By the way, their breakfast is really good. They have a couple of hot dishes, which is eggs and sausage or bacon. I happened to be there on bacon day. SCORE! The room was spacious, perfectly clean, gorgeous and comfortable and the view of the river and mountains was amazing. Ask for a room with a river view when you book this hotel! The indoor pool area is a plus. By the way, the entire hotel is newly renovated. If you are anywhere near the Tunkhannock, PA area, and you want an amazing place to stay, relax, rest and recharge your batteries, and have an enjoyable time, I highly recommend the Comfort Inn!

The place was not clean, the furniture was ratty, there was no lens in the peephole, and the bathroom door had no knob nevermind a lock. The drapes looked as if they'd been used for loo roll and the wardrobe was balanced on a phone book and wobbled dangerously close to the bed. This was not helped by the uneven floor surfaces that felt like potholes under carpet. The warm smell of dirty hamster cage was evident in the halls and only abated by the pervasive smell of cannabis that flooded the security door and car park areas. We only were there for a place to sleep and didn't expect much and the Prince Hotel delivered below expectations. Vending is pricey, the bar/restaurant were closing at 9pm, and the wide open security door on the back didn't instill confidence. All in all the places was unclean and rundown, lacked staff and not particularly safety conscious. Couldn't recommend, wouldn't go back.

The staff are super nice, and helpful. You'll just get everything you need. There's a nice outdoor area that even includes some grills to make your own food. The Walmart is really close so you can be self sufficient. Breakfast is basic, and decent quality. The star rating was hard to decide on. It's not a five star hotel, but the best in this price range for sure. I went ahead with a five based on that. I'm not comparing it to Ritz-Carlton.

We've stayed at hotels countless times, this was beyond an acceptable "cleaner" smell. They offered to do nothing to try to remedy the situation. Set Up: Super Easy. Hop on OpenTable and make a reservation. It was mid-week and a bit before they opened so I'm sure that made it easier but even though it was beautiful sunny late-afternoon, seating was no problem. One confusing thing - the different seating options. I forget what they were but things like main patio, lower patio, covered patio, patio, high top and standard. There is a lot going on with that. It all makes sense when you see how the outside is laid out, but the first time is a bit of a head scratcher. Service: Things here are definitely designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace which is fine. Our person was there when she needed to be there but if you are looking for something quick, maybe inside at the bar would work better because it was a solid two hours for us door to door. Food: thebeaumontinn.com/menus/summer-menu-2/ (For reference the current menu is above but no doubt this changes often) French Onion Soup - BBQ Pulled Pork/Brisket Soup Scottish Salmon - Scallops It's been a few weeks, so the details are a bit hazy, but nothing stood out as being bad or off-putting with possibly once exception. That pulled pork soup thing wasn't bad but the consistency was just....different. Never had BBQ has a soup before and probably never directly will again. I will say this, Beaumont oozes classy and sitting outside on a warm summer evening with a bit of a breeze with all of the flora and fauna of the grounds in truly a treat. I don't see a trip to this area at any point in my near future but if you are up this way and don't mind doing something a bit upscale, you could do far worse than coming here.

The inn is beautifully decorated and does a wonderful job of preserving the town's rich history. One of my favorite touches was the collection of autographed photos throughout the entrance area, showcasing the many artists, musicians, and notable guests who have stayed here over the years. The location couldn't be better. Situated right on Broadway, you're within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and attractions that make Jim Thorpe such a special destination. We spent hours exploring the town and loved being able to return to the inn whenever we wanted to relax. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. It featured a cozy queen-size bed, two cushioned lounge chairs perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing, and a large swivel-mounted TV with streaming capabilities. The room had a warm and inviting feel that fit perfectly with the historic atmosphere of the inn. The staff truly made our stay memorable. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions and even supplied a handy map of Broadway highlighting all the shops and points of interest. If you're planning a visit to Jim Thorpe, I highly recommend staying here.
