I had beautiful (and safe!) railings installed by Dmitri and I couldn't happier with the result. He was recommended by a contractor who preferred I use Dmitri rather than bid himself because he knew I'd love Dmitri's work. He was super communicative and fast and made the process incredibly easy with fair pricing. Would definitely use again if needed! read more

Dimitri was so great to work with! I had recently moved into a new house and wanted a side gate installed to keep my dogs in the backyard. He walked me through my options and helped me select the best material and style. He scheduled an inspection to walk me through things and get a quote together and then scheduled the installation. He and his team arrived on time, walked me through what they'd be doing, and then got to work. The job took all day but they stayed until it was done. The gate is super secure, looks great, and was very high quality. Highly recommend him for your project! read more

Handy Maestro did a great job for us. Dimitrii gave us a clear, fair estimate after taking the time to explain what would need to be done and asking all the right questions to be sure he knew what we wanted. He and his crew showed up when they said they would and worked hard and efficiently and built us a beautiful new fence. We had a bit of conflict with a neighbor, and Dimitrii handled it with great diplomacy, defusing the tension and leaving him happy. I can recommend Handy Maestro to anyone needing a fence or gates; they know what they are doing and are reliable and reasonably priced. read more

We worked with Dimitrii to replace a house-adjacent wood fence as a part of fire hardening the exterior of our home. The aluminum fence and gate he installed is fantastic, with good thickness aluminum and excellent paint quality. Dimitrii is very easy to coordinate with (especially via text, which I appreciate) and he took time to think about possible issues with sewer, drain, and sprinkler lines before he started digging. read more

Dmetrii did a great job, and very quickly. I would recommend this business to anyone looking to remove old fencing or install a new fence.

Had a great experience working with Handy Maestro in Monterey Park. Dmitri helped us remove an old chain link fence and replaced it with a beautiful new vinyl fence. He was super responsive, reasonably priced, and really knew what he was doing especially with the slope in our yard, which wasn't the easiest to work with. He even built a custom metal gate. The whole thing looks clean and solid. Definitely recommend him if you need fencing work done. read more

Dimitrii and his crew did an amazing job on my third floor deck. He is very detail oriented and patient in explaining to me what needed to be done. He worked within my budget and was always on the lookout for deals for better materials. During the project, there was an anticipated rainstorm- he and his guys made an extra trip out to the house to waterproof and seal up the open spots, very conscientious guy. He was willing to take on extra projects for him that he was able to easily do ( adding a gutter, repairing a vent, redoing siding on the house), but he's really a master at deck work. If you live on a hillside, he knows how to navigate complex situations because he's built many of the decks in the likes of Mount Washington and South Pasadena. Highly recommend, very responsive and reasonable. read more

Not sure what I can say because the before and after photos really say it all... Dmitrii did an amazing job turning a portion of our bland concrete patio in a beautiful seating area. He made a few different wood and vinyl recommendations, and we ultimately went with redwood because it's beautiful, durable, and tough against termites. When it came time to finish the "deck," we were indecisive on a stain so he brought a few options over and left them for us to think on. After some back and forth, we settled on a waterproof clear coat that was his first suggestion (obviously). He also added decorative trim around our pergola post which really added a nice touch. We finished the deck a month ago and area already having him back in the coming weeks to help with some additional projects. Reasonable pricing, great communication. I really can't recommend Dmitrii enough! read more

I had HandyMaestro build a fence around my backyard garden and it's turned out wonderfully! Dimtrii was great to work with from start to finish. We needed to replace the old front-porch railings of a house in South Pasadena because of termite damage. HandyMaestro provided the best -- that is, clear and concise -- description of what they proposed to do. And I must say we are very pleased by how well the project turned out. Dmitrii did an excellent job! He even offered suggestions for small alterations he might do to make the railings look even better. His idea to add solar light caps, for example, was a totally new concept to us -- but subtle enough that we decided to go with it. Yes, we are very pleased with Dmitrii's professionalism and work product. We won't hesitate to recommend this company! read more

We have a redwood deck that was falling apart and badly needed replacement or repair. I called Handy Maestro and Dmitrii was out to give an estimate the following day. He gave us several options (replace with redwood, replace with trex or repair the damaged areas). We felt his estimates were reasonable and after giving it some thought we decided to go with the repair since we were on a time crunch. They would replace the damaged boards, sand the remaining boards and stain the entire floor. He was back at the house the following day with his partner and they were able to complete the job in two days. The project involved a bit more work after we realized more boards needed replacing. The additional charge was more than reasonable considering the labor involved. Needles to say, we are very happy with the final outcome and the craftsmanship provided. read more

We hired Dmitrii to install decking material on the front of our house and were very satisfied with the job he did! He obviously knows his craft, was quick, and reasonably priced! Upon completion of the job, there was one minor imperfection that I noticed (that my husband didn't even notice) but I was willing to overlook given the quality of the rest of his work. We hired HandyMaestro to install cable railing and horizontal fencing on top or our garage rooftop patio. We couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
