There's a small coat check area, and the bar sits just off to the right, but we headed straight, to the event space, for our reservation.
It was to be dueling pianos night, with two older gentlemen playing a steady mix of late 70's and 80's songs that kept the room lively without feeling chaotic. The kitchen was running slightly behind, but honestly it worked out in our favor because it gave everyone time to settle in, enjoy drinks, and take in the music. The event space itself is a great setup, with enough room and the right atmosphere where you can even dance at your table if you feel like it.
I started with a Cran-Apple Mule made with Ole Smoky Apple Moonshine, ginger beer, and a splash of cranberry juice. It was refreshing and easy to drink, with a nice balance between the crisp apple flavor and the bite of the ginger beer. For food, I ordered the fried Brussels sprouts topped with feta cheese, and they were excellent. They came out flaky and crisp without being burnt, and the feta added just the right salty finish.
Our guests ordered the "Dips and Things," which came with hummus, green goddess dip, assorted cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and grilled seasoned pita. It was a great shareable spread with plenty of variety. Another guest went with the hearty chili topped with cheese and onions, served with a roll, which felt like a warm, satisfying choice for the night.
Our waitress was friendly and checked in frequently, keeping up with both drink needs and food updates without hovering. Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable evening with friends, some good cocktails, and solid appetizers, made even better by the dueling pianos.
