I forgot to get pics of each of my hand rolls but I did the set of 6 and I thought it was such a great deal. I'm so happy we have a hand roll place in eastvale that actually tastes great. The service was great and our server was nice and super quick. As soon as we would finish a roll he'd already have our next roll prepared. It's a cute spot even for a date or catching up. It's located inside the food-hall so it's perfect. The seaweed stays crispy rather than getting soggy which is perfect.

6 Handroll Set with Miso Soup & Seaweed Salad ($34)

Handroll by Zeppin is located inside the TAWA Market Hall (Cravings by 99 Ranch) in Eastvale, just south of the 60 at the Cantù-Galleano exit. I ordered the 6 Handroll Set with Miso Soup and Seaweed Salad ($34), which came with Toro, Bay Scallop, Crab, Salmon, Yellowtail and Lobster. I also added 3 Eel Handrolls ($5.75 each). The miso soup was delicious and I loved the fresh mushrooms in it. The seaweed salad was fresh and they have plenty. The handrolls were delicious, especially the eel (unagi). The place is clean and they have several chairs around this "bar" style restaurant. The food hall itself has many seating throughout, if you don't want to dine in front of the staff. Overall, I loved the quality of the fish and especially loved the miso soup. The service was great and I recommend this to anyone looking for fresh handrolls.

Came here the other day around lunch time. The entire food spot was pretty empty but wanted to try this place that sits in the middle. Got the 6 Roll deal, im not a salmon fan so they double the albacore for me. When it came to the shell fish options of the set, for me it was a bit too much mayo or kewpie mayo for my taste but still rating it higher for the seaweed salad and service as well as the ratio of rice to meat. Also im used to my sunumono coming with stick crab and not just being pickled cucumbers on their own. Overall it was good, not exciting but good.

To Garet and the Cosmo Dining Group team, and for anyone reading these reviews, I'm genuinely worried about people getting sick. At this location, we watched staff handle phones, the register, cash, and other surfaces, then go straight back to making handrolls with the same gloves, with no visible handwashing or glove changes the entire time. Our water cups were dirty, the sashimi didn't taste fresh, and the "crab" hand roll tasted like imitation/frozen crab even though the menu made it sound like real crab and properly prepared. For a place serving raw fish, that's alarming. After posting my review, I went back and read more of the recent 1-star reviews for this restaurant. Over months, different customers describe the exact same things: dirty items, cross-contamination, gloves used for payment and then food, and almost no handwashing. Your replies keep saying this is "unacceptable" and will be fixed "immediately," yet the same issues keep showing up in new reviews. What worries me even more is that when I looked at your other concept, Boiling World, I found multiple reviews over several years also mentioning dirty utensils, unsanitary food prep, and poor cleanliness. That makes it feel less like one store having a bad night and more like a deeper problem with training, standards, and priorities across the whole company. This isn't about a free meal or being picky. When you serve raw fish and shared hotpot, poor hygiene and dirty equipment can lead to real foodborne illness or parasites. I truly hope you'll look in the mirror as a company and choose to invest in real food-safety training, strict hygiene enforcement, and honest menu practices--not just polished public apologies. Because of what I saw myself and what so many other guests have reported at your locations, I do not feel safe eating here or at any of your other restaurants right now. I'm writing this so other customers can make an informed choice, and in the hope that you take this seriously before someone ends up seriously ill.

4/5/25 Woohoo! Fine grub with friends!

4/5/25 Gathered here with a few Friends with Hubby, amazing hand rolls & perfect atmosphere to chill & grub. The crew at Hand roll by Zeppin are attentive & welcoming, friendly. The setting is open, bar seating so you are able to view how your delectable hand rolls are made. It is one of the many new food stalls at Cravings (Eastvale). Parking is free & shared by other businesses at this location. The set menu enticed me: crab, lobster, bay scallop, toro, yellow tail & salmon hand rolls, which included seaweed salad & miso soup as appetizers ($34). The Toro carpaccio was phenomenal ($9.50) . It is recommended to eat each hand roll fresh, as each one is created at a good pace. Usually, seaweed salad tastes too briny fmr but the one here is amazingly fresh & tasted great (no off putting brininess). It was a delightful experience & would recommend this place for lunch or dinner & for hanging out.

