Poker nights!

Love it here! The bartender Bella is so attentive and friendly, and really added to the over-all vibes of the place.

this is the front bar and on the side you have more sitting areas in the back patio is a great chill spot. It has TVs, heaters, and ashtrays Also, it comes with games in the far left corner. Would recommend the wings, the burgers, the mozzarella sticks everything is fire. and green tea shots were great, Michelada are great! Can never go wrong with nice kitchen, staff and bartenders.

Sitting outside because the inside was gross

the food really dropped in quality the other day. I was there in the morning, and the main chef was hopped up on cocaine. Then I spoke to somebody else who told me they got raw wings. This place used to be really they took all of the good dishes off the menu and switch the burger to a Smashburger when they used to quarter pounders and now all the chef does is take shots behind the bar with customers and does cocaine in the restroom and in his car plus spends all his time talking to people at the bar instead of cooking good food and he's probably the only half decent cook they have which is sad because I used to love this place and now every time. The other time I went there was at night and I got cold food and it was just terrible. but three years ago, this used to be a good place a spot that I used to recommend for the wings and the burgers but as a I can no longer consciously recommend this place to anyone the place has just turned into a place for cocaine addicts and alcoholics no longer has good food and atmosphere. It's truly a pity.

Taylor is awesome!!! Need I say more? Ok, I will..... We had a girls day out & after lunch we ended up at the Hangar. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable. Taylor welcomed us & was ready to help us figure out what we wanted. I had literally NO idea but Taylor suggested the Pina Bullada. It came in a huge mason jar & it was yummmmy! I was really tired AND I love Pina Coladas so she hit the "Bullseye" w this suggestion! Ha! I don't drink beer but my friend does & she loves the draft beers they have. I think her fav was Karbach Oktoberfest blonde beer... This place really is great. I think that the creative concoctions that they serve in Mason Jars & unique shots are an added bonus to an already fun place w a cool vibe. Drink prices aren't overpriced & apparently if Taylor is your bartender you will have the best visit! I'm not a fan of bars BUT I'd go back to this one! The restrooms are clean, tables, bars & floors were all very clean. Some bars just feel dirty. I think the Hangar would pass a white glove inspection. There is a large patio outside too! We just never left the bar area bc Taylor was so great... They have food too! I didn't order anything but my friend ordered nachos & said they were great. Sorry! They were devoured before I thought to snap a photo.... I blame the Blue Balls. (A really good shot ) There is a jukebox that you can play music from an app on your phone on & there are plenty of TVs to watch sports on. Final Thought.... Check out the Hangar Pub on Nacogdoches. I hope Taylor is there! Tell her Melissa sent you to get a Pina Bullada & some Blue Balls! You won't regret it! Thank you Taylor for making our very random Girls Day Out turn into an all evening BLAST! You are the BEST!!!

Windows at Hangar Bar, Saturday 1:15pm, August 12, 2023

Visited Hangar Bar for first time. We decided to come here because of the food reviews. Much to our surprise, upon entering the building the windows were filthy. Usually that would detour us but decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. We sat at the bar ( Saturday, August 12, 2023) They opened at noon so when we arrived it was approximately 1:15 to 1:30pm The entire place only had 2 people in there when we arrived. The bartender was very nice and greeted us . We like really cold beer( didn't see any reviews on how cold the beer was) so decided to order draught. Beer was ok. It's not cold as some other establishments around SA, but was doable. Bartender noticed we were looking at the menu and asked if we wanted to order..I did. I ordered the fried pickles and Franks hot sauce wings- which by the way neither disappointed. During munching, the bartenders favorite song came over their system and without asking the customers, cranked it up so loud! You could not hear your partner next to you talk. The bartender came over and what we thought she was saying was to ask us if we needed anything else, we asked her to repeat herself because we couldn't hear her. Then, she couldn't even hear our answer but knew what we were saying. Our food was good, customer service was good. Only thing is: Clean up the windows upon opening and respect the customers in terms of cranking up the tunes.

Three large pieces of perfectly beer battered fish with house made fries, a hefty portion to leave you full and happy. The lighting there isn't the best, so the pictures don't do it justice. They even have the traditional malt vinegar if you ask for it. It comes with homemade tartar sauce and some lemon wedges (I always ask for extra) Other great things we've tried include the sausage sandwich, the breakfast, the cottage pie, bangers and mash, curry and chips, Reuben egg rolls, and the steak! Yes, the steak! It was surprisingly good, but everything is good here. They even have HH specials on Fridays until 6. Fish and chips are buy 1 get one 1/2 off on Tuesdays. They also have live music - check their schedule. Parking is a bit awkward but we've never been unable to find any. Service is always great.

