What I value most is that I can depend on him and fully trust him to handle projects properly, especially since I manage the property remotely. He communicates well, follows through on what he says he will do, and gives me confidence that the job will be done right. It's difficult to find someone with that combination of skill, reliability, and trustworthiness.

I hired this handyman to repair a closet shelving system that had pulled away from the wall which…read morewas being used for ordinary clothing storage and was not overloaded beyond normal household use. He assured me that the repair, including the anchors he installed, would support the weight of the clothing and items normally stored in the closet. Unfortunately, only about a week after the repair was completed, the entire system failed again and collapsed. The shelving and clothing ended up on the floor, creating a significant mess and forcing us to empty the closet once more. When I contacted him, he stated that the anchors he installed had held and that the real issue was that I needed an entirely new closet system. However, this was not what I was told when the repair was performed. Had I been advised from the outset that the existing system could not be safely supported or that a replacement was necessary, I would have appreciated that honesty and made a different decision. What is most disappointing is that despite the repair failing after only a week, he refused to return and evaluate the situation without charging an additional service fee. I understand that not every repair is guaranteed forever. However, when a repair fails within days and the customer relied on the handyman's representation that it would support the intended load, I believe standing behind the work and at least reassessing the situation is reasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. **UPDATE: With respect to Mike's response, many of the implications are categorically false, namely, that what is remaining of my closet is still usable and "hanging". The anchors screws, and brackets have bent and are misshaped. He also indicated fixed my toilet for "free" when, in fact, he actually exacerbated the issue and spent no more than a minute looking at the toilet and twisting the float and fill valve. So the contention that he was being generous with his time is unfounded. With respect to the text messages he's alluding to, admittedly, he did indicate he did not warranty his work, but also claimed "I'll also say this, I've never hung any shelving in somebody's called me back later and said that it came down". Moreover, "I can tell you that it's gonna go in with anchors at hold 220 pounds each and there's probably gonna be three or four so outside of that hopefully it lasts a long time". That said, given the estimated weight of the closet was no more than 150 pounds, that was less than 35% of its intended total weight, which should've held it without incident. Moreover, it's only been one week as opposed to two since he performed the job Finally, the mere fact that he wouldn't return to audit the job or two provide structured guidance and repair onsite as a gesture of Goodwill is woefully inadequate.

If you really want to know whether someone is trustworthy, don't ask me, ask my cat…read more My cat dislikes pretty much everyone. Friends, family, delivery drivers, innocent bystanders... all are viewed with varying levels of suspicion. But for some reason, he likes Milton. He actually hangs around when Milton is here instead of disappearing into witness protection. Honestly, that's probably the strongest endorsement I can give. Milton is knowledgeable, kind, patient, reliable, and quite the character. He's the kind of person who can fix almost anything while keeping you entertained with stories and conversation. At this point, he's done so much work for us that I couldn't possibly list it all. He's replaced interior doors and door knobs, installed ceiling fans, replaced a water heater, mounted TVs and magically hid all the wires, hung those annoying barn doors that looked simple on Pinterest but definitely weren't, and tackled countless other projects around our home. No matter the job, Milton shows up with a great attitude, does quality work, and somehow makes the whole process stress-free. We absolutely love Milton and are so glad we found him. If you're looking for a handyman who's skilled, trustworthy, and apparently approved by even the most judgmental cat on the planet, Milton is your guy. Highly recommend!

Mark was suppose to come this afternoon, but due to weather he called and asked to come early (mine was an indoor job, and it was raining, so his other job had to wait). That was more than agreeable with me. Mark and his helper showed up on time, they were friendly and respectful. They got right to their work. The job was a bit more complex than either he or I had expected and took a bit longer, but he powered through. When it came time to settle up, I was anticipating him saying the job was bigger and the price had gone up, but he is an honest man, and quoted the agreed upon price. That is rare today. The work is done, it looks great. I would highly recommend Mark and The Whole 9 Handyman Services.

My experience with this company is in different stages. When I first met Hugo, he was very nice and…read moreaccomodative. However he cancelled twice for the evaluation of my project. When he initially came to evaluate my project, which was to remove and replace some wood siding of my fence and around the eves of the condo, I have new gutters that I had replaced a couple of years ago. I specifically told him that I did not want the gutters painted. The gutters are bronze in color. After I approved the price, he started on March 11, 2026. Besides the rain delaying the extensive time it took, it went well. However, Hugo did not properly supervise the project. All of the wood siding repairs, replacement and replacing the gate to my fence it went well. The issue came when the painting began. He seems to only have one painter, or that's what he lead me to believe. After a few days of his painter being on the job, when I came home from work, I immediately saw that he had painted the gutters beige. I contacted Hugo and alerted him; he enitially disputed that I did not tell him not to paint the gutters, but later recanted. When his painter came to repaint the gutters, he painted them brown, which is the color of the trim. I contacted him again and he corrected it. Shortly after that event, I had the front of my front door painged beige; he took one and a half hours to prep the door and two hours to paint the door. After he left, I saw that the overspray was on my white wall and the floor. I contacted Hugo again to let him know. I supplied him the white paint to paint the areas of overspray. Then I noticed that he painted one side of the trim bronze, so I had to contact Hugo again. This is when he becane defensive and whined about the time his (one) painter had taken to address all of the valid issues I had. Finally I contacted Hugo today, sending him pictures of the color descrepency of the two walls with the trim. Again he whined about that and he said he was done essentially with my dissatisfaction. This is why I gave Hand2Hand an unfavorable review. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for, and I would not recommend his company, considering the service, or lack there was.
