Chicken broccoli combo with steamed rice and eggroll 71. Chicken with Broccoli
    Mary J.

The food here is pretty good for the standard fast-food Chinese. Han Xing is open on Monday and Tuesday, when others can be closed. There's a nice family who runs it. Place is clean with a home made sneeze screen and all the tables and chairs piled to one side. Unfortunately... the other day a kid was working answering the phone and doing orders. He was kind of unprofessional on the phone. When I got there to pick up the order he had me give my phone # several times and had trouble finding my order. It was found finally and my total was $21. I asked if that was the right order because I had lunch specials. He said he rang in as combos, that's why price was higher. It was a really fake apology from him! While our food was good and didnt take long, letting kids work isn't a great idea. They can inadvertently have a bad effect by their attitude. Kids are kids and don't realize the cause and effect of things for the livelihood of a business. I'm not the first reviewer to mention this for this restaurant.

The place is super clean. You could eat off the floors. Normally these little places are such dumps. Service was super fast and the food was hot and seasoned well. I would definitely go back

Bought my food from Han Xing last night. Wow! Must be my lucky bug week. My rice from Han Xing came with a 'free bug' (see picture). Just the other day, my wonton soup at GuanDong Restaurant also came garnished with a 'free bug' doing the backstroke in my soup. Wow!!! I should get my lottery ticket ....2 tickets, one for each bug, lol.

Orange chicken combo with undercooked raw dough spring roll

I ordered the orange chicken combo which comes with a spring roll the orange chicken is fine. The spring roll is super undercooked and has raw dough inside. My wife ordered shrimp chow mein and they gave her shrimp and cabbage.

I don't live in the area but I happened to be in the Kemps River shopping center and this was one of the few places that wasn't closed or closed early on Sunday. Ordering was very easy. I placed my order, took a walk around the block, and it was ready by the time I got back. Service was pretty good. The roast pork egg foo young combo was above average for a Chinese takeout. Portion size was generous such that I nearly couldn't finish it all. They have proper fried rice as well, instead of the yellow rice that some places dish out.

Do not go to this place for lunch. The food is just not good and not even warm. The dinner options are okay though.

Need some extra protein? Get wanton soup . It came with small ROACH. Yikes

I ordered for delivery and it came in 30min which was not too long of wait. I supposed to get 2 white rice but I got fried rice instead. Food taste ok. However I got wanton soup.... with small ROACH was in it! I called them immediately and told them about it, they offered me another cup of the soup. Um no thank you!

    So good!

My family and I (5 people) came in to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday dinner and there was nobody but us in the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the server. He was dressed in jeans, hooded sweatshirt, a beanie and had a toothpick in his mouth. A bit out of the ordinary but to each their own for proper attire in what I would deem a upscale-ish restaurant. The real issue was him taking our order, seemed rushed. As we were deliberating and figuring out what we wanted. My girlfriend was talking about the scallion bubble pancakes. He came over and said, "I overheard you said the scallion pancakes, did you want to put in that order?" My girlfriend said no, she wanted everything to come out all at once. He said ok and then we walked off. Next thing we know, the pancakes came out WAY ahead of everything else we ordered. By like 15 minutes at least. When my girlfriend said something about it, the waiter said, he said outright " I never heard her say not to order them, she never said anything, and they are out right now". No apology, no I'll go ahead and fix that...nothing. When we we on the way out, we talked to the owner about the experience and the only thing he mentioned was that, the server was new and it's hard to find good employees because they revolve so quickly. Which wasn't really an answer at all. It was definitely a 180 degree turn from the first experience we had here which was 5 stars all around. I think given the experience, we unfortunately won't be coming back

I like that it's spaced out and you're not over crowded. Our waitress Catherine was awesome. She's always nice, friendly, and patient. She gave us the menu specials and allowed us to chat a bit before ordering. My friend ordered the cheese wontons, general tso chicken and dan dan noodles. The wontons were really good. I like that they were sweet and crispy. I'd get them again for sure. The dan dan noodles were spicy and flavorful. My sister and I got the Mongolian chicken, storm fish, and eggplant. This is my go to meal that I normally get, it's always tasty. The storm fish normally comes with a spicy mayo sauce, but they didn't have it this time. The fish was still ok, but the sauce is what gives it flavor, so it was a little bland this time. The eggplant and Mongolian chicken were yum, hot, and fresh!! I definitely recommend this restaurant to alot of people. I just think it's more elevated compared to regular Chinese takeout food. They have many delicious options on the menu, and again the vibe is chill. If you're planning a group dinner this is definitely a great option. The rooms have a lazy Susan on the table to make sharing the family style meals easy. Check them out!!

I found maybe 4 at most. It was also disappointing most of the sauce was on the bottom. So it's imperative you stir everything from bottom up upon receiving the order. The top layer tasted like it had barely any seasonings because of it. I wish I had known the meal came with copious amounts of mushrooms. I otherwise would have specifically requested the order be made without the them. I am not a big fan of mushrooms and especially the fragrant kind like the shiitake variety. I feel like I had mouthfuls of mushrooms in each bite and that's all I tasted. Perhaps I will order something else they are more known for the next time I believe they specialize in Szechuan cuisine.

The older lady welcomed and greeted us, and walked us to our table. She was a very enthusiastic lady and was very happy to have us dine at her restaurant. I loved her energy! The food we ordered were mostly her recommendations, and they were delicious! I also liked that they had the Churchill China Blue Willow plates. As I looked around the restaurant, every guest seemed to enjoy their food. Overall, we had a great dining experience and I think most of it was because of the lady's energy. The food was delicious. Definitely would love to dine here again the next time I'm in Virginia.

We ordered sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken fried rice, and beef lo mein. The beef lo mein noodles were broken into small pieces instead leaving them as long noodles and there were more vegetables than there were noodles. The beef in the beef broccoli had an unusual taste like it had been sitting out for too long and the broccoli and bamboo shoots had a really weird taste that I can't even explain; we didn't finish it. The sweet and sour sauce had a slight flavor akin to some kind of cleaning agent; we just ate the chicken without the sauce. The chicken fried rice was the best out of all of it. They should get rid of the piano player and just play music, even traditional Chinese music, over the speakers. The internal appearance of the place made us think the food and ambience would be somewhat traditional, but it wasn't even close. China Ocean off of Holland has far better Chinese food than Imperial Palace. I will not recommend imperial palace nor returning to eat there. The staff/service was great, especially our waitress Sue.