The curry french fries were okay ... not a huge fan of their curry sauce. The mule was very good as was the raspberry beer. The plates however were a different story. Every plate was cold .. not just not warm .. they were cold like sitting out on a counter for an hour cold. The food was bland .. they were out of items (potato pancakes) ... did not tell us .. and subbed without asking. The experience started well but ended poorly.

The place was located in a small plaza off the side of some main roads, and we gathered for a class team building event. By that I mean beer and burgers. The entrance beckons you to come on in, what with its neon sign and all. The walk up feels rustic, and the door makes it official: you're entering an awesome place. There's plenty of seating and every night has something else to offer. I enjoyed the breakfast burger which was delicious. I liked the quality of the bread and the contrast of a well-seasoned patty. The fried egg was prepared beautifully, and the yolk covered the fries waiting below on the tray. The place is military friendly in terms of the bill and our sever, Rebecca, was not only fast and friendly but very welcoming and knowledgeable. Some folks decided to try their hand at Karaoke and had the stage to themselves. I liked that the TVs also had the lyrics up so that you could sing along without having to turn to face the stage. All in all it was a great place to grab a bite and build rapport with colleagues.

We arrived at 12:45, and by 3:00 p.m. only about half of our group had received their food. While the servers themselves were polite and professional, this issue falls squarely on management and whoever approved the reservation knowing they could not reasonably accommodate it. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced and similar to food court food. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this restaurant. If I were the manager I would've comped the whole party. This is not a way to run a business!

They have a great selection of whisky's and usually make a really good black and tan. Today I sat at the bar, I was greeted right away and got a beer in 20 secs. I've had the fish and chips here which were good. Bangers and mash I've had and enjoyed, Shepard pie is pretty good. Today I went with the BBQ burger. Food came out in about 10 mins from placing my order. Not bad, not great. My rating on the bbq burger. They did not ask me how I wanted it prepared, it was pretty much well done. The bun was a little hard, almost stale. There was not much bbq sauce on the bbq burger. With all the toppings, I'd give the burger 5 of 10. The hard bread took away from it for sure. I always like to try just the patty without anything on it to see how restaurants prepare their patties. It was about what I expected for a well done burger. Not much flavor, it tasted like well cooked ground round. I'd give it a 3.5. The fries were so so, I like fries more on the crispy side. These were more like thick steak fries, soft and limp. They were seasoned with salt and pepper. Not bad, not great. The beer I had... had an odd smell. It tasted ok, but I think the glass itself may have not been the cleanest. Hoping I don't get sick from a dirty glass. The bartender was nice enough to let me try their frozen Irish coffee. It was surprisingly delicious, like a boozy ice cream. It just seemed like a full glass would be too much. So I got a black and tan, which was good. If I was eating just this visit, I'd probably be between a 2-3, food was meh, and the dirty glass didn't help. If I include all my other visits I'm at 3-4, since this most recent experience I had to say I'm closer to a 3 than a 4.

I will say the GPS got a little confused in the route for some reason and I nearly missed an exit and even the entrance (there was some construction going on) There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot was pretty full. You walk up and either walk through the courtyard style Biergarten with tables or you can go inside. It was an unseasonably nice day, so, we opted to sit outside There is a QR code to view the menus. There are entrees and plenty of apps/sharables. There is also a very extensive beer menu. Make no mistake, this is their bread and butter. They boast an imprecise "99 beers on tap." There's local brews, light and dark beers, hoppy, Belgium style, German style, wheat, etc etc etc. if that's not your speed there are cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Our server was fantastic. She made us feel well taken care of The drinks hit the spot, and the food was tasty. It was definitely a chill vibe/hang. We were there for hours just catching up, and we saw other happy hours, birthday parties, dates, bachelorette parties, etc Some tips: I did order a couple beers that they were temporarily out of, but there are so many beers to pivot to. Also, our server was incredibly helpful in offering other suggestions, similar suggestions, and asking the right questions to help land in the next alternative They are not open Mondays, and they're only open until 11pm Tuesday-Thursday (and Sunday). Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate. Bang Bang Bar has long been one of my favorite bars in town, and after this night, that reputation is more than earned.
