I walked in to find a gentleman responding to a 1 star review, and left wondering how someone had arrived at that conclusion. I normally don't leave reviews. But it bothered me so much to see that, so here I am. Reading that review now before I write this one, I don't see a trace of truth in what Nick noticed. Maybe Nick knows a competitor. Phillip felt genuine, knowledgeable, understated. He listened well, asked lots of questions to help diagnose the issue, and made me feel welcome. He also fixed my bike's creak on the spot. I've been to so many bike shops. Enough to know how common it is to deal with young kids (and sometimes even adults) who are still trying to figure out who they are. This is not one of those shops. Phillips not a bro. He's a great person, and an even better mechanic. I'm definitely coming back to Pink Puffin.

I had recently got back into cycling and bought a new bike. He evaluated everything from my shoes to my posture and related my cycling performance and positioning to swimming (my go-to exercise). He refit my bike, added a saddle and adjusted my cleats. I was more comfortable in my bike over 7 days and 545 miles than I had previously been in 50-70 mile rides. Shoulder pain, stiffness, back ache, all gone. I can't recommend Ari strongly enough-he worked miracles in making adjustments that definitely improved my comfort and performance.

It was just a simple seat raise but the stem was a bit rusted and difficult to move so he said he'd lubricate it and do it in the next few days. He then proceeded to keep my bike for THREE entire MONTHS with almost no communication. I was so frustrated at the end of the first month (let alone the third)...I just wanted to get my bike back. I emailed the shop every few weeks, at first asking for a status update, and then just asking for my bike back. The owner took many weeks to reply, was terse in all his responses and I genuinely began to worry I would never see my bike again. Three months to raise a seat is ridiculous (especially with such terrible communication in-between), and especially after I had paid so much money)

He was very knowledgeable about his work, and was able to elaborate on the working parts of my bike to me. He charges $88 for routine maintenance, and only accepts cash.
