These people are out to get your money. I don't think they know what ethics are. Make sure you check around before you consider using them. Best I can say is Hams work and customer relations are unpredictable. I have had several previous small, but difficult jobs done by Hams, and the work was quite acceptable, though communication about the cost and timing was anything but straightforward. Being presented with a bill 50% over the estimate is just not professional. Finally, and unequivocally the last time, I took my car in for a larger project. My car is an 'exotic' with a very special paint color and material. Hams failed twice to complete the work satisfactorily. Eventually, I had to demand that the insurance payment made to Hams be refunded, and I had to take the car to a shop in Portland to get the Hams work removed (out-of-pocket cost to me) and then the restoration done properly. read more

This is no longer a 'family' owned business. I had gotten a estimate without insurance info and it was 30% higher then the estimate for the insurance appraisal. When the repairs were done they tried to charge me the extra 30% over what they agreed to with the insurance company, and I was told I could not have my vehicle without paying the extra money, them claiming I owed for a $500 deductible. My vehicle was hit in a parking lot, and the insurance company paid in full, no $500 deductible. read more

Ham's Body Shop customer service is amazing. Great communication with customer the whole step of the way along with occasional work status updates. Warranty with all parts they service and install. They will walk you through insurance process to make you feel at ease after an accident. Got my truck back from them after collision looking like new. Wish I had "before" and "after" photos to show but it didn't cross my mind to take some before going in to Ham's. read more

My 3500 Silverado was terribly damaged from an improper installation of a 5th wheel hitch; thankfully with Ham's Body Shop, I received my truck back and couldn't even tell there was any damage done!! They even made a couple of improvements while they were at it! The spray-in bed-liner was a nice touch from the hard plastic I had before. Thanks to the men and women working over there at Ham's!! My goodness where to begin..well I was unfortunate enough to take my truck into hams auto body not once but twice. Super irritated with the whole experience. Wanted them to take a few tiny dings out of the bed of the truck well they did but there are little nipples all over my freakin truck . The next time I took it in to get the fixed 5 weeks it was finished they said. Well the drivers side door had over a 3/8 inch gap where it shuts when I asked them about it they said its within tolerance!!! and the window has a hard time rolling up at times now and they broke my wipers told me they were like that. There was also like 40 something miles put on the truck. Anyways dont take your vehicle to hams auto body if you expect them to actually do a good job!! Worst body shop I've been to. They need to make sure that the shop know what the heck they are doing because I'm so pissed at the job they did I dont know what to do. read more

Sarah guided us through the process, set up our car rental, and negotiated with both the insurance company and the parts houses to keep them from totalling instead of repairing the car. Ham's was recommended by my insurance company, and I was told the work would be guaranteed as long as I went to Hams. Well I have to say their shop is so clean, they are so professional, they update you every day by text message (if you want) on the status of your repair, and they cleaned my car at the end. In fact, at a later date I had to go back for some rework (not Ham's fault, but an electronic issue with a computer chip), and they took the car in, figured out the problem at no cost, and even washed it again, two years later!!!
