Worst Marriott I've ever stayed in, and I travel a lot and stay in Marriotts across the country. It's an older hotel, which I can deal with. Paint peeling and mold in the bathroom. I can even deal with that. I woke up my last morning and was covered in bites. Not sure if it was bed bugs, fleas, a spider? Not sure. But my arms and legs were covered. Unbelievable. I rolled into town without a reservation and stopped here hoping they had something available as I've had some nice stays at Fairfield Inns previously. As usual they did not disappoint. The room wasn't overly pricey, it was on the ground floor and it was tidy and pest free! What more could a traveling man need? Food you ask? The hotel it bit outdated, could use some renovations. This place is on the southern tip of Provo with easy access to the highway. Arby's is next door, and drive up 5 minute north and you'll find lot of places to eat. Check-in was simple and easy; easy access to the hotel, plenty of parking. Staff member was friendly. While mask required sign is on the door, it's not enforced. Overall, decent. read more

I ended up staying at Fairfield Pocatello, Idaho... when I realize my mistake I asked for a credit card refund they refused... this hotel is overpriced..... they would not even offer me a coupon for future use! I've had an overall pleasant experience here and I plan to return my next trip to Provo. The room was clean and comfortable but has smelled a bit stale all week even with the fan and air conditioning running. It's not bad and I get used to it, just not ideal. It's a convenient location for folks visiting Rocky Mountain University and 1.5 mile walk "into town" of Provo to access all the great restaurants. Free breakfast was nice- two of the days vegetarian sausages were offered and another day when it was only pork and turkey available Ge nice lady offered to make me a few fresh vegetarian onesThere is an indoor pool which I really appreciate. I've used it twice and it's fine but a bit too cold for me. There are NO pets allowed which I really appreciate as I have allergies. Update: my room smells much better this visit but two colleagues in rooms on the second and third floor have stuffy-smelling rooms and have asked to be relocated to new rooms. Breakfast is awesome and free. Love the veggie sausage, fresh spinach, cheese omelette and oatmeal with fancy toppings. And no more Fox TV in the lobby/ thank you!!! read more

So we stayed at room 105 and the frontdesk is really nice however the hotel really needs serious upgrading! The tub was dirty and the shower head needs to be replaced! Seriously this is too expensive for $135 We have been driving and i would want a room that I can shower properly! Wow where to begin. Oh ya! Go somewhere else!!! Horrible mildew mold smell!!! Smoke room! Like someone just smoked a pack and left. The sink was broken, the bed was hard and old! It has a 27" tv! What is this 1999!?? Shower did not get hot. Just don't bother! Never again! I will never try Marriott again!! Motel 6 is way up grade from this hell hole! Worst Marriott Hotel. Booked a room for two nights and when we checked in the towels were dirty. Looked like poop on the towels. The girl at the frontdesk moved us room but laughed about the towels. Once we moved our stuff to the new room the shower was broken and we couldn't take a shower. I was told there was no manager I could talk to and they could comp me $20. The next morning I was told the general manager wasn't in again and the person at the front desk was rude. Her exact words to me were "I don't know what you want me to say". Very clean, beds are comfortable, front desk staff very accomodating and friendly. The complimentary breakfast is pretty typical for a Fairfield Inn. Very quiet and parking is limited if you check in late. Would recommend and will be back if I am in this area again. read more

