I have hired them for a number of projects in my home. They are on time, professional and they responsive!! There's nothing worse when you need a job done and you call and they never answer your call or text. These guys are on the ball and answer quickly. They're prices are reasonable and their work is top notch. Shawn and Robert are professional and courteous and they get the job done is the shortest amount of time possible. David at Handyman Advisor just installed my tile on my balcony and installed 8 bi-fold closet doors. My experience with this company has been fantastic from start to finish. I requested a quote from yelp and in a few minutes Corey emailed me back letting me know he can assist with with my job. I liked the way he got in touch with me quick, during the rest of the day 4 more companies got in touch with me but I wanted to use Corey because he seemed honest and the price was fair. They have a flat rate service I choose for handyman for the day. David came to my home a few days prior to the job appointment day to look at the work to make sure it could be done in a day and agreed it could. He came on the agreed time ready to tackle the job. He also picked up the materials from home depot I needed to get the tiles done like the grout, this was a nice plus. The job started at 9am and he was done by 5pm. He came back the next day to set the grout as it needed a day to dry. Everything went smooth and we are happy with end result. I will be using David and Corey for future jobs, thanks guys! read more

I "advise" you to call Anyone else. Shawn supposed to come on Wednesday morning and spend most of the day doing all the projects we discussed. Never showed. Never called. I gave Shawn 2 days....I wondered if he would ever surface. I text his this morning thanking him for blowing me off and wasting my time. His reply "sorry, if it makes you feel any better, I would rather be working for you than this jerk off - I'm stuck in this job ". So whoever has Shawn at his house this week, that's how he feels about you ! Second response to my numerous texts "yeah you're right, I should have reached out". Yes Shawn, you should have reached out. PATHETIC Okay - so now Shawn has replied. Yes, he did message me - begging me to remove my review. Did I reply ? No I did not. I ignored his message , just like he ignored our appointment. Yes, we did set an appointment. Shawn came over to give me an estimate - as he was leaving he said "see you Wednesday morning". Why would he be apologizing if he didn't set an appointment up with me ? Seriously Shawn. Don't make things worse but lying. There is another review here that states you never showed up........ Was I "thrilled" the last time you were here? No I was not. You put house number on the front of my house. They were ridiculously crooked. You said it's the numbers. I said it's not Shawn, please come back and straighten them. You did come back. They are better, but still not straight. You did not use a level - for sure !! You replaced screen on my back patio door. The screen came loose about a week or so after - and I wasn't even living here at the time. So loose just from the wind. You replaced 4 porcelain tiles in my office. Those tiles were all much higher than the rest of the floor. I asked a few guys after and they all said - he put too much mud. He definitely didn't check to make sure it was even with the rest of the floor. You had a guy pressure clean my back patio. Yes a fine job. And you used your blower to blow a few leaves out of my gutter. And you cut some bushes for me and put them in the front yard for the garbage. When you came to give me the estimate, you said "you know I could have remodeled your whole house. Everything I see that you did here, I could have done and I told you - I will beat anyone's prices". Well I didn't call you for the major stuff to remodel because I was NOT thrilled the first time. I called you back again because I had another handyman who didn't show up. And another who couldn't do the work for 3 weeks. The things I trusted you with the second time were easy things. Moving furniture around. Putting shelves together for my garage. 2 smoke detectors. Easy things that didn't need to be straight or could have a problem in the future. Again I WARN before calling you. You only have yourself to be upset with. Not me for speaking the truth. In response to you Shawn...I don't think that you fully understand how important these reviews are or else you would not conduct yourself in such an unprofessional manner. With all due respect did you really think that we would not see what the windows looked like??? The long and short of this story is that you Shawn was hired to caulk 8 windows and you only caulked the bottom of 2 (these are the pics that you sent which is why you got paid). When we got there and saw that there was no caulking on any other windows, we called you and you were supposed to come back, but you never did. If you were a man of your word why did you not come back? The issue is not that the windows are leaking or rotting (which it is not) it is that you did not even apply any caulking to 6 windows. We did not want anything for free we just expected to get what we paid for. I ended up caulking all the windows myself and did a much better job and it's not leaking anymore....thanks This review is to simply warn others to be more cautious when hiring Shawn Safris Handyman Advisor. Did a great job of routing R&L Home Design to me owned and operated by Ron Higer. Fully insured and licensed with great reviews. Saved me a ton of time having to shop for a company to do it. Ron Higer did a fantastic job at 40% less the competition. Ron did a bathroom remodel (2); repainted and replaced baseboards where I had hurricane damage; put in a patio ceiling fan and other carpentry jobs. Been waiting to hang this TV and shelves for months and finally had the opportunity to do it and they were able to schedule me in less than 2 days. He felt the need to attack me, my family, my businesses, etc.. all because he was upset he got a bad review. I was seeing water damage and smelling mildew type of smell in my built in cabinets and hired them to address that among other items. The good is they started the project right away and were responsive while they were on-site. The bad is they told me the issue was addressed then stopped being responsive when the same problem returned a few weeks later. Long story short - I ended up having to pay another company to finish the job and basically paid twice for the same issue which is unfortunate. They treated one wall for water damage, told me specifically there was no water damage on the other wall and didn't need to address - when there was in fact water damage on the other wall. It would have been much more cost effective to treat both walls for water damage at the same time rather than having to treat one wall at a time and pay people to remove and reinstall all the built ins twice now plus all the additional time I've had to deal without an office working from home. The frustrating part is they had removed the baseboard on that other wall (they actually didn't even bother to reattach the baseboard and left it loose against the wall) but the wall had black spots from mold and evidence of water damage. I wish I had thought to check on that myself but live and learn. After many many texts when the issue came back, he eventually came out looked and said to follow back up with him once the built ins were removed again and said he would see what could be done. I texted twice after then to follow up and he didn't respond at all. One of the earlier excuses for not responding was they had a bigger job to deal with and etc. so not sure if that was the same reason or if there was a different one but at some point I had to move on and just hire someone else to handle it. read more

