As Hampton Inns go, this one is great! Located just a hop, skip and a jump off the freeway (but far enough away that you don't hear lots of road noise), with plenty of parking-it's a great choice for travelers. Nearby, you'll find plenty of food options, which is important (at least to me!) The rooms are clean and comfortable, although some of the areas in the lobby were a little dated and in need of small repair (tears in furniture, peeling wallpaper, etc. My favorite thing about this hotel was the pre-made smoothies for breakfast. Website said renovations and front door blocked, but nothing about scaffolding covering the windows with no privacy unless you kept the curtains closed all the time. Very depressing. By far one of the better hotel stays I've had anywhere in a long time. My fiancé and I came to Provo for a friends' wedding and decided to stay here. The staff went above and beyond for us and I wanted to take a minute to thank the names we could remember. Jonathan and Kate: we showed up before check in and they were kind enough to let us use their microwave so we could have something to eat. Kate even got us cold water and remembered we had dietary restrictions when we were offered cookies. Wyatt: My fiancé asked if their oats for breakfast were made with milk or water, and he was kind enough to check for her, confirming they were made with water and it met our dietary needs. Customer service here was fantastic. I can tell the enjoy what they do and are treated well. I hope this team continues to thrive and succeed. The room was great. Two queen beds. Second floor. Plenty of towels. Comfy beds. Pillows that didn't feel like stones. Only thing to point out were the folks above us had kids - so kids will be kids. Slept well. Had a great breakfast both nights. I made reservations to stay at this Fairfield Inn in Provo UT. As a Platinum Elite lifetime member of Bonvoy I have stayed in many Fairfield Inns and have always had a good experience. Not with this one. When we arrived, as soon as we stepped into the lobby, I could smell a very strong, scent of air freshener. We checked in and went to our room. The elevator, hallway and our room all had that very strong air freshener smell. It was way too strong and overwhelming. I went back down to the desk and asked to cancel our reservation. Normally they would have charged me for one night for canceling but they charged me $25 instead. I don't feel I should have been charged anything considering the circumstances. Unfortunately the manager would not agree to the refund. Another observation, this property is very outdated and in need of renovations. It probably hasn't had any updates since it was first built. They still have bathtubs instead of walk-in showers like the majority of Fairfield Inns have. Also in need of new carpeting and fresh paint. read more

They also have free coffee, tea and water and a small market store for snacks and sodas. Staff were very nice and polite. The rooms were clean but a bit on the small side. Pros, Cons, then summary. Went here for a hockey tournament with my family and several other hockey families. PROs--There's an indoor pool and jacuzzi that kids love. The AC was cold and worked very quick and well. It is right-off the freeway and close enough to Salt Lake City. The TV was new and had Direct TV, with most of the channels. CONs--The room was small. There was not a microwave either. The bathroom door was a sliding door that didn't lock, and that is a pet peeve of mine. Big reason for 2 stars was the lack of a good breakfast. The box breakfast they serve is terrible. (I don't care if it is COVID related, other hotels I've stayed in this year have allowed hot breakfasts with good food, so that excuse is nonsense.) Also, there isn't much of a lobby. There isn't a place for people to hang out and talk. Moreover, there isn't a bar and restaurant. I don't care about your state laws, advocate and lobby your state government for a change. Would I stay here again? No, there are other hotels in the area that provide more for the price. read more

I've been staying at Hampton Inns for years. Big fan of the chain. Lately I've been using Hampton Inns during road trips due to their excellent adherence to COVID protocols. Tonight I stayed in Hampton Inn in Provo Utah. The hotel is filthy. Carpets are dirty. Lobby trash cans overflowing and total disregard for guests wearing masks. There are abundant signs everywhere saying masks are required for all guests. I went out to my car 3 times to get things and saw lots of people. I'm the only one in the hotel wearing a mask. People are dieting in Utah and this is their attitude to compliance with Covid protocols. I went to complain to the front desk but there was no one around at 9:00pm. Really disappointed and scared!!! read more

