The vegetable soup was a bit bland and it would have been better to be able to pick our own sides with platters instead of "chefs" choice which means whatever no one is buying. Ok, ok, ok.....this is a "must try" Grill. Service has always been exceptional and the chef and kitchen staff are very warm. I was really pleasantly surprised by Bissli Grill. The indoor space is very bright, clean, and well decorated. Everyone was warm, polite, and efficient. I ordered the grilled chicken in pita. It was a large portion and presented nicely. The chicken was excellent -- seasoned well and cooked perfectly. It was a great dish! My companion order the burger. We were both floored when it arrived. It was huge -- two 4 oz. patties. It was also presented nicely. The only one drawback for me was the choice of beverages. I ordered bottled water and it was purified, not spring water. Really expensive for what you get. And what is the deal with the water? The server put down glasses with ice, but no water. No free water. What, this is France!!! The platters were ordered came with two sides and "salads and pita". Don't expect the table full of refillable salads like in Israel. And those were tiny plates, not more than 1/4 cup each. The food was mediocre at best. My friend's merguez were these two wimpy little hotdogs with not much flavor, my supermarket at home has better ones. I had the "Jerusalem mix", which here is steak and chicken. Not much flavor, not impressed. Our other companion had something equally forgettable. The service wasn't bad. After reading some mixed reviews, I was not sure what to expect. The food here turned out to be wonderful! This Boynton restaurant is kosher and is closed on Friday afternoons and on Saturdays. So plan accordingly. It's not a fancy place more like a diner or luncheonette. If you're eating in, just choose a table and take a seat. The menu is on the wall as well as on a printed menu. Each table has a number on it. We were greeted very soon after we were seated. The waiter took our drink order after giving us our menus. I knew I was in the mood for felafel so it didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted. We decided to share a felafel platter. The felafel ("deep fried chickpea balls with herbs and spices") were some of the best I've had. The platter was served with two sides of our choice. I chose the Israeli salad and their rice and beans. You also get a choice of three different "salads". They usually choose these for you -- it's a long list (see the salad bar offerings), but there a few of the items that are not my favorites. So, I told our waiter what we wanted. I chose the original babaganoush, beets, and hummus. They were making a new batch of hummus so we did have to wait for that one. Two fluffy pieces of pita also comes with all platters. The platter was big enough for us to share. And we liked all the sides and salads -- especially the creamy hummus. The place was pretty busy when we stopped by for lunch. It's a "meat" restaurant so they have lots of non- vegetarian offerings like shawarma, grilled chicken, beef kebabs, and even hamburgers. And a lot of other middle eastern favorites like grape leaves, morrocan merguez, shakshuka, and baklava. Prices are a bit higher here as it's kosher. Kosher meats are expensive. But portions are made for sharing. And we look forward to coming back for more of their offerings. read more

We were able to squeeze in and find a table just before the lunch crowd arrived. They have a menu board as well as table menus delivered by a server.We ordered a Falafel Plate which had six of the best falafel balls I have ever enjoyed and was accompanied with two sides, (we chose Beans and rice and Israeli salad), and three servings of Bissli salads of ( hummus- babaghanous- red beets) with warm pita bread. Within a reasonable amount of time, our plate and sides arrived and the portion size was generous enough to share between us. A family of ten sat at tables near us and the seven children were served pretty quick and were occupied enjoying their meal. Tables are also available in a backroom as well as tables outside. Catered from Bissli grill and everything we ordered was delicious!! Shawarma chicken and Moroccan cigars were awesome. My personal favorite was the fried cauliflower perfectly cooked!!!!! Really a 4.5 for a sit down kosher restaurant. The decor is simple yet tasteful, the restaurant is spotless , food extremely fresh and tasty, and service spot on. They brought us a trio of dips to start ( on the house) and we shared a wings appetizer and a Jerusalem grill plate as our main. The grill plate was large; we ordered Israeli salad and couscous as accompaniments. It was a lot of food and my husband and I now have lunch for tomorrow too! The only slight negative is when I chose water as my beverage, they brought me a bottle of water rather than asking me if I wanted tap or bottled. Food was amazing and super fresh, staff was super friendly and made great recommendations but we didn't listen and just ordered pretty much everything on the menu with zerroooo regrets. This was our first visit to Bissli Grill and I had my heart set on shawarma for dinner so you can imagine my disappointment when I was told they had sold out of it. This was at 6:30 om on a Sunday. I told our server this was like McDonalds saying they were out of hamburgers. Our server was very nice and helpful. We had falafel balls with tahini as an appetiser. We were surprised that it was brought with our meal instead of before however this was no big deal. The falafel was very good. My wife had a chicken schnitzel roll which she liked very much. I decided to be adventuresome so I order the Moroccan lamb sausage wrap. I was not sure what it was going to be and it was like a spicy Hebrew National hot dog. It was fine. Prices were expensive but it was Glatt kosher and no other restaurants of its type near by. We went with a gentleman who keeps kosher and it was near to where we were at the time. Bad experience be aware of Israeli Combina! I ordered Laffa Shawarma, the women at the counter told the Israeli guy who made it to take fresh Laffa because the old ones are extremely dry. He told her "no I will fix it"- he took a water sprayer and tried to make it soft to no success- he did it in front of my eyes and probably taught I don't know Hebrew. I ate at this place many times and after seeing this I can just imagine what other things they do to "save" on the customer's expense. It's the last time I go there! It's the only kosher place in Boynton Beach and that's why they care less. Now I'm happily driving once a week to Hollywood to Dabush - it's 45 min each way - I rather do that than having these Israelis treat me like a trash literally trash give me food that had to go to the trash. Waited 18 minutes and weren't even as much as acknowledged. No menu. My wife and I sat and stared at each other in disbelief. We were so looking forward to dinner. Especially since we live across the street. Apparently they were too busy. There was plenty of seating just absolutely no service. As we got up my wife said to the waitress we have been for 20 minutes and not even a menu. The waitress said "you can sit there ." My wife said that we were sitting for 20 minutes ignored.
