I hired Dmitri (HandyMaestro) to rebuild my balcony railings and replace my polycarbonate porch covering. He is a joy to work with and was able to accommodate my needs and schedule. I had to coordinate the balcony railings work with the waterproofing subcontractor. Dmitri was able to promptly install the railing posts once the waterproofing folks removed the balcony flooring to repair some water damage. I was also struggling to select the materials for the railings and Dmitri provided me with different options and color samples. He was very patient and understanding when I changed my mind a couple of times on the material selection. His price was fair, and I am very satisfied with his workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend him or hire him again. In fact, my sister has already hired him for some porch covering work based on my recommendation. read more

Dmitrii did an AMAZING job on our 70-ft. stainless steel railing. I talked to 3 or 4 other companies to get quotes, but felt Dmitri was the most professional, creative and personable, and also had the best feel for the job. I felt, "This guy knows what he's doing." He did a great (and quick) job on the demo and removal of our 20-year old railing (a big, clunky good and steel railing), and then worked his magic on a new stainless steel and wire railing in just 2 1/2 days. He's incredibly hard-working, efficient and takes pride in his work, and the railing he constructed is beautifully put together, rock solid, and looks amazing. read more

Dimitrii was absolutely the best! Built a wonderful redwood deck to replace an ugly broken tile deck. It took a lot more work than anticipated since the stucco had to be completely replaced, but Dimitrii worked through it all and kept us informed of what needed to be done. We could not be happier with the deck and we chose a stain for the deck that highlighted the redwood. Communication during the process was fantastic and I would 100% recommend Dimitrii to build your new deck. read more

Dimitri converted a gate with a drop bar into a fully functioning door with smart lock. He put in a post, sealed the gap with the wall, welded a gate box and painted. Everything looks and works great! Smart locks are very sensitive to alignment and Dimitri really knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend him! read more

After removing a row of cypress trees, we needed to find someone who could add on and extend an existing fence in our backyard. For over a year we tried to find someone who was honest, reliable, and knowledgable. We had a lot of builders who came out and never followed through ....big waste of time. We finally found Dmitrii, a breath of fresh air. Very happy with the work he did. We will gladly use his services again. read more

Dmitri built a 30'*20' deck, stairs and replaced a window with a sliding patio door for us. See attached pictures for the previous deck and stairs and the new deck, stairs and sliding door. Overall his work looks excellent and we are happy to recommend him for other jobs. He completed the job within budget and the price was completely resonable (much better than some quotes I got from other Yelp and Thumbtack contractors). Dmitri is an artist. He took his time to plan and did not rush to finish the job. He did majority of the work himself including framing the entire deck, created a nice design while installing the planks. He seems to enjoy his work and that shows in quality of his work product. I should also mention that he is respectful and easy to work with. We look forward to working with him again. read more

One of the hardest workers out there. These guys are amazing! Dimitri and Alex are very professional and always answers their phones. Very good with wood work; structural, cosmetic, functional... Top notch perfectionist. They installed a new balcony deck, reinstalled railings, installed doors, screen, support beams, paint, stucco, drywall, and textured. read more

Our challenging deck project with HandyMaestro was a huge success. Our old deck was very damaged but also very integrated to the structure of the house, making the project particularly complex. Dmitri moved forward thoughtfully, and addressed all the surprises which old houses present along the way. Even with some unexpected scope changes along the way, Dmitri was careful to stay as close to our original budget as possible. The new deck looks gorgeous. When it was finished, we were sad to see Dmitri go. He's a great guy, easy to work with, and the perfect carpenter for your project. Look no further. Choose HandyMaestro. read more

The best! Dmitrii did an excellent job with my lighting fixture. I only needed one socket replaced that I couldn't replace by myself. All other electricians refused to come out for such a small job. HandyMaestro - Great Job!!! - Fences & Gates Near Me - Glendale , California

Dmitrii and Oscar did an amazing job repairing and staining my aging deck, patio, and two staircases. They also repaired my two custom garage doors and repainted them as well. Both jobs came out looking picture perfect and they were a pleasure to work with. I'm also planning on hiring them to extend one of my fences and do some refreshing up of my main outdoor entryway. I can't wait to work with them again! read more

