for my salad. Everything was very fresh. The hummus was nice and creamy; I love those pickled turnips (they are red from beets) but had never had the pickled carrots and other veggies. I gave my husband the pickled jalapeños and actual pickles. I felt like I was eating a healthy lunch. I took some of the salad and chicken home (for dinner). My husband decided to try some of their pies ("sfihas") which turned out to be flat breads almost like a mini pizza. He got 3 of them: one "sujuk" pie (spicy sausage and feta cheese); one meat pie (he got it hot; ground beef tomatoes, onions, and green peppers topped with red pepper flakes); and a spinach and feta cheese one. It was a lot of food. He also took some home for dinner. It wasn't on the menu, but we asked for hot mint tea which Hannah said she could make for us. Two cups of strong chai were delivered with a bowl of regular sugar and several sprigs of fresh mint leaves to add as desired. Very good accompaniment along with our meal and our dessert. We couldn't help but try their version of knafa (it's spelled several different ways across the various countries). We chose their cheese one. It was colored bright orange as most places do so now. The shredded pastry was sweet and the cheese center chewy. There was a sprinkle of pistachios on the top. They also have other salads (fattoush, tabouleh, or Greek), chicken dinners (wings or tenders), and sandwiches. Even burgers if you come with someone who's not adventurous. There's a banner in the window...it's a simple small unassuming place that I have a four star rating to based on food and friendly owners. I had the beef shawarma in pita and my wife the falafel in Arabic flat bread. Both were quite good. We also had sfihas, one half zaatar and cheese, the other cheese and sujuk. Both were pretty good. For dessert we tried their knafe, Palestinian style. The best we've had in the US. Our best was in Nazareth at Al Mokhtar...an impossible act to follow. Probably the worst sandwich I ever ate without exaggeration. You walk into this place, it's not a market, they have a couple shelves of items and nothing else. The soda machine is out of order. So I just go for it and order a sandwich.. I order a falafel sandwich and all I asked for was for them to add pickled parsnips. The sandwich wasn't cheap at 11 bucks. What I got was a falafel sandwich that had absolutely zero taste. No spice, no salt no nothing. They didn't put my parsnips inside. You would think at least they would use home made naan bread of some kind. But no... they use the same packaged Burrito bread that you would find at chipotle... with every bite, I got more and more depressed. read more

This restaurant you order and pickup at the counter. It has a nice casual setting. The owner is welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious, fresh, and excellent preparation. We did not feel that the quantity of the food matched the price for a counter service type of restaurant. My friend had the chicken shawarma platter. There was small amount of meat and mostly salad for $13. It was good .. just not filling. Too bad they don't give any type of bread with this order. It would help make the platter more filling. I ordered a whole cheesesteak with fries for $9.49. I thought it was kind of small for a whole cheesesteak and not overly stuffed with meat. The portion of fries was small as well. Though as far as taste .. the roll, cheesesteak and fries absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Even though we are not fans, I would still recommend trying this place. The plaza where they are is not the greatest but there is plenty of parking. I ordered a kebab and a Mediterranean salad. I don't recommend ordering a salad like that. It didn't have any dressing or seasoning. I called and asked the restaurant and they said they olive oil and lemon juice. It tasted really dry and the portion was small. It was a size you would get as a side but I ordered an entree. Maybe if they would revamp their menu or portions, it would be worth a shot to try it again. Came again to say hi back to the sweet Hannah. I just love how much she is super sweet with everybody. I took my wife (she isn't much of a Mediterranean food lover). It was Saturday and hannah had told me that they have the Lamb (real Lamb meat ) shawarma only on Saturdays (visited yesterday). I had a saudi Arabia malt that has no alcohol and Hannah suggested the apple one, it was just amazing. As always, Hannah's husband gave me a try of a seasoned rice for free which was spectacular. Every little detail is what counts and they truly make it count. I ordered a lamb shawarma with fries and for my wife a philly. Both plates were just perfectly handmade like home... is just feels like home. Delicate and soft lamb, perfect seasoned with fresh lettuce and pita bread. One of the best I've ever tried before, is pure lamb, and it's just juicy and delicious. The philly was perfectly juicy inside and the bread was fresh. This place is just amazing. Again I have to say the best fries I've ever had in the whole USA, extra crispy outside and fluffy inside. I tried the hummus that was really good and I got a fresh cream knafa (literally they took it out of the oven and gave it to me) my God.. the best I've ever tried in my life. Hannah's Kitchen is the middle eastern version of Chipotle for Boca Raton. I rarely get to try new restaurants during the week as work doesn't permit but when the food is halal I always venture out. The menu has a lot of different options but the employees mentioned that the best option was the chicken shawarma bowl which is their most popular item. I ended up ordering the chicken shawarma bowl and it was excellent. If I order it again I would definitely get some extra white sauce on the side. The employees are extremely nice and helpful and my order was to go and they prepared it within a few minutes so I could get back to work. 5 star place in east boca. Definitely give it a go if in the area and craving middle eastern food. The owners are from Jordan and they are doing a great job. read more