The worst Marriott experience we have had... We are titanium members and travel frequently for work. I arrived in the evening and was told that the carpets were cleaned that day and could be damp. I arrived to my room and not only were carpets damp, but the overly perfume smell was terrible. I did not bring slippers thus this damp carpet and smell were quite an inconvenience. After unpacking and doing some work, I went to bed and shortly after midnight noticed the room was freezing. Temps dropped below freezing. I attempted to turn on the heat to no avail. I called downstairs and someone came up and she said, "Oh someone unplugged it." She fiddled with it and said I'd have to fiddle with it a bit. She left and I turned it on and got in bed, but mostly cold air came out. I turned it up higher and then a horrific, loud, banging sound started coming from the unit. I turned it off but the sound didn't stop so I had to unplug it! No wonder someone unplugged it. Temps were below freezing and by now it was close to 1 am and I had early meetings. I bundled up in all my clothes, wet socks and tried to sleep. Next morning I complained to front desk and she said a manager would phone. Indeed they phoned, but refused to credit our room as she said, "I could have changed rooms"! At 1 am, after my stuff and work things were spread everywhere? This is the worst customer service and she has lost our future business. Even if we will lose out on our Marriott points we will stay elsewhere. As you can see from other reviews, whoever is running this particular Marriott is grossly undertrained in what great customer service looks like. If you clean the carpets, do so in stages so as the chemicals can disperse and the floors can dry. You should not subject your guests to wet floors and perfumed chemicals. Ever. f you have faulty units, replace and check often. These are the basics in maintaining a facility. When guests have legitimate complaints, listen, acknowledge and then REPAIR. Had you credited our room and truly acknowledged the situations presented, you would have at least shown you stand behind quality and service. The fact that you put it back on me, as your paying guest, when I have a choice in where to spend my money, is the worst of customer service and shows your lack of education in this area. I am a very unhappy customer and will not return. read more

This is going to be our new go-to in Provo. The beds are nice and firm, hallelujah! They offer the free breakfast which the kids like. I like the set up of the Springhill, but I cannot handle the overly soft beds. It was extremely quiet and it was clean. That's what matters to me. On the downside, the parking lot was very crowded and difficult to navigate. It would be nice if they had one more regular coffee dispenser and a cream carafe instead of the little fake creamer tubs. And, while some of the staff are great, such as the young man who was working when we got in near midnight, there are other staff members like the one dayshift woman who made us feel like we were somehow riffraff daring to enter her castle when we walked through the door. We couldn't help but wonder what is someone like that doing in the hospitality business?! Overall, I can ignore rude staff for a good bed and quiet room. read more

Typical Fairfield Inn. I have stayed in a lot of Marriott properties over the years and this one was just a step below average. It was clean, the service was pretty good. The breakfast was not as good as most Marriott properties. My biggest issue was the A/C in the room. It cycled constantly. It wasn't on long enough to really make a difference then it would shut down and start again literally 60 seconds later. Makes it a little tough to get to sleep. read more

I stayed at the Fairfield Marriott Provo for business 4/19 - 4/21/12. I stayed in Room 105, which was close to the side entrance of the hotel. The room had two double beds with a night stand in between the beds, with a table lamp, telephone, and digital alarm clock. There's a dresser with four shelves, flat screen TV, coffee maker, ice bucket, microwave, mini refrigerator, desk with a lamp, side chair next to a floor lamp. There's two bottles of water; if consumed, you will be billed $2.50 per bottle of water. The beds are comfortable with four great pillows on each bed. I would have preferred thicker comforters, but the blankets kept me warm enough. In the sink area, there's a blow dryer, tissue, and plastic cups. Toiletries include a body soap, facial soap, Pantene shampoo, Pantene conditioner, and Vaseline total moisture lotion. On the other side of the sink area is an open closet with 7 wooden hangers, iron & ironing board, top shelf, and a luggage valet. In the rooms, there's free high speed internet access. Safety deposit boxes are available at the front desk. In the lobby, there's coffee, tea, water, hot chocolate, and lemonade available 24 hours a day. They offer a complimentary hot continental breakfast that includes hot waffles, hot and cold cereal, bagels, danishes, assorted breakfast breads, muffins, coffee, assorted juices, bananas, hot cocoa, fruit yogurts, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, and other seasonal whole fruits. Monday - Friday 6 - 9am. Weekends 7 - 10am. They have an indoor pool and hot tub open 7am - 11pm. Overall, the rooms are clean and comfortable. With the benefits of the free wi-fi and breakfast, I would stay here again. read more

Great experience at the Fairfield Inn. It's right off the freeway for easy access/locating. Front desk staff were super friendly and accommodating. Our room had a couch, chair, fridge and huge king size bed that was very comfortable. Happy to see a radio with built in iPod dock - nice touch. There was also a bag of candy on the desk with a note from the housekeeping staff. Pool was small but adequate and also had a decent sized hot tub with views of the mountains are all around. Continental breakfast had a good selection of cereals, juices, muffins, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and a waffle bar. Slept great and wouldn't hesitate to book here again. read more