I'd missed out on checking this place out with some friends a couple weeks ago, but being in the area today, I decided to go ahead and check it out for myself! Cute, quaint little sushi bar, with all bar seating so you can watch your food being made. I wasn't greeted right away, and walked around to the other side where I asked if they were open and told they were, and to sit anywhere I wanted. I was given a menu and pencil to make my selections. After I filled it out and turned it in, I was informed they were out of the toro carpaccio. I was pretty bummed about that because my friends said that was a must try. I was able to get the salmon belly carpaccio, the yellowtail carpaccio and a crab handroll. Both carpaccio dishes were excellent! I'll definitely have to come back to try the toro carpaccio. The crab handroll was tasty as well, but I'm honestly not the biggest fan of handrolls in general, so if that's not your thing, this may not be the best option for you. I washed everything down with a Mexican Sprite. The price was reasonable for a nice lunch and my transaction was completed quickly. I would definitely come here again.

Handroll located inside the Food Hall is an extension of Zeppin. I met some friends here and glad we tried this new place! The concept is new to me. You sit at a bar, facing the sushi chefs. Getting their attention can be hard at times. You get your rolls one at a time. They place it on a wooden tray. So fancy! I ordered individual handrolls and an appetizer. The toro, eel and salmon handrolls were ok. I felt the rice overpowered the fish. I also ordered the scallops hand roll. That was by far my favorite Handroll! The scallops were tender. The appetizer Toro Carpaccio comes out with a large circular ceramic bowl. The presentation was fire! The toro was buttery. The salmon roe on top was divine. Plus they added edible flowers on it. Wow! I would skip the handrolls and just get the carpaccio next time.

Easy place to find as it is inside the food hall next to 99 Ranch in Eastvale. It was pretty empty as I went on a Monday around 4pm. I was helped right away once I was seated. The gentleman gave me the menu to order. It's pretty self explanatory. Fill out / check off what you'd like to order. I ordered miso soup, sunomono (pickled cucumbers), and salmon belly carpaccio as my appetizer and the 4-set Handroll which comes with salmon, yellowtail, bay scallops, and crab Handroll. Miso soup: I really enjoyed the miso soup as it is different from any normal miso soup you would get at a Japanese restaurant. Their miso soup hand your typical tofu but also had mushrooms (beech mushrooms I think?). It was very flavorful and had good umami. Sunomono: This has a refreshing and tangy flavor. It's healthy and gave that crunch factor I needed as part of my meal. Salmon belly carpaccio: Slices of salmon belly that has a little bit of tangy taste but full of flavor. It has a yuzu taste to it and it is topped with tamago and micro greens. I love salmon, so I really enjoyed this dish. Handrolls: The handrolls were delicious. The filling of fish to rice ratio was to my liking. I loved the salmon and bay scallops. My only negative is the chef was fast in making and giving me my rolls. Other Handroll bars I have been to usually wait til you finish your handrolls before handing you your next one (mostly because you need to eat it right away or the texture of the nori will get soft and chewy whereas it's still crunchy when you get it right away). I didn't really get much communication service from my sushi chef, but the other gentleman was nice enough to check on me & see if I needed anything toward the end of my meal. The ambiance is chill. It's a bar seating so it wasn't busy when I went, but I'm sure it gets busy on weekends.

My rating is mostly based on the taste and atmosphere from this handroll bar is compared to its predecessor. The new team working here were super attentive and nice, but to be honest they look like they didn't want to be there. The most emotion I got was when they thought they skipped a roll for us (They didn't and they were super cute about it). Other than that one moment, it felt like they were just on autopilot. It's not just a one time thing, we pass by multiple times and they seemed to feel zoned out each time. Compared to the old crew who worked there, the old crew had a lot of fun working with each other. Another difference I didn't really like about the change in the menu is while they still give you delicious handrolls, it was weird to bite into the tuna and salmon and find yourself just eating them in a paste version. Usually salmon or tuna are cut into cubes before being rolled up, but this place makes them into a paste to slab onto the middle. It felt weird to not chew the filling. We also watched them make it by scooping up rice straight from the cooker, so it didn't have that slightly sweet taste like the hand rolls previously here. It was just straight rice from the cooker that wasn't seasoned, which doesn't help when there's mostly rice in the roll now. I will say though the scallop, crab and lobster were the best rolls in the combo we chose and were well worth it because they actually had chunks in there and were creamy enough to supplement the plain rice. Salmon belly carpaccio I'd also recommend since it had a nice zesty kick to it and was very refreshing. Overall, it was okay. It's not as good as its predecessor and doesn't really stand out as a handroll bar. But it does give you the satisfaction if you are really craving handrolls and is located in a food hall so you don't have to wander around much after for dessert.

