A Weis Market, Aldi and Walmart are a short drive away along with a few restaurants down the road on East Tioga and an excellent winery/brewery that you pass on the way in to town. The room was basically as expected with it being on the back side of the building which was super quiet. But even if there would have been any noise it would been drowned out by the a/c. Upon entering, there was no doubt the it worked as the thermostat was set to 64 and the unit was ripping jet engine full blast. Hampton breakfast is Hampton breakfast and we've learned to skip it the same as they do have a pool and some guest washers/dryers but there was no need for either of those. Nothing really sexy or outstanding here but if you need clean, serviceable and functional, this Hampton has got you covered.

By the way, their breakfast is really good. They have a couple of hot dishes, which is eggs and sausage or bacon. I happened to be there on bacon day. SCORE! The room was spacious, perfectly clean, gorgeous and comfortable and the view of the river and mountains was amazing. Ask for a room with a river view when you book this hotel! The indoor pool area is a plus. By the way, the entire hotel is newly renovated. The place was not clean, the furniture was ratty, there was no lens in the peephole, and the bathroom door had no knob nevermind a lock. The drapes looked as if they'd been used for loo roll and the wardrobe was balanced on a phone book and wobbled dangerously close to the bed. This was not helped by the uneven floor surfaces that felt like potholes under carpet. The warm smell of dirty hamster cage was evident in the halls and only abated by the pervasive smell of cannabis that flooded the security door and car park areas. We only were there for a place to sleep and didn't expect much and the Prince Hotel delivered below expectations. Vending is pricey, the bar/restaurant were closing at 9pm, and the wide open security door on the back didn't instill confidence. All in all the places was unclean and rundown, lacked staff and not particularly safety conscious. Couldn't recommend, wouldn't go back.