This Fairfield is conveniently located off the freeway close to the mall and many eating restaurant. We were welcomed at the front desk as an elite gold member and had requested a high room and extra foam pillows. Both things were honored! Thanks Fairfield! The hotel is a bit older but the updates are new and fit right in with the other Fairfields we have stayed in this week. Pool/hot tub hours are 7a-11p Breakfast hours M-F 6-9 Sat Sun 7-10 Breakfast is served up hot every morning with all the fixins'. Grab some cold cereal or cook up a hot waffle. Plenty of eggs, bacon, sausage and oatmeal. Tips and tricks-- parking is tight here. Look around back for extra spots. Drive around Provo and check out the BYU campus, hike the famous Y, or visit the temples--this city is hopping with night life! read more

The hotel is just ok but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself is obviously old but they've tried to update it by painting. The breakfast was on par with hotels of the same price range. The bathrooms were subpar in my opinion. There was an issue with our bill where we were charged $10 more than quoted. We stayed here last week for 3 nights. We were in town to see our son. When I made the reservation it was for $95 dollars a night. When I got my bill it was for almost $500! They raised the price because it was "Education week" It was a crappy motel. cigarette burns in the carpet, noisy (There was a ice maker right outside our room) Plus when we came in on the second day they said we had to change our keys because "someone entered our room while you were away" very weird. There was a phone call at night asking me who checked us in and when I couldn't recall the person laughed. I spoke to the manager Jessica Durant (sp) and she was rude and condescending. Booked my room with a third party site, so check in was super easy. We got there around 9 and there were a few people checking in at the same time, was it was all fast. Parking around this time is hard to get. The room was clean and quiet. Service was friendly and went out of their way to make you comfortable, i.e complimentary cookies, candy, and chocolate. I mean that's how you win me over. Located right next to the interstate, food, and gas station. Only a short drive to BYU. Highly recommend this hotel. read more

Started out with the slowest check-in ever by a surly gentleman who checked us into an already occupied room..... awkward..... No pool towels, dirty room, and hard beds made for an uncomfortable stay but the worst was the moldy cheese at breakfast discovered AFTER my family had eaten generous helpings atop runny microwaved eggs!!! When I showed the lady behind the front desk she offered a weak apology and told the breakfast lady to throw the cheese away, nevermind the 30+ other guests that were in the process of consuming said cheese.......yuck yuck yuck!!! Had a nice stay here for one night w/ my husband and kids. Great location right off the freeway. It was a good location because there were stores, gas station, fast food very close. Check in was quick, simple and easy. Had my name on a list of members at the front desk because I'm a Marriott rewards member. That was very welcoming. Nicholas at the front desk was very pleasant and kind. He called about 20 minutes after we checked in to make sure the room was up to our expectations and it was. They had some really good chocolate chip cookies and candy at the front desk upon check in which was awesome because my kids love chocolate chip cookies and after a 11 hour drive we enjoyed them. Over all, the service was great. The complimentary breakfast was good and I always love great customer service. read more

The hotel was easily accessible from the freeway and checkin was relatively simple. Pleasant person at the desk. The room was on the small side but clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was almost impossible because of the tiny breakfast room space. Very small, uninviting area with few tables. The biggest problem with the hotel is its color schemes. Our room was a combination of bright orange and lemon yellow with a burnt orange, patterned carpet. Very stressful colors! Definitely needs a new paint job. read more