A girlfriend and I had a great lunch date here!! - This location is a stem off of the full sushi restaurant in the same plaza. It is a counter inside of the Crave Food hall. - The service was good, although the sushi maker/server got there a little after the 11 am opening time. So we had to wait a bit. - we ordered a sashimi app, and cucumber salad. Then we each had the 5 roll combo for $30. The fish was fresh and delicious. I'd definitely go back. If you're a hand roll fan, this will hit the spot.

I recently visited Handroll by Zeppin in the Crave Food Hall in eastvale California. I have never had a handroll so I was game to try something new . You know what? It was very tasty! I love sushi and now I love hand rolls. The service was friendly and fast. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and support this business.

Overall, a great spot for handrolls. My wife and I love handrolls especially like places where they serve you at the bar. After coming to handroll by zeppin, I can definitely say that it is almost on par with the other handroll goliaths like Kazunori and Rol. The area is definitely new. This is located in a food hall right next to 99 Ranch and has a lot of other dining spots in the whole plaza. It's so cool to see how much Eastvale is growing. The staff were super nice and were very sociable, even telling us some of the good spots to eat in the area. For the handrolls, we ordered the $30 for 6. They all tasted great and the rolls came out quickly. The rice does come out warm with the crispy nori. However, I do wish they would add some vinegar to make it sushi rice instead of regular rice. Otherwise, this would have been a 5/5. The food hall was pretty empty for a lunch on a Sunday. It was clean so we do appreciate that. If you are from Riverside, this is probably the closest place to some legit handrolls.

I've never been to a Handroll place before so this was my first time and now I'm afraid another spot won't top it. Eddie was the one that prepared our food & his service was amazing! We got the Zeppin set menu, which came with seaweed salad, miso soup & 6 different handrolls. The salmon, eel & snow crab are a definite favorite in my opinion. It's located inside the cravings food hall so after you eat, you could totally grab some dessert near by. Definitely will be back & I hope this place gets the recognition it deserves!

I ended up ordering spicy edamame, vegetable egg rolls, veggie rolls, tempura veggie rolls, and vegetable yakisoba. My sister, who's a meat eater, ordered calamari, California rolls, beef fried rice, beef yakisoba, and a new Korean bbq dish that wasn't on the regular menu, but there was a picture of it on the wall by our table. In addition, we each also got a bowl of miso soup and a small salad that came free of charge with our meal, which I appreciate since sushi rolls by themselves don't really fill me up. Everything tasted good and was filling and even now after eating some of the leftovers, it all still tastes good. The place itself is nicely decorated with a bunch of police patches behind the counter while on the walls there's Japanese artwork. The only hiccups I had was when I first came in I immediately asked for 2 waters. I got a nonverbal "Mm-hmm," so I repeated it again and got the same response, but a little more annoyed. Maybe it's a cultural thing where I was expecting an actual "Yes" and in Japan it's just a noise of acknowledgement, but once I started ordering so much food the waitress was much nicer to us. The 2nd was when we had to wait for the last dish to come out when we were already packed and ready to leave, but that was more on us since we added the Korean bbq last minute. The last has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but the plaza it's in. If you're unfamiliar with it, I'll tell you right now that the parking situation is a nightmare! Basically, the parking lot is a long narrow stretch sandwiched in-between with the various restaurants and shops on one side, and the main street on the other side, so what ends up happening is all the good spots right next to the place you want to go to get filled up fast and you have to try and make a U-turn and find parking far away. Meanwhile, a bunch of other cars are trying to do the same thing while other cars are trying to come in off the street. It's horrible! It's an accident waiting to happen! I hate this plaza and whoever designed it! Anyway, if you're willing to put up with the parking situation, the restaurant and food are good enough for you to forget about it until you're trying to leave.

Ordering is similar to Sushi Asahi in which that it's digital, but they give you a tablet to order from instead of your phone. Your orders go in a lot faster and you dont have to wait on staff to get the sheet. Amazing already. Even though it's a bit pricier than Sushi Asahi, they do have more options and they give you full rolls instead. I wish I had the option to do half-rolls because I wanted to try a lot of things. Sushi tastes great and their special rolls were interesting enough for me to try out. I tried every type of Sushi because I like trying new things. For their rolls I ended up getting their Asahi, Sour Candy, Okoku, and Las Vegas Roll. All of them were great and Sour Candy was my favorite with the lemon on top. It was pretty relaxed in there and the service was fast and efficient. This is definitely my go-to spot in Riverside for AYCE sushi.

