(I like that it was a flat fee versus an hour fee as some of the other places were quoting me as it allowed me to budget better). Robert's communication throughout the entire time was phenomenal. He reached out the day before and an hour before to confirm the appointment, arrived on time, and while completing the service was communicative and answered questions that I had. Very friendly guy. Made me feel comfortable which is important as a single female. While completing the work he was very efficient and he covered up appliances to make sure nothing got damaged and cleaned up all areas. When the job was done, he made sure that I was happy with it, which I was!!! He worked quickly and efficiently! He was also so kind to take a look at another unrelated minor issue in the home that I brought up to him and repaired it for me free of cost. We have hired Robert several times now for various handyman projects because we are extremely happy with his workmanship, professionalism, dependability, honestly and his fair prices plus he's an all around decent human being, which is a hard quality to find today. Robert and Austin installed a new 2x4 and even painted it to match the current color and rehung the gate. On another occasion they installed multiple security cameras around our home and did a quality job. We also hired Robert to clean our dryer vent at a very fair price. Recently I had a tile come loose from my roof and even though Robert doesn't normally repair roofs, he was kind enough to secure the roof tile and made sure the other tiles were secure as well, even making a run to the hardware store as I didn't have enough "product" on hand. Most recently, Robert worked with my schedule and installed a new ceiling fan on a Saturday and while he was here he also replaced a tub overflow gasket (I had the part) but unfortunately the old screw was too short and he went above and beyond by running to the big box store to buy a new plate with a longer screw to ensure the gasket fit correctly. I needed to replace my garbage disposal which was leaking water under the sink. I fix many things myself and had gone to a local plumbing supply store but they were out of the disposal I needed. I bought one from Lowe's online and then got estimates from local plumbers. Handy4Home (Robert Hunter) gave me an online estimate. I hired Robert because I had hoped to find someone that could fix other home projects that I couldn't do, at a reasonable price, and also, he said he was completely Covid 19 vaccinated. He was scheduled to come on a Wednesday. I appreciated that he was able to come on a Monday because of a cancellation. He arrived with his apprentice/assistant, Austin, who seemed very nice, but basically, Robert instructed Austin on how to install the garbage disposal. Robert was on the phone (taking business calls?) going back and forth to his truck and pretty much ignored me (who always is interested in seeing how projects are done and if they are done properly). Really didn't know if it had been installed properly. After the job was done (about 45 minutes), Robert said to me, "OK, Hon. That'll be $125." I find calling a woman "hon", unprofessional and sexist. In hindsight, I wish I had called a plumber I had used previously or had Lowe's do the installation for $99.
