Welcome to another tasty food adventure! Today's breakfast stop is Nardone's, a classic retro…read moremom-and-pop diner that's been around since the 1940s, with the current owner taking over in the '80s. They serve up home-cooked flavors at reasonable prices. We were invited by Lisa, the owner, who follows us on Facebook, to come do a review. I ordered the 2-egg special with sausage, white toast, home-fried potatoes, and sunny-side-up eggs--plus a refreshing glass of OJ and some ice-cold milk, none of that coffee stuff. Walking in, I immediately felt welcomed, which is something I always appreciate. It's a cash-only spot with an ATM on site. Around here in Pennsyltucky, sunny-side-up eggs are "dippy" eggs, perfect for dipping your toast. My eggs were cooked just right, the toast was perfectly buttered, and the potatoes were crispy outside and soft inside. They also have weekly breakfast specials, plus different ones on weekends, and they're open Sundays--so no excuses not to visit. Until next time, be blessed and stay safe. The chili dogs with everything are nostalgic and some of the best you can get anywhere, we still try to get the recipe right at home in Philly. It's not over the top frills with booths, and stools at the counter, but it's the food that keeps everyone coming back year after year and the prices are great too! It's cash only too!

Not bad but not good either; middle of the pack I guess…read more There is a nice outdoor tent set up but now it's too cold to really sit out there in the evening. There's a bar under the tent too; probably pretty cool to chill and drink out there in the warmer months. Inside it's a little orangish, reddish, and dark, but looks like a dive bar (not in a bad way). There are some tables lined up in the middle and against the wall. Service was a bit sluggish, bar tender waited on us mostly and someone else. Ticket times were a bit longer than they should have been for burgers and fries. But, the bar tender and server were both very nice and friendly. Food was alright. Burgers were requested medium but came to the table completely hammered. Flavor was good, fries were pretty good but it's a little hard to mess up fries. Had some bacon ranch tots on the side and saved the fries. Tots were good too. If there's a next time I'll try the wings, but realistically it's just a bar that serves food. Bands play so if friends or family visit maybe I'll bring them here.

You don't have to order extra crispy or wet, they come out perfect every time. They are cooked to order, so it can take a while longer than places who pre-cook. Try a Kelly Fry or French Onion Soup and pretty much anything else on the menu. All good all the time. Service is always friendly and quick, even when busy. They've been here since 1990, so I think they have it figured out. Bonus craziness on St Patrick's Parade Day, bag pipes and good cheer o'plenty!

While their wings do tend to be smaller than other normal or even jumbo sized wings, to call them pigeon wings is just ridiculous. If you're someone who eats an order of 10 feel free to order 15 here and get the same full belly effect. The one thing they have going on that cannot be matched is consistency. It doesn't matter who's cooking, the day of the week, or the crowd size. The wings are always the same size, cooked the same way, and sauced the same way. I do feel as if they travel well too due to their smaller size. Reheating them with an extra side of sauce, has proven to be a hit at parties. They deserve to be in the conversation for best wings in the area. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is a large family friendly dining room. The one negative, I do wish the bar area was larger. If you're able to find a seat, it is a nice time, but it is a very narrow and limited seating experience.
