Rich, creamy, flavorful. In a competitive space where others are trying to capitalize on the ice-cream trends, LoveJoys seems to stand apart from the pack coz they just haven't compromised with fake flavors and synthetic ingredients. Really cool menu system where they move from Fruit to Chocolate left to right to help you choose based on your preference. Really helpful. Cool interior at the Five Mile location with a little kids play area too. We were in town for 2 days visiting Boise and loved the ice-cream so much we went back on our second day to their Bown street location to try more flavors! Highly recommend!

What sounds better on a hot summer's day than ice cream! I appreciate how many flavors that they have available at this shop. A little bit of everything! There as 4 of us today with 4 different pallets. I knew I was going to be able to try a little bit of ice cream out of everyone's cups! My girls did arrive before I did and got to check out the menu first. They got ordering first while I was figuring out what sounded good. And trust me, everything sounded lovely! But, after much debate with myself, I went with the banana pudding. This is some of the best banana pudding ice cream that I've had! I love that the banana flavoring isn't artificial tasting. There's nilla wafers in each bite. I got the kiddie size and regret not ordering the single serving. Which the single serving scoops very big! I adore a business that gives their customers their money's worth! My daughter got a chocolate ice cream with brownie and Oreo pieces. I forgot the name of it and I'm sad I did, it's a must have next time! I also tried my neice's strawberry ice cream, killer good! And I got a bit of my other niece's mint chocolate chip too. I appreciate that it wasn't overly minty like you're chewing a piece of gum. It was balanced with mint and chocolate pieces. I also like the fact that it wasn't colored with green food coloring. The venue is very big and bright. I love all the big windows that allow all the sunlight in. There's a cute kids room for the little ones to enjoy their treats. A banquet room is also available for birthday parties or social events. Pints of ice cream is available to take home and also ice cream cakes. Who needs these big franchise shops when you have these great options from a local small business. I'm happy that I got to share a fun ice cream date with my girls at this shop. Everything was so good. The customer service was 50/50 but the employees are young. Proud that they are working, out of the house and making money! I look forward to coming back with my husband and having another amazing scoop from Lovejoy's! And I'll make sure it's a bigger scoop next time around.

The ice cream flavors are well crafted and up there on the creaminess scale. Our visit this time had both of us selecting the Nutella flavor & the cookies & cream flavor. Those aren't the names of them, but that's basically what they were. The Nutella flavor was probably my favorite I have ever had there & I hope it is around for a while. I'm not a fan of chocolate ice cream in general but, this was delicious & not overly chocolatey. My husband also had one that was peanut buttery and loved it too. Service is always so helpful & friendly here as well. Not being able to taste samples due to COVID wasn't an issue because we ended up with exactly what we wanted based on the descriptions & help from the woman who was serving us. Plus, this place is in Boise, the area feels so safe & the crowd is so friendly. This is what Portland's Salt & Straw used to be like, but isn't anymore since Portland is falling apart. The ice cream here is creamier anyway, so we will just make the drive & enjoy the creaminess in a safe place.

But today, I decided that I needed to slow down and enjoy the last bit of this beautiful weather. I was in the area so it was only right to stop in. I love that this shop is in front of a dental office. The irony of it is just too funny. My dentist always tells me to watch my sweets. It was pretty chill when I stopped by. It was technically dinner time. But to me, I believe dessert should be eaten before dinner. Sweet over savory any day! So honestly, I appreciated how quiet it was. It was nice to be able decompress and enjoy the vibe. With it being my first time, it did take me a minute to figure out the menu. There's custard and Italian ice. There were combos of both. I'm a visual eater so it was nice to have pictures of flavor combos that were recommended. 4 custard options were available which is plenty for me to choose from. I got chocolate custard and the gorilla munch. After the sweet girl told me what was all in the gorilla munch, I was definitely sold! I appreciate that you get a gracious amount of custard. I got the Jr size and it was perfect! I could only imagine what a small would look like! That is definitely a size I would share with my husband. The gorilla much was on the bottom and the chocolate was on top. All I can say is I couldn't eat it fast enough. It was so good! The chocolate was rich. It wasn't overly sweet. It was very chocolatey and creamy. Ya..... that gorilla munch is money! I love me a good banana ice cream and this banana base was fantastic! It didn't taste artificial tasting at all! And you add peanut butter with chocolate cookie pieces to it, ughhhh it's fantastic. I am so sad that I didn't peep that place out sooner! They officially shut down shop on the 26th. I have 21 days to get a couple more custards in before they close for the season. I had such a peaceful time here and I look forward to bringing my husband here. Overall, the staff was great! The custard was out of this world good. And I can't wait for my next cup of custard soon.

We frequent the Kuna location because it is close to our house and the grandkids love it. This location also has a drive-through window if you don't wanna unload all the kids out of the car. They also have in their cooler case their own varieties of milk, with flavors like chocolate strawberry, and no banana. They also stock Local Eggs as well as hand hand packed ice cream of the favorite flavors to go. We realize that everyone needs a day off and respect their choice not to be open on Sundays. I have checked their menu online before so I had a general idea of what kind of goodies they had. I was excited that I finally get to check out the place I drive by all week. I came in late afternoon so it was pretty chill. The gal behind the counter was helping someone in the drive thru window which gave me a minute to look over the menu. I also got to check out the venue while I was waiting. The little shop is so cute! I adore all the Valentines decor everywhere. After scoping out the joint, I headed back to check out the menu again. Everything on the menu looked tasty. Some of the soda combinations looked really good but I didn't know if some of the syrups they had were sugar free. So after the gal was done, I was able to get a couple questions answered. The only sugar free syrup they had was vanilla. Such a bummer since they have so many other flavors to accommodate their drink list. Doesn't give sugar free drinkers many drink options. So, I ordered a custom dirty soda of diet Dr. Pepper with sugar free vanilla and cream. I also ordered a kid's size of chocolate and vanilla swirl custard too. I am in awww at how much custard you get in a kid's size! You are truly getting your money's worth. My drink was wrapped up and I grabbed my goodies and made my way into the side room to enjoy my goodies. I had to sit in the side room to eat my treat. It was fun sitting next to the colorful wall. Whoever painted it did such a great job! My custard swirl was so good! It was creamy. Chocolate and vanilla will always be a winning combination. I ate about half and really wanted to take the rest home but I wasn't going home anytime soon. Sucked I was getting rid of it. I did take a sip of my dirty soda on my way out of the door. I didn't really taste any flavoring in it. I thought maybe the sweetness of the custard was still present on my taste buds so I waited to take another drink. My drink was disappointing. You can taste the cream in it. I don't know if the soda syrup was out but the Dr. Pepper taste was very light. I didn't really taste any of the sugar free vanilla. I did finish the soda cause I didn't want to waste it but I'll just stick to the frozen treats the next time I'm in. Happy I got to stop in today. The custard was so good! I can't wait till it gets hotter and can come here with my husband. Their shakes sound great and my husband is a sucker for a good milkshake. I have a feeling he's going to love this place. I am looking forward having the churro dessert with the custard on top time. That combination just sounds fantastic and it will be a must have the next time I'm in.