We were actually sitting right behind the person who left this one-star review (Donnie H) and what…read morewe saw unfold was different from what was described here. We were going to leave a nice review and that's how I noticed the one star since it was recent. I was like, hey that just happened. We could hear the conversations since they were sitting so close. The item that was ordered came out as listed on the menu, the waiter explained the ingredients. The issue seemed to be that the roll included cream cheese, which is clearly part of the ingredients, and they decided they didn't want it after it arrived. The owner came over and was accommodating. She offered to remake the roll custom without the cream cheese, which they did. When the new item came out, it was eaten completely. The problem came later when the bill arrived and they didn't want to pay for it, saying it should be free because it wasn't what they originally wanted. From what we saw, the owner was understandably disappointed, but she was not combative. If the item had been sent back untouched, that would be one thing. But eating the entire roll and then refusing to pay for it doesn't seem fair to the restaurant. We've been coming to Zip Sushi for quite a while and have always had great experiences. The bartender makes excellent drinks, the food has consistently been top-notch, and the staff really does try to make sure customers have a good experience. Yes, it can get busy on weekends, but the servers are always hustling and doing their best. Kim was our server tonight and did an excellent job. Our advice: take a quick look at the ingredients when ordering, and if you're unsure or want something modified, just ask. They've always been willing to accommodate us when we've requested small changes. We highly recommend Zip Sushi. It's one of our go-to places, and we've yet to have bad meal.

Actually ( Mike M ) I am Donnie H lady and that is far from what actually happened. Quite…read morecontradictory since you didn't order with us and didn't sit at our table. The item we ordered was the Jalepeno Tuna Tempura Roll. Firstly, I always read the ingredients and saw that it came stuffed with cream cheese. They didn't " remake " the roll as you fasley stated Mike. The roll came out just as we asked , without the cream cheese because my man doesn't like it that much. After the roll came out without the cream cheese, we both took one bite and immediately didn't like it and told our waiter we didn't like the taste right after. He asked if we wanted them to remake it & clearly told him no it's okay, we will just have the rest of our rolls that were already on our table & he took the Jalepeno Tempura Roll away. As my man stated, the problem came when they didn't want to remove the charge for the Jalepeno Tempura Roll when 1. We didn't like it & 2. We didn't eat it. We first asked the waiter if it could be removed, we thought it was a mistake that they didn't remove it. He told us no which was completely absurd. So we asked to speak to the owner. She came out with one word and said " problem ? " which is extremely unprofessional & rude. My man expressed that he seems it's unfair that the charge won't be removed since we didn't like it and didn't eat it. He expressed how he's been coming to Zip for 14 years & the owner always sees us there. We were loyal customers and all she tried to do was rebuttal with us which was very disappointing. Eventually they took the charge off but my man was very upset that we had to go through that. I wish the owner would've realized a $12 charge wasn't worth losing a loyal customer. My man simply would've left double the amount in tip for the inconvenience as he always does. In my opinion, I never thought Zip was an outstanding Sushi spot but my man always loved to take us there. I'm very happy we won't be going there anymore & now I can introduce him to 5 star sushi spots! My advice: If you don't know all the facts and information that has happened in a situation please keep your comments to yourself. And Mike FYI, we would never eat an entire roll of sushi & expect not to pay for it! Not the story, not the case.

We stumbled upon Rakki when we first moved to Chino Hills in 2023, and took a break from coming when our son was in the oven. It was definitely our go to Sushi spot when we had the energy to make it out there. We loved the various choices of nigiri, sushi rolls and even the appetizers. Shortly before they closed, the owner even gave us a complimentary yellowtail collar which was absolutely delicious, amazingly flavorful and super juicy (we never ordered this previously, since we always went with the AYCE option). The AYCE was very reasonably priced for what you got, and could be considered on the very cheap end, for quality of the food you got and options available. Rakki Sushi got high praises from our foodie friends who would visit us as well. The chef and staff were always super nice, they always came to check on how we were doing when they weren't too overwhelmed with the busyness, and we loved how super friendly they were. Our son loved the staff as well, and he always gave them smiles back in response to theirs. The ambience was more of a local/casual sushi spot, rather than somewhere fancy, which my wife and I greatly enjoyed since we like dressing comfortably in just t-shirts and joggers. The tables, seats, and utensils were always clean when we went there. The men's restroom wasn't the cleanest looking, but given the location it was understandable. Plus, we were there for the food, and not really to strictly use the restroom. We greatly miss you Rakki Sushi and hope you are able to come back one day!

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.
