If only 10 stars were an option. I have done a lot of buildouts . I've worked with a lot of contractors and I'm pleased to say I will never work with anyone else EVER again. I've been screwed over, lied to, even robbed by previous contractors. I wish I found Mark years ago, it would have saved me thousands of dollars. Not to mention Handian Construction is a one stop shop. To be able to hire one person who does the architectural drawings, MEPs AND construction is unheard of. There have been so many delays on my previous projects because of communication issues with engineers and contractors. Initially I thought Marks bid for our new cafe came in a little high. This was my first time working with him so I just assumed he was like the rest...plotting and planning hidden fees and change orders, thinking of secret ways to bump up costs and sneak extra money anyway he could. I don't even know where to start. I interviewed about 7 other gc's before hiring Mark and just knew from meeting with him that he would be a good fit for my project. His pricing was reasonable, his references checked out, and he seemed trustworthy and reliable. Fast forward a year later- Mark has knocked it out of the park on my build out. He worked closely with me to help design it, custom tailored for to what I wanted. (Side note: I fired my interior designer 2 weeks into the project, so Mark and myself designed the entire restaurant) That's the kind of service you get with Mark. He is friendly, honest, personable, and willing to work with you to make sure you are happy with the final result- all while making sure that you stay within budget. My buggiest downfall of the project was pulling certain jobs away from Mark to try to control costs and hiring some of my own subs. Next project Mark gets the whole enchilada!
