I hired them, Matthew is a very hardworking person but, after the building department inspected the work a code violation was found on their work. I was told that, if I wanted the inspection to pass, I had to pay almost a thousand dollars more, otherwise they will not do the job. My questions are: - they don't know the electrical code în order to do a correct estimate in order the inspection to pass? -It is correct that I have to pay more, for their mistakes? I have to mention also that I signed the estimate in some electronic files and I asked to be added some comnentsthat I had, related to the price do not be changed. I asked for the files to be sent on email, and even I insisted to see my comments in these files but I never got the files with my comments.

As soon as Brian walked in, he diagnosed the issue in about five minutes, it turned out the problem was actually FPL's fault and the meter needed to be changed. Brian clearly explained what was going on and confirmed that nothing in my house was causing the issue. He was professional, calm, and clearly very knowledgeable. To my surprise, he wouldn't even charge me for diagnosing the problem. That level of honesty is rare and deeply appreciated. This company is honest, quick, and truly looks out for the customer. On the day of the appointment the guys were a no show. My wife called up and got a hold of someone who had no idea about the appointment and in general sounded very confused about the schedule. He said he'd call us back with an update but never got back to us. We called one more time and got the voicemail again. At that point I just gave up. One star for Perfect Electric. And, in doing it the installer was on time, polite, cleaned up the mess, personable, etc. The price bid by "My Electrical Genie" was offered right away - they were the first to respond to my listing. And they responded with a price. Others didn't respond with a price even though my project was very specific, simple, and with pictures! The price was good in my opinion and notably far below the rip-off price proposed by another. I thought that getting the low price meant I wouldn't get the best of options for the install. I figured the "swag" wire coming from over the door sill would have to remain. But he got the wire hidden above the ceiling with just one hole that he patched up perfectly! I figured I'd have to repaint the ceiling, but he said, "Maybe not." It dried perfectly white like the rest of my ceiling! I don't have to repaint. I can't see where the hole he made was! I've owned my home for over two decades, and this has been the best project ever.

No language indemnifies them for damaging your property or additional fees not clearly stated in the contract in full. 5. Clearly understand when the job will be completed; if it's not completed within 48 hours of the agreement, liquidated damages will apply, and breach of contract, those damages should be painful $1000 for every day the contract is not fulfilled. 6. When the inspector is at your home, make sure if you are not familiar with the components, for example, a surge protector, ask the inspector if the surge protector is installed correctly and to point out where it's located. 7. Magically, everything falls into place, and the inspector signs off on all contracted work. Ask the inspector for his credentials or business card.