HandyMaestro completed several beautiful projects at our newly purchased craftsman home in a professional and timely fashion. Dmitri is a master carpenter with the imagination and expertise to work with the many special quirks of a classic older home. We now have an accessible deck, front yard fencing, driveway gate and custom shelving, all lovely and appearing as if they've always been here. We'll hope to work with HandyMaestro on more projects in the future. read more

I called HandyMaestro to install a fence to separate the main house from ADU that was recently built and to install a gate in the existing iron fence. He arrived on time, took measurements and gave me a very reasonable quote, and suggested ways to use the existing iron fence to create the gate to save money. The iron gate looks perfect as if it always existed with the original structure. The vinyl white fencing is very well built and turned out very nice. On the side, I had a dysfunctional latch on the pool fence gate which they fixed for me and adjusted the pool fence as a bonus. I found their company to be knowledgeable, honest and reliable. read more

Dmitrii was the 1st one to answer my quote and the 1st one to show up. My gate needed a lot of work. And we needed the gate fixed asap! He installed new motor, new wheels, etc. He answered all my questions and even went above and beyond on some stuff I forgot to mention. We are very happy with the work he has done. Highly recommended! A+!! read more

I'm happy to be Dmitrii's first reviewer. Today he did several jobs for me: replaced two outdoor electrical outlets, replaced a broken dimmer switch, repaired a ceiling fan whose light I could not turn off, and mounted an outdoor TV. He was prompt, tidy, and efficient. He communicated well before, during, and after the job. We reviewed my long list of broken stuff in and around the house and he helped me organize and prioritize the jobs. I will most definitely be asking him to come back and work on the rest of my list as soon as possible. read more

Dimitri built our 16' x 14' redwood Deck in our backyard. He is a fantastic carpenter, but not only that. He communicated with us about what days he would work and always showed when he said he would, he finished the job on time and his craftsmanship is outstanding. By far the best experience I've had with construction. We are already booking Dimitri for other projects. He is absolutely the most reliable woodworker out there. read more

Dmitrii is world-class. He built a custom gate for our new home with the best materials and a sound structure. We are so happy with how the gate turned out and quality of it. His business out beats competitors in terms of price, timeline and communication. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Dmitrii and his team! We had to replace a 3.5' fence with a new 115' long, 6' high fence and locking gate. We reached out to several contractors who either did not respond or gave astronomical quotes. As soon as we met Dmitrii and spoke about the job, we knew we had the right person before the quote even came. He is personable and told us about his commitment to delivering quality work which gave us high confidence in him. His communication and the options he gave us for lumber before the project started was excellent and felt very collaborative. The work he delivered was over and above our expectations and the fence looks better than we could have imagined. We also added a garbage enclosure to the main fence and an additional matching gate at the other side of our house. Dmitrii's attention to detail is also excellent and he wanted everything to be perfect, not just for us but for his own commitment to delivering an amazing final product. We constantly have people stopping and asking about our fence and he will be the first person I call and first person I'd recommend for any projects in the future! read more

We worked with HandyMaestron on a new fence at our home. Dmitrii was amazing to work with. He was fast to respond with a quote and started work right away! We have had this deck that needed to be p-washed and stained. I was going to do it when I went to LA to visit next month, but I decided I would rather enjoy time with family. Put out the request on Yelp and connected with Dimitrii. He told me that he was busy, but could probably get to it by end of September. I sent him some pictures, and he gave me a ballpark budget. I told him it sounded reasonable and put us on his schedule. It turned out that he was able to fit us into his schedule last week. He completed the work in 2 days and it looks great. Very satisfied customer. Will use him again, and totally recommend to others! read more

Very efficient and helpful with restaining a wood front deck. Straight and to the point communication, as well, which we appreciated.

I hired Dimitri this summer to repair, upgrade, treat and paint an existing deck in preparation for the arrival of a new hot tub. He did an excellent job and actually made a few adjustments and improvements we hadn't really discussed but, based on his skill set and understanding of my needs, made perfect sense.
