Have you visited The Mill lately? If not, you should! It is not The Colesmill Tavern and it's not…read moreVillaris - it is The Mill and it is spectacular! Why do I say this? The menu has been revamped and it continues to evolve... The new food items are delicious and greatly appreciated. We've been looking at the same menu for almost a decade, so it's nice to have new options. Does that mean you will love the new food? Only one way to find out. Since the menu is evolving, it means the new owners are actively paying attention to what the customers want - and that goes a long way toward making the general public happy. It makes people want to become regulars. You know what else makes people want to become regulars? The service and the servers. Did you know the ice cold beer I enjoy at The Mill tastes exactly the same as the ice cold beer served at 3 other local businesses? It does! So why do I keep coming back to The Mill over and over again? I can tell you the two main reasons: Daniele and Kelcie. These girls are amazing. The prompt and accurate service they provide is only part of the story. They are also so nice and funny - very personable with all of the patrons. It makes us feel comfortable being at The Mill. Thank you both so much! I would be remiss not to give a huge shout out to Vienna, James, and Mary. It's always a pleasure seeing all or any of you when we walk through the door. The place has been spruced up quite a bit under new ownership. We notice the new signage and lights. Considerable attention has been given to the outside patio. You should stop in and see what it's all about. I would say The Mill is not a dive bar, but it is definitely casual and a nice place to sit and relax while eating and drinking. There are pool tables, plenty of TVs to watch, and a jukebox. It's worth noting that The Mill also touts ridiculously reasonably priced lunch specials; also, each day of the week has a special associated with it. For example, Thursday night is wing night. Three days a week they have happy hour specials too. Check out their website and social media pages for more information on this. If you've never been or haven't been in awhile, I would highly recommend visiting The Mill. You will not be disappointed and you will get GREAT food/drink and top-notch service!

Yep you read that right: bar and liquor store. They are conconnected and of course out of towner was immediately noticed coming in wrong door. I didn't get too much grief and the locals warmed up to me fast after my drink order. Prices are top notch and I stayed around to see some folks order food. Glad I did their food is great!!! Now it is bar food so take your keto gluten-free knucklehead orders somewhere else. You are going to get some of the best wings, great cheese steak, awesome McDonald's style fries, crispy onion rings, or the jersey special pork roll sandwich. All of that is the bomb. Elise was the bartender and cook and she ROCKS!!! They have a good selection and if inventory drops on the bar they can hit cooler door ~4 for another 12 pack. LOL I literally came here every night I was in town and the locals began to treat me like one of their own. Such great character with this tavern that most neighborhoods are missing these days. At that moment my eyes lit up just thinking of the idea of chicken fajitas made my mouth water! I immediately agreed but first we had to get our drinks. I ordered a Coke and when it got to me I couldn't believe my eyes. It was in a tall beer mug. It was beautiful it was like the feeling of being strong like an adult but having the whimsicalness of a child! When my food got to the table I swear I saw Heavenly light and trumpets beckoning me. This food oh my God! it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It had the taste of happiness in the creativity of man. You construct it however you would like. Being able to create your own destiny.... It's. Just magical.. I'm crying just thinking about it. So that's why I'm giving Chili's five stars.

I don't mind paying but $17 for a clearly not fresh sandwich should have been comped or, had we been checked on in a reasonable time, it could've been replaced for a fresh one. Firstly, I love the location, I get that it's a stopping point for boaters but I really enjoy the SJ back road drive out there and will have to do it again on a warm summer day. My friend and I both had smash burgers. We split a Bavarian pretzel and my friend had a cup of seafood chowder. The burgers were just okay, it was much fatter than a smash burger lol. And not very flavorful. The Bavarian pretzel was very yummy but could use another sauce, maybe a sweet sauce. And my friend and I agreed that the seafood chowder was also just okay. Food wise, the pretzel was the highlight for us both. Again though, this place was just getting started for the season and thus I believe they were trying out some new menu items. I had a Guinness to drink, which always pleases me. My friend ordered two different beers that they didn't have in stock, finally he settled on a Budweiser. I think again, they were likely just in the process of stocking up for the season. I'll need to return here when they're in full swing and reassess. But I do love the location and atmosphere alone, being a SJ girl that grew up on boats. Our bartender did just fine and obviously knows all the locals.
