I loved how Robert and Ana's response to my Yelp request read and their scheduling calendar was easy to use. They kept me updated about my appointment, right up to the day of the work when they notified me that Robert could come early. That worked fine for me. Robert was at my house as agreed and he looked at my problem, told me what he suggested doing and how much it would cost. It was very reasonable and I agreed on the spot. After getting needed supplies he had it fixed in no time and I have my lovely piece of furniture in working order again! Robert is a terrific person, friendly and professional. He is local and has other clients in my condo project. A real find! I will definitely be calling Handyman Today when I need work done professionally and reasonably. Can't say enough good things!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with this handyman was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. Our first correspondence began in January, and although he was unable to accommodate us until March, we were understanding and willing to wait. Initially, he quoted us for three separate projects. While the pricing seemed high, we still decided to move forward and schedule the work. One of the projects involved plumbing concerns, which became more urgent, so we decided to have our regular plumber handle that portion separately. I reached back out to revise the scope of work down to only two projects. Surprisingly, the updated quote for two projects ended up being more expensive than the original quote for all three. When I questioned the pricing, I was told the original pricing was only lower because the work had been "bundled." A few days before the scheduled appointment, I asked whether it would be possible to push the work back by one day due to a busy client schedule at our business. He declined and instead suggested an entirely different date that worked better for him, which delayed the project even further from the original timeline. We agreed in an effort to remain flexible. He later requested a deposit, which was understandable. However, because this was for our business, I requested a detailed written quote and W-9 form so our accounting department could properly process payment. Despite multiple requests, he was unable to provide the documentation needed, and communication became increasingly delayed and inconsistent. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward and decided to cancel the project. His response afterward was extremely unprofessional, to the point where I ultimately blocked further communication. We ended up hiring another handyman who completed the same work professionally and for nearly 50% less than his quoted pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this handyman to other business owners looking for professionalism, transparency, and reliable communication.

He also retrofitted windows in several rooms, which made a noticeable difference right away. What stands out most is how much he cares. I started calling on them to do basic handyman stuff my husband can't figure out. Real basic things that I'm a little embarrassed we couldn't get done ourselves. No complaints. They come out and take care of whatever may need fixed. Next we needed to fix work that was done by another contractor that I'd never recommend. Not only did they correct everything, they knew people that were experts in areas they would rather not handle. Absolutely no complaints with any of the subs they had come in to do work! They totally reconfigured our guest bath. The place is haunted! They have been out so many times to try and figure out why the bath drips water. Everytime I call they are here to fix it. They are super busy, but if it's a serious problem they drop everything and come running. Water problem is not due to their work, but what originated with the house. Finally they totally cleaned up, repaired, fixed, updated, improved my rental! They did so much more then I thought I needed! Not in a bad way, but in the kindest most observant way possible. I didn't know how bad it really was. They see things that aren't right and fix them! I feel so loved and cared for. The place is spotless and will make the new renters feel so at home! Call them! I promise you will not regret having them do anything from change a light bulb to build your home!!!

Be careful if you use this father & son company…read more Jim (father) doesn't seem to be in good health etc & said he was Handyman for a millionaire for many years. Jim has never been a licensed contractor from my understanding. Jason (son) is probably the licensed one and may be fine to work with directly. Jim boasts being the best in the county. You'll likely hear that if you call. Jim's temperament runs hot & cold. Jim broke my toilet. Fortunately he admitted his mistake & didn't charge me to replace toilet. It took multiple trips to get the correct materials for the toilet replacement. This week we rejected Jim's subcontractors quote for HVAC job as we found someone else we preferred and we have a home warranty for service. Jim became volatile & hostile with me over the phone and by text after I hung up on him for yelling at me inappropriately. Extremely unprofessional. Son Jason didn't follow up with separate estimate and that may be miscommunication with Jim, however Jason was here months ago and looked at what we wanted done but didn't take any notes measurements etc, so I'm not sure how things fell through. Jason was friendly. I have no direct experience with his actual construction work other than lack of follow through with estimate. I don't like to post unfavorable reviews and this may be the only one.
