This is not Delmonico's in Manhattan or even a fancy steakhouse. This is a kitschy throw back to a…read moredifferent era in South Jersey that really hits the mark for what it is trying to deliver, and does so with a panache that is hard to dislike. We went not expecting to like it, and goodness me the parking lot confirmed my fears of a huge Jersey institution. But then you walk in and the spot feels like Medieval times turned into a steakhouse. There are wonderfully kitschy decorations and some amazing charcoal ovens available for all to see. The service matches South Jersey, it's a vibe for sure, and it's caring and loving while lacking grace and professionalism. The salad bar feels the same way (everyone gets to go to the salad bar if you order something I think) and the caesar salad was just maybe the most mid caesar salad ever, but that's okay...you could add anything you wanted, and I added bacon! My manhattan came with a sidecar, which is atypical these days, though the sidecar was hard to pour in to the glass because it was just in a regular glass. The cocktails were great though. The prime rib was not that great, but the 2lb Tomahawk we got was amazing. I think every bite was flavorful, juicy, and fatty. I'll be back - this place embodies the land it sits on.

It feels like a relic from an earlier era, but you know what, I dug it. The parking lot and the…read moreinterior were huge, but I came at opening on a weekday, so it looked a lot more empty inside than it was. Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

If you love memorable service by impressive barkeepers AND getting value for your money AND a cozy…read morepub... then go to Kavanagh's Irish Pub & Grille in Malaga where you can have all 3 at the same time! The food here is delicious. There are a ton of options to choose from, and everything is made fresh and served hot (I mean, unless it's supposed to be served cold, like a salad - you know what I mean people!). They have daily specials and you may need to sit down for this one: they honor their specials for take-out. What? Yes, that is correct. Monday: wing night Tuesday: tacos Wednesday: cheesesteaks Thursday: burgers Try them all and see what you like! Over the past decade, I've gotten to know the bartenders a little bit and I appreciate them because they serve good drinks and are friendly. They are also prompt! When they have a moment, they take the time to chat a little with me and I like that. The pub itself is cozy. The lighting is always appropriate for what's going on and there are plenty of TVs around, displaying the local sports teams. Sometimes there is live entertainment, too. You can sit and eat at the bar but there are also booths, tables, and high-tops to choose from. I uploaded some menu photos because this site did not have any. Go check out Kavanagh's Irish Pub & Grille - I know you will love it!

Management needs to step up their game, have a training process for new hires, have rules in place for protocol, sidework checked by manager before anyone leaves, when business is slow, vacume, wipe stuff down, make sure rest rooms are immaculate, checking every couple hours, kitchen should be immaculate with food walk-ins super clean, food dated, and correct temperature of foods that are being used while service is on! i want to visit but im not as excited after reading these reviews! Management!! youre in charge!! be more assertive! patrons, should have a completely enjoyable dining experience every single time!!