My stay at the Fairfield Inn was a nightmare! Had a short, but horrible stay. Upon arrival, I paid for my reservation in cash, then they proceeded to charge my card an extra $280 twice without my knowledge. This occurred within the first 30 minutes of my stay! After calling around for hours, I received my refund THE NEXT DAY! I was forced to cancel all the plans I had for that day, just to get something that was wrongfully taken from me. The breakfast here is a complete joke. The food was not appetizing at all, and the seating area was way to small. The entire stay was so inconvenient and I will not be visiting here again. Bed comfortable. Air worked well. BUT the breakfast kitchen is ridiculously small. Who designed it where everyone is crammed into a corner? The food constantly ran out because they refused to fill dishes/bowls completely. Same with fridge. So silly. Every day for four days, no matter what time I went down, they were out of something and had to be asked to refill. That's my big beef. When the kitchen would add 6 yogurts and they would run out they would add six more. Why not just fill the darn thing up and be done with it already. I cannot describe what I was tasting when I tried their scrambled "eggs." No way were these eggs that come from chickens. The fifth day I had to eat at an IHOP. Thank the Lord Jesus...REAL eggs! Decent hotel for the price. Small rooms, that could have been a little higher in quality considering that it has been recently remodeled. Basic pool available looked nice, though we didn't get a chance to try it. Reception was nice, and prompt. It's also nice that they offer breakfast, though it only goes to 9 am. Room was clean, though we were missing the typical water bottles that are usually in the room waiting, so we assume that we probably would have been charged for them had we not alerted reception to the situation. All-in-all, a good deal, in a great location, though don't expect a five star hotel. read more

I love watching sports anytime, especially when I travel, sports with no HD isn't acceptable in this day and age. I won't be staying at this place again. One of the worst experiences in a hotel ever. We arrived late and we had to leave early. We had an alarm set and we were sleeping through it. The room next to us complained about the alarm. The guy at the front desk decided to let himself into our room (which was locked) at 5am to wake us up and tell us we needed to turn it off. He was very rude when we confronted him about it. On June 12, I had a guaranteed reservation. I got to the hotel at 9:00 and the front desk told me they did not have a room for me. It took me until 3:30AM to find a room at the SLC airport at the cost of $338. The Fairfield was supposed to reimburse me and they and Marriott will not make sure this happens. I have sat on hold for hours, got disconnected, been transferred to another rep, on and on....... I will NEVER go to another Marriott Property due to the BAD customer service and NOBODY cares. Im a Bonvoy/Marriott member and made reservations directly with my Marriott card. The hotel is conveniently located and parking is plentiful. We checked in with Jacob Bowler. He was very nice and helpful. When I inquired about an upgrade, he responded it had already been done. I was upgraded to a king suite. The room was very nice. It was clean and nicely decorated. Jacob even took the time and recommended a steakhouse just across the street. It was awesome. Great steaks and service at a reasonable price. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. A quick way to put some coffee and food in your stomach so you can get on the road. There is an indoor pool that looked clean and refreshing but we were too tired to indulge. Last weekend I booked a couple of nights at the Marriott Fairfield for my mom, sister, and myself. Come travel day our plans changed dramatically when my flight didn't make it to Provo (that's another review waiting to happen with Allegiant Air). I called Fairfield on a couple of different occasions. Once to explain that I would not be checking in and that my mom and sister would be the ones checking in, again to see if they could check in early (and last minute) since my Pregnant sister was feeling sick, and again later to cancel our 2nd night. Each time I spoke with Javier at the front desk. He was overly accommodating, pleasant on the phone, and extremely helpful. My mom and sister said that they room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They also said that Javier gave them free candy bars. Next time I won't book a flight on Allegiant Air but I will stay at the Fairfield. read more

The creepy maintenance man cornered me while I was alone at the jacuzzi and talked nonstop for 15 minutes until I awkwardly got out and left. The morning staff was condescending and extremely RUDE!! If I could describe this hotel in one word the word I would select is HORRIBLE. The AC only stays on for about 2 min, and it is the old old old hand turn selection style. The rooms are small they claim they are newly renovated yeah ... Maybe 10 years ago. Our mattress has a nice pee stain on it.. My wife said she is sleeping in the car because it feels so dirty in here. Their clock has an iPod dock straight out of 2010 WTF Marriott. Parking is a joke don't bother leaving because when you come back there will be none.. We also found trash still in our room old fake rose petals, a wrapper, dead ants on the window covering. Gross gross gross. If you love your family or even mildly like them please do not subjugate them to this pile of trash. I forgot to mention that all the reviews about how loud it is are 100% correct all you hear is traffic. I also neglected to point out how rude the staff is and how dirty just the hotel is in general the stairs by our room had a bunch of grass tracked in I doubt they have been cleaned in multiple days. It's a horrific thing to go to a hotel and feel less rested then when you got there. #wishihadkeptdriving this place should have its Marriott branding taken away from it. read more