I hired Handyman Advisor and consulted with Corey about 1 year ago regarding the installation of a laminate wood floor at my home in Boynton Beach FL. Corey subcontracted out the job to individuals that were not professional, and did not perform the job as expected. Upon first inspection of the work, I noticed gaps in the floor, uneven cuts, and damage to my kitchen wall where appliances were moved. Additionally, the subs left my home and garage filled with trash. When I contacted Corey to discuss the issues, he proceeded to use vulgarity over the phone and stated to stop wasting his time, he was a family man, and the floors would settle over time. Now it has been a year, and the issues have progressed to the point where the floors have to be redone. I am extremely upset and displeased with the lack of professionalism shown by Handyman Advisor. Absolutely Wonderful Repair and Carpentry! We had a side door that had some water damage and rot on it. I had considered having the whole door replaced, but I knew a lot of companies wouldn't touch a door with water damage. In fact, when we purchased our front door from a local Home Improvement store, one of the first questions they asked us was whether there was any water damage, and they said they couldn't touch it if there were. So not knowing who to call, I contacted Handyman Advisor and submitted some pictures to ask if they could handle this type of problem and advise on how to fix it because it wasn't just our door jam...our door was damaged as well in the area that touched this part of the door jam. Corey said his company could take care of it, came by my house to look at it, and suggested how it could be repaired at minimal cost. The end result is even better than I imagined, and I wish I hadn't waited so long to get it taken care of. I thought it would be such a stressful thing to have repaired. If I had known how easy Handyman Advisor would make this repair, I would have done it sooner! They will be painting our home soon too! read more

Absolutely the best home service I have ever used. Corey and everyone he has sent to my home have been timely in their work, knowledgeable, and professional in every way. They have done small handyman jobs (furniture assembly, etc...) and larger construction work.
