The Arabic dudes who work here look and act like they just got off the Subway from Brooklyn 15 minutes ago-and I mean that in a good way. Ordered food and Called a few times after a hour got ignored and then again after a hour and a half finally talked to someone and canceled my order . They were rude and complained because I canceled. SMH! Still sent out the order then called me to tell me they will no longer deliver to my house because I refused to take the food after I canceled it. ‍ wont be spending my money to get cold food after almost two hours. Portions huge and that is no lie. Prices obviously more than a Subway but Subway is all bread and no filling and this is the opposite - at LEAST a pound of meat on every sandwich. Any way, The best Salads and Gyros in town for half the price of other places. You won't be disappointed but remember, if you order a "Large" anything, you better have a friend to help you eat it. Other reviews imply this is in a questionable neighborhood; I have found the Hanini staff, customers, and overall feel of the area to be eclectic and quite friendly. Went to the Brown St location for lunch today. Only two guys working take out and counter. Waited 25 minutes just to order because staff was poorly organized. Many customers left. Stopped making sandwiches after I left as they ran out of lettuce and someone was at the grocery store buying that product. My review is large amounts of food, quality so so for little money. Very popular with the college crowd. Will not go back again, there are better quality restaurants then this for lunch in our area. read more

Hanini's is simply the very best deli in all of Akron and the surrounding areas. Manny, the owner, is a peach of a guy---multi-lingual, multi-talented, very generous, and very kind. But since this is a restaurant review, let's deal with the food. In two words: DELICIOUS, HUGE. Simply the best corned beef you will find---kosher corned beef, which is entirely different from the corned beef and cabbage kind for those who don't know. I don't know where Manny gets his corned beef...it must be flown in from New York!! I basically refer to Manny's corned beef sandwich as "meat with a side order of rye bread". If you love corned beef (and I sure do) this is the only place you want to go to. But everything--and I mean everything-- is delicious and the portions enormous. My wife loves their bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich (which you don't normally find in a deli when you consider it). Lots and lots of bacon and plenty of tomatoes and lettuce. Manny made a gyro for my son when I was last in Akron and he took it home to finish for supper---and he is a big eater, a growing boy. You simply must go to Hanini's if you like great deli sandwiches. Of course they have plenty of drinks--anything you want really--chips and all the customary sides. Their dill pickles are kosher and delicious also. I have ALWAYS ordered the corned beef sandwich, but I am quite certain that all of the other sandwiches are just as delicious. This deli can get quite busy, which tells you how good it is. I just wish Manny opened a Hanini South here in Wilmington!! read more
