Super easy to find (although in this area what isn't commensurate to the size of the area) where you just float down route 6, bare right on to 92 and then right into the parking lot. A Weis Market, Aldi and Walmart are a short drive away along with a few restaurants down the road on East Tioga and an excellent winery/brewery that you pass on the way in to town. The room was basically as expected with it being on the back side of the building which was super quiet. But even if there would have been any noise it would been drowned out by the a/c. Upon entering, there was no doubt the it worked as the thermostat was set to 64 and the unit was ripping jet engine full blast. Hampton breakfast is Hampton breakfast and we've learned to skip it the same as they do have a pool and some guest washers/dryers but there was no need for either of those. Nothing really sexy or outstanding here but if you need clean, serviceable and functional, this Hampton has got you covered.

The room was spacious, perfectly clean, gorgeous and comfortable and the view of the river and mountains was amazing. Ask for a room with a river view when you book this hotel! The indoor pool area is a plus. By the way, the entire hotel is newly renovated. If you are anywhere near the Tunkhannock, PA area, and you want an amazing place to stay, relax, rest and recharge your batteries, and have an enjoyable time, I highly recommend the Comfort Inn!

The odor in the room was so overwhelmingly strong that my mother-in-law couldn't catch her breath as she suffers from COPD. When this was brought up to the staff they stated "we can't have you smell every room" and claimed if was the cleaner they used. We've stayed at hotels countless times, this was beyond an acceptable "cleaner" smell. They offered to do nothing to try to remedy the situation. I was charged over $350 and they refused to refund any of the money paid. I've never had such an awful experience before with a hotel.

Room was sufficient, clean, tidy, but furniture a little worn. King bed duvet was pilled from over washing, and bathtub needed resurfacing. Fridge was replaced and did not fit in credenza, leaving a large open space with cords and an opening on the back. Only three hangers in closet and mini safe did not work. Plenty of parking, but not much around hotel. A few fast food joints, a Lowes and a Walmart and Aldi nearby. No sit down restaurant other than an Applebees. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast, only pork sausage and powdered eggs, waffles or pancakes. No oatmeal, just cereal, and an instant Folgers coffee machine, first time i have seen one. Coffee not bad. Unlikely i will stay here again, but for the area and price it was okay.

Set Up: Super Easy. Hop on OpenTable and make a reservation. It was mid-week and a bit before they opened so I'm sure that made it easier but even though it was beautiful sunny late-afternoon, seating was no problem. One confusing thing - the different seating options. I forget what they were but things like main patio, lower patio, covered patio, patio, high top and standard. There is a lot going on with that. It all makes sense when you see how the outside is laid out, but the first time is a bit of a head scratcher. Service: Things here are definitely designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace which is fine. Our person was there when she needed to be there but if you are looking for something quick, maybe inside at the bar would work better because it was a solid two hours for us door to door. Food: thebeaumontinn.com/menus/summer-menu-2/ (For reference the current menu is above but no doubt this changes often) French Onion Soup - BBQ Pulled Pork/Brisket Soup Scottish Salmon - Scallops It's been a few weeks, so the details are a bit hazy, but nothing stood out as being bad or off-putting with possibly once exception. That pulled pork soup thing wasn't bad but the consistency was just....different. Never had BBQ has a soup before and probably never directly will again. I will say this, Beaumont oozes classy and sitting outside on a warm summer evening with a bit of a breeze with all of the flora and fauna of the grounds in truly a treat. I don't see a trip to this area at any point in my near future but if you are up this way and don't mind doing something a bit upscale, you could do far worse than coming here.

The inn is beautifully decorated and does a wonderful job of preserving the town's rich history. One of my favorite touches was the collection of autographed photos throughout the entrance area, showcasing the many artists, musicians, and notable guests who have stayed here over the years. The location couldn't be better. Situated right on Broadway, you're within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and attractions that make Jim Thorpe such a special destination. We spent hours exploring the town and loved being able to return to the inn whenever we wanted to relax. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. It featured a cozy queen-size bed, two cushioned lounge chairs perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing, and a large swivel-mounted TV with streaming capabilities. The room had a warm and inviting feel that fit perfectly with the historic atmosphere of the inn. The staff truly made our stay memorable. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions and even supplied a handy map of Broadway highlighting all the shops and points of interest. If you're planning a visit to Jim Thorpe, I highly recommend staying here.