I had reservations here awhile back. I was not impressed at all. The elevator is broken and has been for MONTHS??? Seriously? What kind of hotel has a broken elevator and doesn't spend the money to get it fixed? We had to carry our luggage to the top floor--for us and our two young grandkids. In addition to that, the manager was totally hassling the girl working at the front desk. She was doing fine and was totally polite and he was a jerk. There is only one elevator and it is pretty slow, however, there are only three floors so it doesn't take too terribly long. There is a pool as well. The staff is very kind and helpful. This location is also very close to BYU (about a 10 minute drive). The room was very clean and spacious. There is also a microwave as well as a refrigerator in the room which I loved. There is no freaking way this place deserves anything more than a one star. I should have taken pictures because for a mid-level chain for Hilton hotels, they should be embarrassed. This is no judgement towards the staff I had little interaction with, they seem nice enough. I used the very small gym area-the ac was so loud I couldn't even hear my own music, there was a water dispensers that had a handwritten Broken sign on it, a list of cleaning standards for the hotels extra clean label, next to an empty holder for the Required, Sanitizer spray bottle, the tv was on with a black screen with spots=Broken and no remote to use it, if it hadn't been broken already, hence I have no idea why the tv was on. The elevator was broken and our room was on the third floor so that was amazing for my elderly parents, who have both had hip and knee replacements. I took a freezing cold shower for the first five mins and then burning hot, the last two minutes, with a deafening high pitch squealing sound for the entire shower time. Not impressed, not worth the money. No bueno! read more

Normally I like Hampton Inns, but this one was a disappointment. Received an email to check inn through the app and use a digital room key--perfect, I like that option. Checked in online, selected my room, but never received the digital room key, so I ended up at the front desk anyway. The receptionist said this hotel doesn't have that option. So why was it in the email??? Room was on the third floor, but...the elevator was not in service. Got to lug three very heavy bags up two flights of stairs. Then back down again. Not fun at all. Noisy/rattly AC, but at least it kept the room cool. Loose floor tiles in the bathroom. On the bright side, the room was very clean, so no complaints about that aspect of the stay. this is the second time we are staying here at this facility, The first time was in May and the elevator was broken the second time was in August and it is still broken with no intent to fix. So at our second stay we got to our room and instantly it smelt like dog pee and not just a little stench it was BAD! Then when we walked into the bathroom there was body hairs everywhere and the floor felt horrible and sticky. So we called up to the front desk and they said that they could give us lysol spray for the smell but we weren't allowed to move rooms. Then they the manager called back and said word for word "we aren't allowed to give you any lysol spray because it is a serious liability and the bathroom is just supposed to be like that". Like are you serious??! We are paying $180 for one single night and there was food shoved behind the bed, sink was completely dirty with toothpaste everywhere, floors sticky, pee all over curtains and horrible smell, bed wasn't even made, and to top it all off they said they can only take off $20 even though they have a policy where you can check out the room before staying to see if it's okay. Completely incompetent. We came in expecting to stay one night but that night we decided we would need another night. At 8:30am I went down and asked them if I could extend one night. The girl at the desk said their system was down so they couldn't do anything but the man next to her said it wouldn't be a problem and asked for my room number and said they would take care of it. Fast forward to 1:40pm I come back and am told they can't extend my stay, that they're full. Their general manager Brian tells me sorry they have a big group coming in taking all the rooms. (Sounds like something they would have known about and let me know when I first asked to extend my stay) So I ask what time they need me out by and they say they can extend it to 2pm (giving me 20 minutes to pack up my wife and three kids).Before I left I asked when their system came back online which they told me was around 10:45am. So I asked why they didn't let me know during the two and half hours after their system was back and was told "we didn't know what room you were in" when I told them they asked me for it l when I wanted to extend, I just got smiles. So if Brian's boss Darcy is reading this just know these are the brilliant people working for you. read more