This husband and wife are a tag team of THIEVES in a filthy store. I had a bowl of hummus with an orange soda. The bill came to $26 and change. I asked to see the check. She had a $3.99 service charge plus a $4.19 built-in gratuity. When i asked her about the charges she started stuttering and gave back $4 in cash claiming it was a mistake. A $13 meal turned into a $26 bill. I'm calling the IRS and the health department on this place. It's quite filthy and disgusting. Check your bill before paying. They take advantage of people's trust. We were in search of a good Mediterranean lunch and after consulting our Yelp Community decided to stop in at Hannah's Kitchen in Boca. Located in a strip center with plenty of parking and easy access. Hannah was working the counter and gave us a friendly greeting as we came in. A few moments to look over the wall menu and savor the wonderful smells wafting from the kitchen.... I decided on 3 sfihas (pies) : 1 Meat Pie with ground beef, tomatoes, onion green pepper (I ordered mine Hot), 1 Sujuk pie (with slices of sausage) and 1 Spinach and Feta pie. My wife and I asked about Chai with mint which we both enjoy but didn't see it on the menu. Hannah offered to brew some especially for us, with her beautiful smile, pleased to showcase her Chai skills! After a short time our hot Chai arrived with sugar and fresh mint sprigs. Was in search of something quick and not too heavy while on a work trip. I came across this little gem in a typical nondescript South Florida strip mall. It is a small family owned shawarma spot with lively Middle Eastern music I came in about 25 minutes prior to closing time which is a big faux pas I usually try to avoid, but I said what the heck and decided to check it out since I was getting my order to go. I ordered the "build your own" salad bowl with chicken shawarma, hummus, tabouleh, turnip pickles, tomato & cucumber salad, and tomato. The bowls also come with your choice of 8 or so different sauces, I opted for the buffalo tahini as it seemed unique. It took about 10 minutes to make so kudos on the speed. For starters, the portion size was more than adequate, but I didn't feel gross after stuffing my face. All of the vegetables tasted very fresh and were crisp and crunchy. The chicken was flavorful, but was a little dry. I had to dip the chicken into the buffalo tahini to compensate for the dryness. Based on the other reviews I chalk this up to the fact that it was the end of the evening and the chicken may not have been as fresh as it would have been at lunch time. Overall great meal, I had to knock down one star based on the dryness of the chicken. I will have to return for lunch and have another meal while at the restaurant to give them another shot. read more

There are a number of Middle Eastern and so called Mediterranean restaurants in Boca Raton, but none of them really prepare food in casual settings like you will find in Israel or Lebanon like an authentic shawarma and felafel place. Look no further because Hannah's is it. She's from Beirut, her chef/brother is from Haifa. They specialize in Halal Beef and Chicken shawarma fresh spit roasted and sliced to order. You can have the proteins served in a wrap/pita or over your choice of salad toppings such as tomato/cucumber or tabbouleh. They got the real middle eastern pickles too. We had amazing parsley herbal and cumin spicy felafel, great creamy hummus (you know the best stuff is always made from peeled chickpeas) and smoky babghanoush. They make freshly baked sfiha pies with all kinds of filling such as sojuk and makanek sausage, and sweet pastry such as kanafeh nabulsi (a baked cheese and noodle dessert flavored with orange blossom water) and baklava. Really good fried kibbeh as well. Chef makes a mean arabic cardamom spiced coffee (qahwah). I mean what else do you want? This is a no frills place, it looks like (probably once was) a pizza joint. Hannah brings your food to your table like she's your mom or favorite aunt. The shopping center is a bit worse for wear but it's perfectly safe because it's Boca. If you're into home made Arabic food, look no further! I had the chicken shawarma sandwich which was good and came with a side of garlic spread that I had to get two of it was so good. The grape leaves are excellent and served warm! Try the Zaatar Labneh and definitely try the Zaatar with cheese. Hummus too! It's like Mom is in the back cooking up fresh food. So good! Nothing special to look at and they use plastic silverware, but if you love Mediterranean food, stop by, they are so kind! read more

This place is AMAZING. We have had some really great food while visiting Boca Raton, but this is a little treasure in a very old shopping center. You will have to hunt for it, but it worth it. Build your own shawarma...I tried the beef on flat bread. Added hummus, tabouleh and the vinegarette. It was PERFECT. We ordered Falafel as well....and it was light and delicious, by far one if the best I have had. The people were so friendly and welcoming and very proud of what they are doing. Portions are large for the price. Strip mall is on it's last leg with broken down closed store fronts. I am so happy I found Hannah's kitchen. The falafel is some of the best I have ever had, if not the best (and I have tried a lot over the years). They're perfectly seasoned, not overly fried and a pretty good size. I find the salads to be pretty filling and a very decent portion for the price. I love their hummus and tahini as well. Definitely try the buffalo tahini if you like buffalo sauce. All of the employees are friendly and always have a smile on their face. Hannah is a sweetheart and you can tell that she cares about her customers. Every time I eat here the ingredients taste very fresh, something I noticed right away.