Really bad experience - find another hotel! There looked to be nice ones immediately next door. Elevator was broken and only available room was on 3rd floor so we had to lug our stuff up the stairs. Room smelled FUNKY. Turned on AC and it was loud and took forever to cool down the room (hours!). Shower had zero water pressure, just a trickle at best. Bed was hard as a rock. Stains in the carpet everywhere. Looked like dried boogers on bathroom wall. Seriously can't make this up! I "might" expect this at a sub-$100 hotel but this room cost $169/night and was one of the worst experiences. Super disappointed. read more

Friendly and clean but outdated. Checked in late after our late flight from SLC. The front desk staff was really friendly and welcoming. She even had our the package we sent to their location ready for us in our arrival. The room was clean and typical for Hampton Inn just a bit dated. The elevator however is old and slow. As for the location, it is easily off and back the free way. Though we did not hear it from our room. The warm breakfast is once again same as any HI. Pastries, waffles, bread, meat, various egg option, juice, coffee and fruits. Definitely good enough to send you off. Overall, adequate overnight stop after SLC before driving to either Moab or Springdale. read more

WARNING: CURRENTLY BEING RENOVATED. This place is going a full renovation to the extent that I'm surprised it's even open. The "front desk" is a table in an office, there is paint and dust everywhere, and the first floor smells like body odor and cleaning supplies. Luckily, the rooms were still set up well and I was pleasantly surprised. But I would definitely not stay here again until their work is finished. I've stayed here twice on business and dealt with consistently poor service every time. I usually check in late, around 10:00PM. I had to wait about 15 minutes for somebody to come back to the front desk to help me. The most frustrating issue was the lack of service at the breakfast bar. I paid $125.00/night for a room and full continental breakfast, yet every morning around 8:15 AM when I came down for breakfast, the bar was always barren. The hot breakfast items were gone, the fresh fruit was gone, the bagels, muffins, and dohnuts were gone. The only thing left was stale coffee and old breakfast cereal. The breakfast is supposed to be stocked until 10:00AM, but it seems like they lay out whatever's in stock at 6:00 and it's first-come, first-serve until the initial stocking is gone. I stayed a total of 6 nights between two visits and this happened every morning, getting progressively worse towards the weekend. I complained several times to the front desk, and they would assure me that "someone will be down immediately to stock." Someone came, put out some toast bread, and left again. The service was awful. I've stayed at dozens of Hampton Inn's, and this was by far the worst I've ever seen. Aside from poor service, the location stinks. The building is old and in need of a remodel, and the WIFI is very weak on the top floors. I recommend the Hampton Inn in Orem off I-15 exit by UVSC. It's newer and the service is much better. read more

The elevator doesn't work and clearly hasn't for some time and even though there is no elevator, they refuse to bring a towel to our room and of course they have no daily room cleaning or replenishing. So if you need anything you're expected to swallow up and down three flights of stairs to get it in the lobby. I am fully vaccinated and agree with every possible Covid related restriction. But no one in the hotel including staff wear masks. How about putting a mask on and provide ACTUAL customer service and provide at least towel service. Also, the shower had no anti- slippage at all, and all four of us almost fell. The toilet seat would not stay up for the men, and last but not least: THE RUDEST lobby attendant I have ever encountered. He has no business working in public service. I had an interview at Rocky Mountain University and they had a discount available since I was affiliated with the school ($89/night) it was across the street from the school and very convenient. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Warm cookies in the evenings so come down for some cookies! 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby. I wish I had more time to eat their breakfast but I was on my way to an interview so I didn't want to eat TOO much. They had a waffle bar, bagel bar, and oatmeal bar. Eggs and ham as well as "bagel toppers" which are the perfect size for a bagel sandwich! Yogurt, juice, muffins etc. flavored pumps for your coffee was nice. Starts early at 6:00am. Room was clean and the temperature coming in was perfect. I didn't have to touch the thermostat during my stay. The only thing I have to dock them on was that there was maintenance at 10am-6pm (so I overheard) so there wasn't any hot water during that time. This did not affect me thankfully since I checked out at 7:30am but it was nice that they informed me about it when I checked in. Highly recommend, especially if you're here for an interview at the school, the student discounts at the nearby hotels are around the same so the extra $2-3 for This place is worth it read more
